So, as of last night, I'm still a "go" for FL. The surgery itself went really well, we just have to hope he recovers well enough. No word yet on if they'll recommend going to an assisted living or something before actually heading home.

I haven't posted much the last few days because I've been stressed out and tired from worrying about my friend and her MIL. We were going to Houston to visit them this weekend, and go to the Aquarium, etc. Saturday she called to tell me that her MIL who was diagnosed with Cancer in December is doing very badly. I knew she had come back to stay with them and go see her doctors at MD Anderson and that they were doing an MRI. The doctors told my friend they only give her weeks and to set up hospice care on Monday.
So, whoever said it... I agree. Cancer sucks.

I'm sorry about your friend. It's tough to feel so utterly useless in these situations. Letting your friend know you are there is worth a lot. Trust me.

Yes, I am still here and doing fine, thanks for asking. Hmf! I leave in 18 days. I am super duper excited. Wish I could get the old man as excited as I am. I asked him a couple of nights ago, "Are you getting excited about WDW yet?" His response, "uh-hu." That was it. He has always been a man of few words, but really!!!
I was going to post a picture of the new camper I'm getting, but photobucket is down for maintenance. So you'll have to wait 'til next time.

Hi Fockers probably the last time I will be on before Fockerfest.

Kelly and I are on the 7:15 am flight tomorrow out of newark, just printed the boarding passes. Still lots of cleaning to do and then off to spend time with my nephew (Kelly's brother) who is leaving for college Sat.

Make sure you keep the riff raff out and loooking forward to meeting all the flat Fockers

Keep your fingers crossed that Fay stays out of the path of us Fockers.

Can you make a "Fat Frog" ? Ever Heard of it ?? She drank them on St. Patrick's Day.. and I recall her drinking them After Finals
I can recall she said it had a kick...

I may just have to take up drinking till the gals get back... If the "Fat Frog" is that bad maybe I had better start with a Daiquiri, Pina Coloda or a "Tom Collins"
( Mom used to make a sort of "Tom Collins"... she put 1 tablespoon of Gin in it)

To all who are dealing with Cancer I feel for you. I lost my MIL to cancer it was awful watching her die, I was so tired from staying with her at night, working all day and just stressed. We all took turns but it was an emotional nightmare!!
DD is a little better today still hurts but not as much!! Thanks for the concern
