Let's see... our major excitement for the weekend was touring the brand new Colts stadium yesterday! I took DD7 with me and we walked all around the inside of the stadium. We even got to walk on the field. I'll post some pics later. Right now, I've got to get my girls in bed. The 2nd week of 2nd grade starts tomorrow -- and they've already had at least 3 timed math tests! Another one tomorrow...

I'll be back later tonight!

LOL I was not! I just figured whomever sent it could send both versions, i just did a "save as" for it....

So KC says he will log in under my name at some point tomorrow and let u all know I made it safe and sound! Tha car service has been called, the bags are packed and I am off to finish watching "The Mist" and get some sleep!

Here are some pics from our tour of Lucas Oil Stadium, the new home of the Indianapolis Colts and the site of the 2012 Super Bowl. They had free public tours yesterday at two hour intervals. Tickets were required, but were free. During each two hour window, they gave away 20,000 tickets for the self-guided tours. My BFF got us two tickets, but we didn't have a sitter available, so my DH stayed home with DD4 and I took DD7 with me. Believe it or not, I'm the sports fan in the family. DH really couldn't care less about football (or any sports for that matter).

So, here's a pic from the outside:

Here's a look across the street at the old RCA Dome, the former home of the Colts. The roof is scheduled to be deflated in September and the building will be torn down in order to make room for a much needed expansion of the convention center.

The new stadium has a retractable roof, but it was closed, so I didn't get any pictures of that. One neat thing was that when you walked in the North Gate of the building, there was no wall between the concourse and the seats. You could literally see right onto the field. Here's a pic of DD7 at the top of the first section of seats right near the doors we walked in:

From there, we walked all the way around the stadium in the concourse area. The crowds reminded me of WDW at Christmas or Spring Break!

Then, we made our way through a club to the seats and down to the field. Here's a pic of DD7 on the sideline right at the 50 yard line:

Then we walked into the endzone and I got a pic of DD7 sitting on the letter "N" in Indianapolis in the painted endzone. She really liked touching the turf.

After battling through all of those people, we went home and took a nap!!

Oh, thank goodness. I drove by that on the way home and had NO clue you were getting a new stadium, so I was SO confused. Cool!

So, the Clone Wars lived down to every review I had read. It's horribly animated and voice acted, and the story continues the Episode 1-3 problems of politics and really not fun nor character developing.

Buzz, though - "I LOVED it so much!"

We went to the cinema pub/restaurant, and all I can say is, thank god I had beer.

If you have kids who insist on Star Wars stuff, they probably wouldn't notice the horrible acting and such, and they might like it.

The drunk geeks (I can be a geek, just not a Star Wars one, so NO intended) at the table next to me laughed a lot more than I did, but they had buckets of beer. Then I found them out by their car arguing the fine points of Star Wars trivia, so I'm not sure we are the same league of "fans" if you will...

I think tomorrow we're going to take the dog to a state park where he can swim, and possibly have a playdate as well. I really need to get to Wal-Mart because Target didn't have what I needed, which was a surprise. Tuesday brings tennis late, but I don't think we have playgroup, so I still have time, assuming that I don't get bad news tomorrow.

The way the storm is tracking I should be okay getting in on Tuesday and Katt sent me her cell # so I will text so she can let you know that we all arrived safely.

I will definitely check in tomorrow too. Getting up early. Taking the dog to the doggie hotel, going to the bank and then getting a pedi. May have to take Jimmy to the doctor. He has had a cough now for a couple of days. Cna't tell if it is a cold or allergies. I am thinking allergies becasue it seems to get work at night

I don't think I shared that D went out to meet a friend after the movie. Now he's brought the friend home. I like the friend, but I am unshowered and the house is a disaster...

The breathing treatment seemed to work last night, so I will give him another one when he wakes up and one tonight when he goes to bed. I don't want to have to drag the nebulizer with us, so I am hoping all is well...I din't here him cough but once last night
