well, no actually......I couldn't pause the radio so I missed a lot!

That's funny!

I know about missing friends. One of mine went to Fiesta Texas in SA, and called to talk while she was driving home. She was passing my house and wanted to do a drive thru but needed me to tell her what exit it was. I offered to meet them for dinner, but she said she was in a hurry to get home. I was a little hurt.

BA wants me off so she can play webkinz with her friends---do your girls like them?

They were way more into it a few months ago. Now we have 30-40 stupid Webkinz living in our house and no one plays the games anymore!!!

I went with Ab (15 ) and BA (11) and her friend (10 1/2) and had no problems. It is pg-13, I think, but I don't remember any bad language or actual s-e-x.........so I think the other parts would be glossed over by the music for a little one. JMO--don't have any little ones now.

It's so hard. I am so protective and conservative with my choices, so I really feel like the only reason I'd let them watch it is for the singing and dancing. So, I feel like I'm not being consistent if I let them watch it. I don't want them to call me on it.

B would ignore anything with a boy/girl theme ( or a girl/boy/boy/boy theme! ), but C is problem. She's into trying to dance with an attitude and dress inappropriately- only with dancing and 'performing' not in everyday life, but still...

Well, we just went up to the junior high again. I met with Jon's case manager and we are setting up his health plan meeting. Jon also opened his locker today...for the first time...all by himself!!!

Jon insisted on buying a school shirt...two in fact. They smallest size they had was an adult small. So, Jon's now wearing his new nightgown.

Hi everyone else! I haven't much patience for too many quotes today lol. I think my insomnia is coming back...i fear that...I need some darn sleep! I was up most of the night then slept late this morning. So annoying, I feel all out of whack.

Just packing and making some choc chip pancakes for dinner...not much else going on!

Ok, I'm here!
Had swimming this am. Gus is doing AWESOME! Then ran home, showered and got dressed to go have lunch with my librarian friend at her house. It's about 35 mins to her house, and I was so glad to have a bit of quiet time to listen to NPR and just RELAX. It's been heck at my house for a week or more. SD is doing SO well (by the way, that's my DS15 for those of you NOT reading my TR....) He hasn't had any pills (valium) since the first day he was prescribed. And today he mowed the yard. I think he's better. Or at least I am hoping and praying he is.

Gus and I weeded the strawberry patch while SD mowed. I thought we should stay close by in case he needed me. No need, he was great. I am making some blueberry pancakes for dinner (Kat gave me the idea) and then we are going to play Disney Sorry and watch Jungle Book 2 on the Disney channel.

Lunch was so nice today. I really needed some grown up time.

Glad you guys all seem well. Lessa, hope your "date thingy" goes well. I'll keep fingers crossed for you!

We just finished watching JB2

While we were checking in, I asked about being the flag family and not surprisingly, there were no open dates. However, we were surprised to learn we had automatically received a room upgrade. Concierge baby!

Score

After hearing many good reviews, we decided on dinner at Artist Pointe. The restaurant wasn't very crowded and the CM's were all very hospitable. We started with the spring salad and cream of mushroom soup. Both were very good. I rarely eat meat, but the beef tenderloin sounded good, and it was.

DH got the signature buffalo, which he enjoyed, although he enjoyed the sweet potatoes even more. Our server, Kyle, then came out with the recipe.

What night was this? Who was your seater? Was it my mother? Did she embarass me

Then DH started telling our server about the Fockers and the DIS and whatnot. Dear, our server is busy and really doesn't care, although he was particularly concerned that no bad reviews would be forthcoming. He did tell me that Deb from Allearsnet eats at at least one restaurant each week to keep her info up to date. Hate that for her! So Kyle was a very good server and would recommend asking for him next time you go.

I had new pix of the pup to show......he's 31 pounds now.......but he has chewed through the camera cord and I can't download any.

Great news! I have FOUND Dancing Queen!! Now it can play in YOUR head all day long too!

While I know I should be here catching up I was not. I was on the college board. I want Nana to do the Carreerstart program before starting college. I was all excited about her doing this until I realized she would be in Florida with out me and I would be way back in Michigan. Then I realized next June my first born will graduate from high school and go on with her life that may not include being here at home safe with me. It sounds like a good program and a fun way to have a first job and learn to live independently. I just am so confused. If she stays here and starts college she will go to a local college and live at home. If she does this she may well still go to a local college afterwords but not ever move back home. So much for me being the cool mom who is handling her baby being an adult. It doesn't even help thinking about getting the big bedroom back.

I know what u mean--I was pretty strict about the PG13 rating.......particularly when Ab was the oldest.........I think I've slipped a bit with BA......she's always acted older in a good way--she's very sensible. I used to go onto Focus on the Family website and read the movie reviews--they are written for parents and really tell you WHY something is rated the way it is. (For instance--I'll let Ab see rated R horror movies but not other kinds)
