Evening all. Crazy day here. Went grocery shopping this morning. Then ran to Kohl's to get a Birthday present for the MIL. While there we got a new table and chairs for the patio. It was a $700 set, we got it for $130

After that we had the IL's over for the MIL's birthday dinner. They just left and now Jim and Jimmy are watching the Indredible Hulk (The original TV pilot) so I have a few minutes to Dis before bath and bed routine.

Today was a boring but restful day ... kids did some swimming, I did some lounging. It was good. Back to Barbieville tomorrow.

This is true. I wish I had something to make the next 2 weks go faster

Me, too. I won't even have Barbie stories for y'all!

Evening ya'll! It's a billion degrees here...so I'm a loungin' in the house in the AC. I've got Abba in my head after last night's movie. I've decided to teach Jon my rendition of "Dancing Queen"...for his own good of course!

Dawn, I'm so sorry I haven't volunteered. I love the idea, but things are so crazy right now with end-of-semester work, I didn't want to commit and not be able to follow through.

That's no problem! I understand completely.
I thought of you when I read we will be studying renaissance art this unit. Some of the books I bought for the kids I thought you would like to share with Leo.

Speaking of heated... Leo just had a bad dream and was sobbing in his sleep. As i went to check on him, Gramma was heading that way. I told her, "I've got him..."
Gramma: "I can get him."
Me: "No need, I'm right here, about to open his door."
Gramma: "But he's sobbing!"





Meaning what? That I - his MOTHER - lack the ability to soothe and comfrot my BABY?!?!

I just shot her a dirty look and pushed past into his room, where I hugged and spoke soothingly to him... whilst Gramma lurked in the doorway and Leo kept looking over like, "who's the scary person standing in my door?!"


THIS is why I keep my Rx for Xanax!

Sometimes I seriously think they think they can out-mother us. My mom likes to act like she's way closer to my oldest than I am. Uh, no, I don't think so. I'm with her all the time. We talk about everything. I know her better than anyone.

Once she acted like something B told her was a secret she'd been keeping from me for a long time. Whatever! I know B had said it a long time ago. I was livid. "Oh, I know. She told me several months ago..." Ahhhhhhh!!! Then I was pi$$ed she would keep a secret from me just to bring it up later. It was just to be hurtful and spiteful, I swear.

Okay- I swear I sound like I have major mom issues (which, I guess I do ) but I'm going to shut up now so I don't scare anyone.

Ah yes... The Silent Treatment. I know it well, my friend. When TE pulls that I become this very sickenly sweet personality and over enthusiastic. It just kills her!

Dawn--I've been getting new undies lately too! Ross has some cute ones for not so expensive. Ab told me that "you feel better with cute underwear"........so today I put on a cute pair of orange bikinis........that showed thru my white capris ........and were too tight cause I've gained weight which made me admit that I apparently don't really wear a medium. .......so I'm trying again tomorrow with the blue ones and we'll see if I feel any better!
(maybe it just works with VS ones...... )

hello girls!! i found my way over! i need to go back to the last thread and catch up there. i worked w,t, f. then, we went to cleveland on sat and stayed overnight.

my inlaws bought a boat last month, so we went on lake erie sat evening. it was NOT fun!!! the waves were huge, so we were bouncin around with water spraying everywhere. (which is okay in 90 degree weather, but it's cleveland, so it was a bit chilly!) . then, masen (2) was scared , so he kept crying and screaming. we just turned around and went back to the marina. regan just luved the water. she was watching the waves and talking to herself.
i said-- reg, who are ya talkin to ?;
she says-- i'm talking to the mermaids.

the she says, "this boat isn't fast enough!!"

so, we went to dinner ,then to the hotel. we had a blast swimming in the indoor pool. we swam until 11pm!!!!

we went to the cleveland zoo today!! it was so much fun. masen just loved the animals and he got to ride the train.

oh, and i got a cleveland zoo waterproof bag/backpack that is LIME GREEN!!! i can't wait to take it to disney!

oh and on the iep--- it's already done for the year. ( we did it in april). so i'm going to let her start the year with it, then when we come back from disney i'm going to talk to them about the attendant. i think it will be easier to change it after we have already tried it. i think if i try to change it now, they'll give me a harder time. if i wait till she starts the year, i can say i feel she needs an attendent d/t this , this , and this. kwim??? does this sound like a good plan?????


i got the cutest croc sandles for masen!!! he just luvs em. i tried to take them off when i tried them on in the store, but he pulled his feet away and said, " my shoe"!!! well, more like my choo!!!


i'm trying to only read a little bit of breaking dawn each day, so it will last longer!!! i don't want it to end!!!

thanks lessa!! i've been trying , but it's soooo hard. esp when my husband eats everything in sight and doesn't gain a lb!!! my son is the same way, but my poor daughter got my genes!! she's not really overweight, she's just big for her age. i've got 6 wks until disney, so i'd like to lose 10 more by then. that's a lot, but i'm going to try.

i kwym on those same 5 lbs. that's what i was doing, then i finally broke through them. it happens eventually.

Kat - Looking forward to hearing all about the Breaking Dawn stuff. I finally ordered Twilight...looking forward to start reading it when it gets here.

I ordered Kingdom Keepers! I am planning on bringing it with me to WDW to read on the plane! When the 2nd one comes out in paperback I'll get it too!

So, Fockers, I am TIRED. I'm heartsick over what is wrong with my baby. I am calling the Dr. as soon as I can this morning even though it's Sunday. He's on call usually. I just don't know what's going on. Please subsititute all your well wishes and prayers for my eye to my baby. I am losing it.

Kat - The party sounds fun! Can't wait to see pics. I was at Walmart yesterday and saw they had copies of the books there. I was going to see about picking up the series but couldn't find anymore of them. I might have to run up to Books-A-Million this week to see if they have them.

All I can say is WHY????? I hated to wear my pants like that!!!

I found copies of it in weird places today...several copies even- I was surprised!

I so hated wearing pants that way, here's hopin' its not coming back!

Went to L's birthday dinner tonight, it was fun. Good food (shrimp & goat cheese quesidilla) and good times. I think I made an unfriend of one of the other people who were there tho. She made a comment about the "True Blood" series coming out thats based on the Sookie Stackhouse Series and she said it stunk...SO i Asked "did you read the books?" she said "NO" SO I said "then get back to me when you have". I guess it came off snotty. Ohw ell, I'll prob never see her again. She also mentions hating harry potter- nuff said!

2 weeks till Disney! I am freaking out! Tomorrow is full on planning mode. I also need to go to the store for some new underthings for me!

Hope everyone's weekend was awesome... I will make a mini TR of the Breaking Dawn party tomorrow for sure!

Good Morning, Fockers!

I truly can't believe I'm the first one up this morning?? I stayed up last night to watch my boys (GO COLTS!), but to no avail. Luckily, it's just the preseason and most of the good guys were taking the night off.

Sounds like everyone had an eventful weekend. We did NOTHING!!! Yep, that's right, nothing. I did a bit of laundry and went grocery shopping, but that's about it on Saturday. Yesterday we went out for lunch after church with our adult Sunday School class (very fun) and then ended up going over to my BFF's house to swim in her pool later in the afternoon.

Today I'm watching my neighbor's little girl while she has her second round of chemo. Forecast says 91, so I'm sure they'll be playing inside.

I had so many pages to catch up on today that I forget what I was going to say, other than....

Mel - I hope the doctor's visit goes well today. I agree with a bunch of the other posters that maybe your DS could stand to be on some kind of anti-anxiety medicine. And I'm glad to hear about your mistake on the drops. Maybe that's the solution!!!

Hope everyone's Monday is going well. One more week until school starts...not sure if that's or right now. Ask me after I spend the day with my girls plus one more...
