, SHE is now being admitted to the hospital today - she has had fever and chills for days and had blood work done yesterday. They called today and said they had labs back, and she needed to come to the office and then she'd be admitted, but the nurse didn't tell her why. So, that's a little worrisome.

hope everything goes well! sepsis is infection of the blood, which started somewhere else. now, they try to figure out where it started. could be anything, uti, pneumonia, endocarditis, etc, etc. it's good they caught it early. it's really bad when it's septic shock. let me know if you have any questions. i'm not saying i'll know all the answers, but i might be a ble to give you some infor.

Good call! Really, my first word of warning to anyone considering a move from the NE to FL is "How important is your child's education to you?" Because our schools SUCK.

yeah, i've been doing my research. i didn't want to move without knowing everything i could. while researching the school systems, i completely agree with you, they suck. and, i can't afford to live in fl and pay private school for 3 kids thanks for the reinforcement though, it makes me feel like i am making the right decision.

yes, and def score on the insurance!! i better watch my p's and q's at work though!!! i'm not good with authority firgures. but, i better watch my mouth, cuz with the amount they're paying out for my medical expenses, i'm sure my name is at the top of the list. you know, the elimination list!!!!

The kids were ok. SD was sort of weird. He had to take a pill before we came home. He slept all night though. Tomorrow is his "orientation" at the h.s. for schedule, locker and photo id pics. We have to be there at 7:45 am. I hope that tonight goes well.

We had a long talk today and I tried to just keep reinforcing that he needs to figure out a way to calm himself and that it's really up to him. We discussed that if there were anything REALLY wrong (he tends to think he's having a heart attack or trouble breathing during the bad ones....) that he'd know. The Dr. would know. I would know.

Gus was fine. He's always fine. He's the happiest kid ever. He was so happy I was home though. He said he missed having tea with me. Awww.

i'm glad the kids were okay and you got to have a great time with your dh and the fockers!!!
i'm glad sd is doing better. you're doing the best thing, by encouraging him and being there for him. he's lucky to have a great mum!!!

Hiya Fockers!! We got home Sunday night and had to hit the ground running...Michael started school yesterday and it's my busiest week of the month at work and we've got doctor appts, etc. this week. Plus, I've got probably THE worst cold (or something) I've had in EONS...sick as a dog...

Not happy to be home:and in fact, I'm still pouting about it.

Michael and I are both suffering post-Disney-depression and counting down the days to November.

Had a great time, although I don't want to ruin anyone's TR so I won't say anything.

Yet.

Had a blast. It was great seeing everyone and meeting so many of you in person!

DH started his chemo. last night. He looked a bit swollen in the face this morning when I got home. He said he was fine but he took an extra anti-nausia pill just in case. Then he headed to work.
This afternoon he was tired but no more than usual. His face wasn't puffy anymore. He said he was good all day. Keep the pixie dust comin'. We're 12 days away from WDW.

to you! soon , you will be in disney and can forget all your troubles while you're there. that's what we usually do.

Nothing is as frustrating as trying to explain the American electoral system to a bunch of Canadians and an Eastern European. My head feels like it is going to explode. I just spent the past 30 minutes trying to explain it to them and they still don't get it.

Well Fockers, my baby boy starts preschool tomorrow afternoon! All week I was looking foward to getting rid of him for a couple of hours but now that the day is almost here I want to bawl my eyes out!

He's been to daycare before, and the church nursery, and sitters but he has always had his sister there with him. Not tomorrow though and I'm nervous about leaving him and how he will do. He is such a mama's boy.

Bedtime is getting better though and I'm hoping it'll get easier as we go into the weekend. Their father decided to call tonight around 9 and when I told him they were in bed he sounded shocked. Oh well too bad for him. He of course promised to call tomorrow before DR heads off to school but I wouldn't bet my last dollar on that one.

it's so hard when they start school.

That is MY kind of ironing! I am a hang dryer of many things, so I shake out the clothes and hang them to dry. Then I pray they dry nice, so I don't have to plug that thing in. If DH is home, I usually ask him to iron for me. He irons all of his dress shirts to a crisp each day! YUCK!

yup, i agree!!! i hate ironing. my dh irons his work clothes,but my philosophy is, they're just going to get wrinkiled when i put them on!

Read a little bit of Eclipse because I HAVE to catch up with the rest of the world and that's it.

Just got off the phone with Mom. She thinks she feels a bit better today.

She had an EKG and the liver ultrasound, and will call me with results. She hadn't been able to eat yet, but thinks she'll be better yet once she does. Dad went to Grandpa's room whilst she was having this testing, and thinks he's a little perkier today, too. They are sending him to the hospital rehab for now.

i'm glad to hear she's feeling better!! keep us informed.

OMG. We won't even mention the times I volunteered at the free mammogram place.

okay, this reminded me of something. are any of you buffet fans??? parrot heads??? well, this guy at buffet has a cardboard box on his head with two large holes in it over his face. on top of box , it reads........free mammograms!!!!

I'm home from our travels! SD did great at his HS thingy. He got his schedule. WOW. He's not stressed about it at all but he's got:
Racquet Sports
Intensive Conceptual Physics
Spanish 3
Geometry
Marketing 1

They do tri-mesters, so that's the first one. The next two are some the same/ some diff. Add some Language arts 10, Drafting and Design, Architectural Art History, World History/Geography and you have the rest.

His locker wouldn't open, but he eventually got it. And he had his pic taken for photo ids. His friends were all there and he seemed completely relaxed. We grabbed lunch afterwards and I said, "Tomorrow is a big day, we have two dr's appts in a row!" He asked, who? I said, you, the psychologist and then I have a glaucoma appt. He said that he doesn't need to see her, he's good now.
I said, Good! You can tell her that!!! I will say that he seems to have a handle on himself, finally. I'm so relieved! Thanks for all the nice comments, you guys!!!

Gus did fine too. He met his teacher (She's a doll) and he found his desk. He has tons of friends in his room and he's excited to start! Now, I have to go do Bob's laundry so he can go to OHIO tomorrow. He'll be home Friday.

You guys were SOOOOOO chatty today. I said, DONT be too chatty!!

Here's a pic of my big boy heading off to preschool this afternoon. He did WONDERFUL and had a good time. He came back all excited that he got to dance. LOL

There were no tears on my part and Linds and I went and did some grocery shopping while he was in school and got the things we needed to make her lunch for school. I can not believe school lunches are $2.50!!!!

Her big day to start Kindy is tomorrow and I hope I do the same as I did today with DR. I don't think it'll really hit me until next week though when both are in school and I really do have that 'free' time!

busy day today. well, i slept for 6 hours cuz i worked last night (tues). we had a horrible night!!!! there are 4 nurse on staff until 4am, then it drops to 3, and only 1 doctor!! so at 2am, we get all of this within 5 minutes of each other. 1. intentional overdose that starts seizing upon arrival
2. 10yr old astha, severe trouble breathing.
3. 80ish yr old gi bleed (ended up given blood transfusion in er)
4. 80 yr old in cardiac arrest
5. plus all the other abd pain/chest pain/ tooth pain, etc.


it was just crazy!!! i worked in icu and i like the critical cases so i stayed with the full arrest. she actually made it (which is probably not a good thing , since quality of life will prob not come back). i was in the room at bedside for 3 hours straight!!!!! i couldnt leave cuz i was titrating meds to keep her hr and bp up. (basically keep her alive). needless to say, i was physically and mentally exhausted at 8am when my shift was over. the family was really nice, so that always makes it easier. i apologized to them cuz i was basically ignoring them in the room. i told them , i'm sorry i'm ignoring you , but this involves a lot of concentration. they completely understood. it didn't help that in the next bed was the overdose drunk who kept yelling and trying to pull out his catheter. security had to stay at his bedside. the family commented " at least its entertaining" yes, it certainly was!!!!


so, that was my night. but i slept , got kids off bus, picked up 2 yr old at mil's , then went shopping for a bit. i went to jc penney. usually , i'm a gap /old navy girl. but, i went to penney's for a sale. they have some cute clothes!!! i was pleasantly surprised! and the clothes fit so much better than gap/old navy. anymore, old navy/gap has such tight fighting clothes!! i can not wear tight clothes anymore. after 3 kids, i dont' think i will ever be albe to pull that off! i got 3 new outfits for disney trip!!!! 3 pairs of bermuda shorts (love bermuda shorts!!) and 3 shirts to match.

oh, did i forget to tell my fockers that i got 3 pairs of crocs online for $60 total!!! where is kat? i need to tell her about my bargain shopping!!! they came in the mail today! i'm luvin them.


i need to go shopping for more, but my check book is not agreeing with me!

They never determined the source of my Brothers...And for what ever Reason Autopsy reveiled nothing. I just figured Mom was bugging GOD to get her Son up there anyway he could.

Well, I didn't even want to be up this early, but the dog had other ideas. He's my early riser. Luckily, the bus doesn't come until 8:30, so DD7 doesn't have to get up too early. It doesn't take her very long to get ready... eat breakfast, get dressed, brush hair & teeth, and then she's done! Wish I was that easy....

Other than that no other plans. DR and I might head to the grocery store to pick up things for dinner and the garage sale we are having on Saturday.

Lindsey wants to sell lemonade so I need to pick that up with some water and then we'll make cookies and brownies. DR has preschool tomorrow but she doesn't have school. Yesterday, today and tomorrow the teacher divided them into groups just to get to know each other and get to know the school.

Anylongstoryshort, I figure the cookies and brownies are something her and I can do together tomorrow while DR is in school. She wants to add to her Disney fund...she's learning early.

it's hard to let go. that 1st child and 1st day of kg is the hardest. so is it all day everyday kg??? sounds like something fun for you 2 to do!!
