Now I know why I fell behind in this thread. I forgot how chatty everyone is. I worked the summer at Ames True Temper and started back at the school this week. Thank God the old, fat and horribly mean teacher resigned over the summer and we have a great new teacher.

I am not even going to pretend i can catch up... but I'm back! We got in last night close to midnight and spent the day unpacking and relaxing and finally now are waiting for some dinner to come (real pizza that I always miss on vaca).

I can't wait to see what everyone's been up to....so Janet hook a girl up with the goods!

I just want to say what a huge pleasure it was meeting all of you, it was a wonderful trip despite the rain!

Thanks for the hugs! I will keep you posted. They just took Mr. Morphine away and gave me some oral pain meds - Percocet. If they work, then I get to go home tomorrow. If not, I will probably have surgery tomorrow. What a great way to spend my birthday, huh? I don't think we'll be going to the zoo on Sunday afternoon to celebrate. Instead, I'll be lucky to be able to get out of the house at all. But at least I can have food now. All I've had since I got here was some ice chips and that was only after the OB-GYN came in at 3pm. DH ran to Bob Evans at 7:45 and got me some pancakes since the hospital cafeteria closed at 7:30. They tasted good. I think I'm going to get some sleep now. Percocet seems to be making me a bit loopy!

Jodi! No, that's not a way to spend your birthday. I had a cyst that I had to have a laparoscopy for in 2000. It was about the size of a coaster. Not fun...
I'm surprised they are waiting if the pain is that bad. You could be on your way to recovery by Tuesday if they do it tomorrow or feel horrible and hope it doesn't rupture all weekend. I'd be asking for the surgeon in the morning if it was me.

Since we only count work days and don't count today or the day of departure, you're down to THREE Fuzzy days!!!

Also...I just walked into Jon's room...and we spend hours...HOURS...the other day building this 3-D pirate ship puzzle. My chihuahua is going to die...she chewed it like a bone...and ate several pieces.

When we went to dinner at my MIL's Tuesday, we had chocolate pie for dessert. The "little kids" were laughing and saying, "We look like Daddy." This is the picture I took of them with Kirt.

Hi guys!

well, there's a good reason why I haven't been around today. I called the doctor at 8:30 this morning to see if I could get something for the pain and he sent me to the ER. So, after numerous tests and seeing lots of doctors, I've been admitted to the hospital with a ovarian cyst that measures 7cm x 10cm. At this point, I'm on IV morphine and they're just waiting to see if I can handle the pain. It's not an emergency situation. My OB-GYN is not on call this weekend and if I can, I'd like to wait to have her do the surgery. It will be sometime next week, unless the pain is too bad. If so, then I'll have surgery this weekend sometime and the doc on call will do it. Either way, it's got to come out.

Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know. I'm feeling pretty good right now (thanks Mr. Morphine). I'll check in again later. My BFF and her DH are here (along with my DH) and I'm starting to feel a bit sleepy.

Oh yes! It was our best meal by far---the sunset and view were wonderful! And the service and food quality were great--Daran compared it to some great Paris restaurant he went to .
My girls really enjoyed it too, but they are really into fine dining. We had the earliest 5:30 seating--that was sunset time then!
