Good Morning all !! I had to do an overnight check at 1 am soI slept in a little ! Thyen completed an online course for work! Busy morning so far!! Just heard Steph is student of the month and gets her certicate on Friday, so I got the OK to leave work to attend that. This month is brutal with end of year activities!! Lucky I can flex my schedule pretty easily so I should be able to make most of them !! It's a little cooler here today but still nice !!

Like V, I would use vinegar. You can fill up a small bowl and place it upright on your top shelf and run it without anything else. I have used Apple Cider Vinegar to help with the stinch. I have a stainless steel dishwasher and when it was finished running, that thing shined like the top of the Chrysler Building!

We are going to clean up our house and take showers. We had a lazy day yesterday. The kids and I literally laid in bed the whole day. They watched movies and I played on the computer. It was definitely needed! I need to tweak a few things on our schedule for WDW in Dec. Having never gone in Dec. I have so many "what if's/should we's in my mind".


Forgot to tell you all that Tink is just fine today. No coughing or barfing. Must have bee a one nighter.

Will try the vinegar and glad Tink is better.

I think the playgroup hostess is setting up a kiddie pool and some sprinklers, so it should be a fine afternoon.

Nothing too exciting here. Leo started summer camp yesterday... same school, teachers, students, but he's having fun! We're both jonsing for some water park time... maybe next-next weekend...

I am waiting for the doc to tell me what they are doing with Nana knee before we plan the water park but we are wanting to go bad also.

Update on Jimmy: Jim took him to the Doctor. No fever, no sinus infection, nothing. She seems to think, if the fever doesn't come back it was just all the heat of the last couple of days got to him. Jim said he is fine, they were having breakfast at "Old McDonalds" and then were going to go to the library.

Glad Jimmy is back to normal.

Today is my last full day - tomorrow is my final. I still have to do my 40 hours externship, my coding certification on July 19th and them I am completely legit and employable!
I'm not going to start to work until after Wienersalad Palooza, though.

I'm glad Jimmy and Tink are feeling better. And Jen, I'm sorry for your losses. How old are your brothers? Are you close enough that you can pull them a bit more into your family unit and be their support?

CE, I am amazed at how developed the beach area is. One big ol' wave and all of those beautiful buildings would be gone. And I'm digging the bowling shoes.

I feel for all of you without central air. I spoke to my dad this morning and he went to bed last night in an apartment that was 91 degrees. Today looks like another rough day, but relief is on it's way.

UGH! Hope it gets cooler soon! Would you believe we didn't have AC in our first apartment when I got married down here? After we'd been there 3 months (May-July, no less), our landlord rewarded us for staying with a window unit.

I need some input, please. My oldest son has long hair. It's super fine and he has oodles of it. Its been getting frizzy with the humidity, so I'm trying to find something to control the craziness. I use Fructis anti-humidity smoothing milk and really like it, but he says he'll smell like a girl I can't find anything that won't make him smell like a girl. Any suggestions?

Hey LL, hand over that Mother of the Year Award now . Remember earlier I said that we didn't do anything becasue Jimmy just seemed REALLY tired after he got home from school. I figured it was just the brutal heat wearing him out right? Nope he had a 102.8 fever when we took him up his bath. He's sick . Won't be going to school tomorrow. Jim will take tomorrow off since they are getting out at 12:00 again anyway. I was planning on Thursday and Friday off for cleaning/prepping for BBQ on SAturday and Graduation is on Friday. I hope he is well enough to go to that, even if he misses the rest of the week.

Ooo, ooo, ooo! (I feel like Horschak here!) Have I got a product for you....
Redken Outshine 01 Anti-Frizz Polishing Milk. The only - ONLY! - product that's ever calmed the frizzies in my hair in full humidity, provided jsut a touch of control, doesn't weigh it down, AND has so little scent, it doesn't fight with my perfume! I think it's meant for straitening, and I've blown mine out with it, but it does wonders for my curls - smooths and softens them without pulling the curl out. Great stuff!

This morning I woke my DS15 up for school at 6, got him out the door (I went with to hold the umbrella so I could bring it back inside after he caught the bus) and the bus pulled up, driver leaned out the door and said NO SCHOOL and drove away.

He seems better today. No fever, but we are thinking sinus infection. Jim is taking him to the Doctor's just in case.

As for my "dad" dating his deceased wifes best friend after 2 months of her being gone... Just can't comprehend. At first I thought it was a mistaken way of coping. Now I think he has lost his rocker! He has basically checked out of our lives. For me, I have a family. My own family. For my little "brothers" this is just unexceptable!

We thought my Dad would soon have another GF once my StepMum died, he'd nursed her for months and months and deserved some happiness and he's very young at heart, well the opposite happened and he is so in love still with my Step Mum no one else compares, it's now been 2.5 years and we really hope he will find someone as he's only 61 and got alot of life to lead, it just shows that you really don't know what will happen

I managed to get conned into helping give out teas and coffees at school this afternoon, the only Tuesday I don't have golf on It's just I've done so many years on the PTFA I'm ready to finish!

I am sure what V suggested will work, but if it doesn't... I use a new product by Aveda. It is called smooth infusions, style prep smoother. It has a very light citrus scent, as it is made with mostly natural or organic items. They also make a great shampoo/conditioner to go along with it.

Thing is...I have no ideas as to what to get him. He has everything he wants. Every time I ask...he's like. "I dunnooooo." Geez...can't he be a little more helpful. After all...it is all about making this easy on me!

I'm still in my jammies...first day of summer vacation to do that! It's too flippin' hot outside to do anything. We have 100 degree temps for the next several days. Who wants to come to NM???

I just spent the last 5 minutes in my backyard flailing my arms about to try to get my dog to come in. She thought it was a game to run from me. That 3 pound pooch is fast. There's a large field and then the mall behind my house...and I am visible from the street. People probably thought I was a crazy lady...running around, flailing my arms and screaming for my "Kinz" to come inside. I tried to scare her to come into the house by pretending to squirt her with the hose. Well, what ended up happening is that "someone" had not put the nozzel all the way on the hose. So, when I turned on the water, it squirted out the sides all over me.
