Hello everyone!! Once again behind but sorta skimmed the posts.

Angela: Cool sorta review of Toy Story Mania :thumbsup2

Jo: The pic is weird and cool at the same time.

V: Love Leo's bed! I like the stairs feature, so cool.

I hope everyone's doing well! :wave2:

Have Goodwill come right after the sale so you don't have to bring it back in the house. :thumbsup2
That's the plan, girlfriend!!! :thumbsup2

Did you not get any "bees wax" to put "On The Brackets" ?? Orthodontist should have given you some. (It will be in the Toothpaste and mouth sore aid section of the stores).If you get some and put it on the braces in the places they are rubbing... then it will stop that problem .
Also... an investment in a "waterpick" will help greatly because the 'floss" just can not get everywhere. It's also good for kids in general that HATE TO FLOSS.

The rest will have to "settle down". She will need to give it 4-5 days( so I have been told from other kids with them nowadays) especially the first time or two.
Ditto on ABSOLUTELY everything Katt said! :worship:

I'm doing a garage sale the first SaturMay 31. Any tips? Should I advertise in my local paper? What should I do? Just put signs up in front of the neighborhood. I can also post something on freecycle.
YEP. Lots of signs. And put it in whatever your local *free-ish* paper is. My local one is running it for two weeks, about 20 words for 20 bucks! :thumbsup2

good morning to all , good night for me. i just got home from work, so time for bed. okay first, funny story from work. guy came in with ......let's call it a "there's something about mary" injury (you have to see the movie to understand , but i don't know how to properly/safely describe it) he claims he was dancing (grinding ) and it got stuck in the zipper!!! why he wasn't wearing any undies is beyond me! wow. i love where i work !!! just had to share. :rotfl2: good night!!
Bwhahahahahaha! Poor guy! :eek:

Hi ya Fockers,

I do am thinking about a garage sale, you know how much carp I have accumulated all by self in the last 15 years:scared1:

I was going to advertise on Craigslist, my town won't allow signs.. I ahve been told craigslist is a great way to advertise.

I'm thinking mid June.

OK Rachel I nearly spit my lunch with the something about Mary injury:lmao: :eek:

V - I hope everything is OK with your ID, very scary!

Maybe we should all just post pics of our junk and start making trades.

We have done garage sales before, but always with another family. Our old neighborhood used to have 1 day a year for the garage sale and do all the advertising. Our friends would bring their stuff over and we would have it all together at my house. We made fun of everyone who bought our junk. Of course, we are the ones who paid full price, so maybe they should have been laughing at us.

The last 3 years, we have traveled to SC, taking our junk with us and doing a garage sale at my inlaws. We always have a lot of fun and have 4 families there. We recognized people as repeaters and people would tell us they were waiting for our garage sale.

My neighborhood does one in the fall, but they tell everyone they have to pay $25 to participate. They put an ad in the paper ($9) and put up signs. They take the extra money and put it in the Social Committee fund, which I disagree with because everyone doesn't benefit from that. Plus, we already pay $550/year in dues and they already said they are increasing it to $600 next year.

V: I love the bed!!!

Katt: They did give us wax. She has wax on the brackets at the end. Those were sticking to her mouth. Now, I'm trying to alternate tylenol and aleve. I'm glad to hear about the water pick. She said it was really hard to floss last night. I wasn't home to help her, so I'm hoping it will be easier with a little help. Otherwise, I'll be picking that up too.

Rachel: That's too funny! I can't believe he told you.Kirt would suffer in silence. :lmao: Do they make wax for that?! :rotfl2:

We just got home from Grandma's picking up more wax, and buying some mouth numbing gel. When B got into the kitchen she just started sobbing. I felt so horrible. I have her laying down in my bed watching t.v. with an ice pack on her face. :sad1: Aiden hugged her and Camryn made her a card. Sweet kids. :love:

So the wax was coming off ?? never had it to stick to my mouth.( except one time when I did not "kneed" the wax enough. It needs to be soft and pliable.

Have you tried a "heat pack" for pain ?? Sometimes the exra blood flow will ease the pain.
Two motrin ??? Sara can take two for pain and such every 4 hours. Thats what the Dr.'s say. They can not say that on the pill bottles... "Liability"

I am assuming it is the "pressure" of the braces pulling on the teeth that is annoying her the most.

V--> That bed is ADORABLE! I love it! Leo must be having so much fun running all around it! Love the set up!

Mel--> I want me some babies...eventually...we'll see what happens with my inlaws then...it's at least never dull with them!
I have tried to get KC to sell some of his old games and he swears he may use them, one day!He's liek a big kid when it comes to his games. We have a carpload of bootleg PS2 games tho, so I can't expect him to ditch those, but the stuff is piling up->he has as many games as you have crocs! :rotfl2: JK

HSM--> I had braces for a bit more than 4 years. it gets better. I ahd all kinds of problems with mine at first, it hurt, they popped off but you get used to it. Do they still give you the wax stuff to stick on them? I used the heck outta that stuff!

Rachel--> OMG :scared1: about your work story.... how embarrassing for him!!!!

HI Z!!!!!! I'm getting HYPED about August!!!!

Mo-->I am on craigslist all the time, great free site!!!

:goodvibes HI! To anyone else I may have missed along the way!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's finally nice out again and we got one of our tax refunds (State) today!! Now it means I can go grocery shopping without watching what I buy so much. YAY! I can also buy the shorts I want online (for August)!! I suppose I'll have to let Kc buy a game or something too..LOL...if he's good!? ;)
Today I'm just cleaning up and relaxing and making a few calls to the Drs about my paperwork. Tomorrow is the in-laws but we got 2 friends to come with us (this usually makes his mom much more social and nice, so she doesn't look bad in front of friends), so that makes it much easier on me! :yay:
Tomorrow is free iced coffee day at dunkin donuts here! Theres one by us and by his parents- you can bet i'm stopping!
Happy Wednesday!!!
free iced coffee day???
human_male.gif
Morning Fockers!
Jo I'm wondering who will guess too!!!
Nobody has even guessed Rosie????
OK everyone what do you think Apples and Pears means in Cockney Rhyming slang?
Yes you :rotfl2:
Jo, you have more home improvement projects than anyone I know! :faint: When they're all done, can you come help with a couple of mine?! ;)
Yeah but I've also got the most unfinished projects too :rotfl2:
I've got nothing. :confused3 Does it have anything to do with sneezing or trampolining?! :rotfl2:
Hey :rotfl2:
Ack! I didn't know braces would be this painful for Baylie! She's in horrible pain. :guilty: I bet she doesn't think they are cute now! :sad1:
Oh poor thing, I honestly can't remember mine giving me much pain, I did only have 2 studs though :confused:
I understand. My dh and I don't like it so much when my fil visits, but if he doesn't offer to come my dh gets hurt feelings. He won't admit it though. Last Spring, my fil decided to quit his job (he is single - thrice divorced) and take 3 months off. He came to visit us the weekend before he was going back to work and spent 1 night. What really irritated dh is that his first visit was to see his EX Step daughter and then he spent 2 months in Illinois visiting his parents.
And DH really gets upset because his dad tells everyone how our kids love him so much and are always so excited to see him, but he only sees our kids about twice a year and never spends more than 1 night. DH says they don't even know who he is.
Families hey :headache:
okay first, funny story from work. guy came in with ......let's call it a "there's something about mary" injury (you have to see the movie to understand , but i don't know how to properly/safely describe it) he claims he was dancing (grinding ) and it got stuck in the zipper!!! why he wasn't wearing any undies is beyond me! wow. i love where i work !!! just had to share. :rotfl2: good night!!
Ewwwww :rotfl2:
Hope she feels better soon, Angela (camelotcats) had new braces recently may be worth asking her advice, so cute of Aiden and Camryn :goodvibes
Tomorrow is free iced coffee day at dunkin donuts here! Theres one by us and by his parents- you can bet i'm stopping!
:rotfl2:
how much longer until your'e done with school? contrats on giving up the paci!!! did you ever hear about or do the day out with thomas? we have one in our area the end of may. i can't wait to take my 2 yr old!! we took my 9 yr old when he was 3, now he's like , do i have to go? they grow up so fast.:sad1:
I finish school in 4 weeks. We did a Day Out With Thomas last year - the kids had a ball! DH - errrrr... not so much. :sad2:
We've tried all sorts of bribes, showing photos etc but never a Thomas bribe :idea: :rotfl2:
Perhaps you should try! :lmao:
Wonder who'll guess what apples and pears are????
'splain, Please! :confused3
Another work day here. TOns of meetings scheduled to day (coming up on the end of the fiscal year:sad2: ). Hope you all have a good day. Will check in later:thumbsup2
:wave2:
Ack! I didn't know braces would be this painful for Baylie! She's in horrible pain. :guilty: I bet she doesn't think they are cute now! :sad1:
I must have spent $50 on things to try and make her feel better: a Rx mouthwash, Sensodyne toothpaste, chapstick, special floss for going around brackets, a rinse for if she gets sores in her mouth (the brackets are rubbing already), Aleve... I HATE for her to be in pain. There's really nothing I can do to help her. I've told her to drink hot tea, and put a cold pack on her cheeks. Any other ideas for me, former braces wearers? :confused3
We're going to Grandma's resaurant to show her B's braces and get some free food. Be back later... :goodvibes
:scared: Ok now you're scaring me! I'm supposed to get braces this summer! :scared: My brother got his braces off about a year ago and I remember seeing him in writhing pain. Imagine a 38 y.o man in tears, so I can completely sympathize with Baylie! :guilty:
He got the "beans above the frank"??? :rotfl2:
Where IS CE?
:confused3
I don't remember her saying she was going anywhere....DH was doing a day long flight thingy....
MEL:banana:
Thanks for the sympathy. I've been on-line shopping for her Bday next week to make me feel better. :goodvibes I'm buying bag tags with her name on them in team colors (lime green and teal), a furry lime green blanket, and a monogrammed pillow for her to use a competitions. She has try-outs at the end of the month, so I thought it would be a good try-outs/Bday gift. :cutie:
I am assuming it is the "pressure" of the braces pulling on the teeth that is annoying her the most.
I'll try to get the wax pliable and see if that helps. The brackets were sticking to her inside cheeks, so she's using wax now.
How do you know what the dosage really is then? She's almost 11, but is 5'2" and 125#. So, to me she's like a small adult. I gave her a tylenol at one, and let her take an aleve at 3 (after 8 hours), but she's still crying. She's upset I'm making her go to dance, but the recital's next week.:eek: I feel so bad.
I'm sorry! I don't mean to scare you! :hug:
Jo: You had TWO STUDS! Dirty girl... :laughing:
Alright- We're off to dance. Mean mommy, signing out... :sad2:
Hi everyone
Hope all is well with everyone.THis is a crazy week. Its our anniv friday so we are doing dinner Thurs because fri Happy has hockey game and then Sat we are having Happys b-day party.Whew that was a mouthful:rotfl:
I hope to check in again later.
Who will fill me in on a quick recap????someone please:worship: :worship:
Oh, Jo & Mel, thanks for thinking of me! :goodvibes I've just been really busy.
D got home Sunday night around 9:00 and I think I popped in and posted Monday that he was frantically trying to catch up on what he felt needed to be done in the house. He also ended up going out to get a haircut whilst I took the boys to tennis. We then all met up to go out to eat, but we came home and watched some TV together and he got ready for an early trip.
He had to fly from really early yesterday morning to about 8:00 last night, and in the meantime I had an eyebrow appointment in the morning followed by grocery shopping and then playgroup in the afternoon. I got back right before dinner, then he turned up after the boys went to bed and again we just chatted and caught up on some shows, so no computer.
Today he left around 6:00 and won't be home until Sunday night. I just messed about the house this morning, then the boys had dental checkups this afternoon, followed by a playdate until dinner time.
:faint:
Tomorrow, I've got nothing until t-ball at 6:15 p.m. :banana: Well, my neighbor's DS7 has a filling and if he's feeling too bad to go back to school, I said he could come here whilst she goes to her half-day of work as a kindergarten p.m. aide.
So, I did a lot of skimming, but:
Mo, glad that you're away from Witchy Poo. ;)
Angela, sorry about the TSM fiasco - I was looking forward to hearing about it! But it can't be as frustrating for me as it was for you!
HSM - hoping B is better. I'd just say as many painkillers as she can take. It WILL get better. :hug:
Kat - in-laws are funny things. :rolleyes1 I actually got along better with my MIL before kids, because she was pretty normal. She is now insanely jealous of the kids when we visit (forget seeing friends, etc.) AND she constantly doesn't listen to what I think should be happening - all the while saying what a wonderful mom I am. :confused: :rotfl: She's not awful, though, I have to say. She's just a different person now that she's a grandma, and it's not necessarily better. :confused3 D's dad - her ex - and his wife get upset when they don't "know" the kids as well, but then they never, ever call, never come, etc. :rolleyes: Well...
T2 - have a great anniversary, if we don't see you by then.
T - congrats on a day off school!
V - love the bed! :thumbsup2
Jo - I only see Albert Einstein. :confused:
Hi everyone! I know I'm forgetting things. :grouphug:
