When in May?Right now I am looking at the 1st or 2nd for 8 nights . I havee to do and end of month report and it is hard to leave the last week of any month, so I figured early in the month!! Let me know I smell a MEET!!

We are on the DCL cruise from May 2 to the 9th and then at WDW from the 9th to the 16th.:goodvibes

It's funny now (14 years later) at 2:00am when I got the phone call it wasn't so funny;)

Jimmy is in shorts and a T today:thumbsup2

HOw is your dad TE:goodvibes
Mom just called and he's doing better---doing more chest xrays today. The liver tests are almost normal. Mom said he really likes his nurse--she is a short African American woman and she came to his room yesterday....swung open the isolation door.....and said "Praise the Lord! You're outta isolation! We were all prayin' for you!" :lmao:
THis morning, she woke them up at 7 am (he sleeps till at least 10) and said "even on my off-days, I'm up before dawn---you need to get on up now!" :rotfl:

I think mom wants her to come home with them just to keep him in line! ;)

It's great when the nursing staff is good.:thumbsup2

Ok, so I had to do some major searching but I found it ....WOOHOO!!!! I did pm Miz Diz and have heard back from her...lol!!
Jump in and chat :goodvibes

See, all that hot air kids have is good for something:lmao:
:rotfl2:

Jo- Cinema sweets. LOVE IT! You say the cutest things!
I often try and remember to type what you say but obviously forgot that time :rotfl2:

Jo do they still have pear drops?? I love them and cannot get them over here!!
We do Rosie, my Dad loves them, some shops are going back to the old fashioned way of selling sweets by weight from big jars :thumbsup2 I wish you were coming in August as I'd bring you some!!!!

Glad to be back on this thread (thanks to my backpack), thanks for making me feel welcome.....will try to keep up!!!!
Good luck with keeping up, they're a chatty bunch here :rotfl2:

Cinema sweets?

That is the cutest thing I've ever had fattening sugary candy called!
:rotfl2:

I can't remember a time I didn't sneak food in! LOL. I've seen some crazy stuff tho, like slices of pizza and once I saw someone with a whole italian take out meal! Funny! I got to bring in my dunkin donuts coffee yesterday at the movies...i lucked out the guy was nice and just told me to go in with it!
A whole italian meal :faint: I wouldn't want to sit near them :rotfl2:

Sounds like fun, Jo. Have a great time! Did you mention what movie you're going to see?
We saw Nim's Island, it was pretty good!

Still cannot get her fever below 100. :confused: I've been alternating Tylenol and Motrin for almost 24 hours now. She did eat a bit this morning, but she's very weak. I had to carry her down the stairs this morning. :guilty: The vomiting has stopped, so that's good. Last night she was sweating profusly and I thought for sure the fever had broke, but it hadn't. :sad2:
That doesn't sound good T, I really hope she improves :hug:

My SIL delivered their youngest on the side of a major highway at 6 am. Just her and my brother with 911 on the phone talking them through it.:scared1:

Thank God no complications and the ambulance arrived a short time later and took them to the hospital. Alyssa just turned 7.
My old neighbour gave birth on the roundabout near us :rotfl2: Thing was it was at 6am on a freezing cold November day so they just quickly wrapped the baby up and dashed to hospital without even knowing whether it was a girl or boy :rotfl2:

I still say nothing can beat my SIL having my nephew. She went into the hospital for appendicitis and came out with a 5.5lb baby boy:scared1: And before you ask "how she didn't know"----She was having female problems for years, was never regular, and was told by the Dr. that she'd probably never have kids. So pffffffth to the Drs.:banana:
OMG :rotfl2:

I'm in FULL ON GARAGE SALE mode! Only 4 days till the sale! Kids are not too happy about me getting on them to go through their closets! DH is out planting the veggie garden so he doesn't have to help! LOL :rotfl:
Sounds like you're getting lots of help :rotfl2:

Mom just called and he's doing better---doing more chest xrays today. The liver tests are almost normal. That's brilliant TE and his nurse sounds wonderful!

BTW we call popsicles lollipops :rotfl:

The party has finished and they were all excellent, loud but very good. 1 is still here for a sleepover.

Maddie really wants to see Prince Caspian. What's your opinion, Kat? Good for a 6 yo or no? My Dneph says it's too violent; he also told us to go see Horton, so his credibilty is shot, IMO. :lmao:

Maddie update:

Still cannot get her fever below 100. :confused: I've been alternating Tylenol and Motrin for almost 24 hours now. She did eat a bit this morning, but she's very weak. I had to carry her down the stairs this morning. :guilty: The vomiting has stopped, so that's good. Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

We JUST GOT BACK from seeing "Prince Caspian"... I would think a 6 year old needs to be Level headed and mature to handle the movie.
There is violence.. story line is harder to follow than the first one.
Sarabeth ( she is 9 ) went to see it and she said" Well.. I think a 6 year old would have a hard time handling it.. I had trouble in places."

I think I like the 1st one better. But this one has cool effects and left me wanting the story to continue at the end... where I was happy enough with the ending on the 1st one.

What dosing are you giving Maddie and how often ?? Dosing that the Dr's give and what the "Store Bottles" say are different. It's a whole liability thing.

If she weighs :65-75 lbs.. she can have 3 jr Motrin( 300mg)
54-64 lbs is 2 1/2 Jr Motrin ( 250 mg)

She can also have it as often as every 4 hours.

( I have a chart from our pediatrician with this info)

Well, first off...Jen is the #1 name out there! ;)

And yup!!!! We're going back!!!!!!!

Have fun today!
Love being popular! :lmao:

That is the 2nd time I heard that! Our Admin had the EXACT same thing happen. Your SIL isn't named Kim and lives in MN, is she????;)

T- I too would up the ant on the meds. You can call your ped and verify her dosage, but sounds like she may need a bit more... or might need to go in and get checked.

Jo- I forget everything, not just what I said.:rotfl:

TE- great that he has a super nurse to lift his spirits too!

Welcome Laura! Good luck keeping up. This is a super chatty bunch! I just jump in here and there.

Well--the doctor said he has pneumonia and went into a kind of septic shock but that is all improving now and he should not be contagious anymore. Apparently the sepsis caused his liver to start shutting down (:confused: ) but that has turned around and his liver is fine now. Still confused how he got sick so fast with pneumonia--but the medicine he takes for RA suppresses his immune system (it's like chemo), so he is pretty susceptible to stuff.

Well, I've read later that he's doing even better, and I'm so glad. :goodvibes

Come to think of it that was the last time my father has have ever ridden in a car with me when I am driving...Could it be all the stop signs and red lights I ran:confused3
I'm sure it was scary, but this observation of yours is funny! :lmao:

Oh, and the other cool thing I have to relate is that I am going out tomorrow night for a girls night out! Long Long time since I did that! I am going to a Karaoke night with some of the girls at school (the librarians...lol) that I work with on Mondays! I'll let you know, and maybe post a video or two....ha!

Have fun! I'm off to a Pampered Chef party tonight, which isn't so exciting, but hey, I won't have the kids... :lmao:

So my exciting weekend came to a screeching halt this morning. All of a sudden Maddie starts with a high fever, body aches and vomiting. WTH? She was perfectly fine last night so I'm not sure what's going on. :confused: I spoke with Dbro and he says to just watch her, try to get her to keep Tylenol and Motrin down and keep Evan away from her. :sick:

Oh, I'm so sorry. :hug:

" Scott.. I called the hospital and My water has broke. I have left for the hospital. When you wake up meet me there.

Oh, Kathy... :rotfl:

Well the in laws went well.

So glad! :hug:

Good luck with keeping up, they're a chatty bunch here :rotfl2:
Um, THEY? Hello, pot, this is kettle... :rotfl2: :hug:

I'm glad they had fun!

~~~~~~~~~~~
So, we had t-ball pictures and then a game. Woody caught a very direct line drive, which was very exciting!
It had poured rain all night and the pictures were even very cloudy, but by game time it was 72 and sunny. :thumbsup2
T, D's back to your area today (at an air show) and he says he's having heat stroke. ;)
Anyone want to come watch my kids for a week? Jo, up for a meet in Paris? D has a trip to Paris & Nice, but it's fairly inconvenient for my mom and I don't think I'll get to go. His mom's available for the last 6 days of it, but we can't find a solution for the first part.
It doesn't help that he doesn't really know the dates for sure. :rolleyes:
Got the Pampered Chef party later - sitter's coming in an hour, so I need to get moving. I cleaned house this afternoon. :thumbsup2
Woody's currently in a very, very long time-out in his room. He got up way early, too early even for a school day, and he's just overtired, but though I know WHY he's misbehaving, he still doesn't get to do it. :headache: He is a "pusher" in the sense that even if I say, "Go upstairs right now for 5 minutes or else you'll be up there for 20" he decides to see if I mean it. I do. Grrr. I had hoped he would shut up long enough to take a nap. Often if he ends up upstairs, he hides under the covers and then falls asleep. :thumbsup2 However, he's been yelling at me for at least 15 minutes, so he keeps getting more time and he's not sleeping. But, he's been quiet for about 2 minutes now, so there's hope. We need this break tonight from each other. Sigh.
Anyway, I need to shower, so I'll see you all later or tomorrow, depending on when I get back from the party.
Um, THEY? Hello, pot, this is kettle... :rotfl2: :hug:
Don't know what you mean :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
Jo, up for a meet in Paris?
I just said to David CE wants to meet up in Paris and he said when? :yay: :rotfl2:
But, he's been quiet for about 2 minutes now, so there's hope. We need this break tonight from each other. Sigh.
Sounds like a tough afternoon, Ellie is like that she's so intelligent except when it comes to punishments :sad2:
Anyway, I need to shower.
Sorry but :rotfl2:
BTW, the carnival/fair you were thinking of going to wasn't the one in Calaveras County was it? Apparently a ride there broke and injured everyone on it. :scared1:
Well the in laws went well.
We got up early today tho to go to the first showing of Prince Caspian. It was GREAT!!!!
Glad it wasn't too painful Kat!
Yay!! Ok now I'm excited to see the movie. popcorn:: We'll see. I have free movie tickets, but I have to wait 'til the movie has been out a week. But I will be hitting the theaters for Indy 4! :woohoo:
Glad to be back on this thread (thanks to my backpack), thanks for making me feel welcome.....will try to keep up!!!! :banana:
Good luck with that:rotfl2::rolleyes1
Tell me about it! :lmao:
Man that sucks that your mom can't watch the kids. That would've been a nice getaway. :goodvibes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nothing much going on here. Work totally sucked last night. This is the third weekend in a row that we've been super busy and it's not even a high sick part of the year. :confused3

Anyway, just a quick check in. Gotta get ready for work.

Hey Lessa..............another Canadian here....where abouts are you, guess I am supposed to "check in" with the Official Canadian Liason!!! :wave:

Hey Laura, welcome to TFW! I'm in Kingston, so opposite end of the lake from you. Nice to have some more Canadian representation over here. ;)

She weighs approx. 42 pounds - so I'm dosing her accordingly. I never go by age, as you can see she's kinda small for her age. ;) BUT great news below..:thumbsup2

T- I too would up the ant on the meds. You can call your ped and verify her dosage, but sounds like she may need a bit more... or might need to go in and get checked.
See below. :goodvibes

THANK YOU! Now, where's Mo? :rotfl2:
Psst... it's 105 right NOW!

I'll watch 'em. Send them on a plane to LA, we'll do Disney for a week!;)

I know exactly how you feel. :hug: Evan is the "pusher" as well. Unfortunately, he loses every time,but that doesn't stop him.
Poor Maddie, hope she gets better T. :hug:

Ack, no! I saw that this morning - very scary! :eek:

Another Maddie update... sorry if I'm boring you!:guilty:

The fever finally broke. :yay: Just *poof* it was gone! I would say it lasted for about 30 hours and went away. I'm thankful! I hate to see my babies suffer, like most moms. Thanks for all your advice, Fockers. Love how we're always there for eachother. :grouphug:

:yay: Glad Maddie is doing better, T.

My dad is in town for a week and my DH is out of town for the weekend. #1 son has a lacrosse picnic tomorrow evening, and my dad wants to go walk through old rusty submarines that we've been through 7 times before:confused3 Should be a fun day.;)

Seems to be lots of good news, TE's Dad and Maddie all doing better!:thumbsup2

Kate, do I sense a little sarcasm there;)

So another exciting Saturday night in the puggy household. PoC At World's End is on Starz later, so that will probably be my excitement for the night.

Ok, now stop being so jealous, only lime green looks good on Fockers.:sad2:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Well, Jim got all the yard work today..including getting the rest of the planting done:woohoo: Jimmy helped:rolleyes1 . Afterwards we took a ride to the mall at hit the DIsney Store. This one was in the Deptford Mall and it is S-M-A-L-L. Got the birthday gift we needed for the party next week and Jimmy got to pick out a power ranger for all of his help with the planting. He picked this set that was originally $30..um no. Then I looked closer and it was on clearance for $7.99:woohoo:

That is all I bought though since we are hitting up the Outlet Mall in North Jersey (Cental Jersey Mo:confused: ) so I am hoping to get some good deals there:thumbsup2
