Well the party last night was rubbish, Ellie had a good time so that was great but it was just too loud, yep I'm getting old, to chat with anyone and none of the adults danced so was very boring :sad2:

Sorry you didn't have fun, but glad Ellie did!

Today is the last chance to apply for the Moms Panel www.disneyworldmoms.com/2010 by applying you become a Mickey Moms Club member and occasionally get sent gifts or are sent invites to special meets etc so it's worth it for that. Oh and you don't have to be a Mom to apply :thumbsup2

BUt you put me at the top of the list, right:rolleyes1

We were able to send people links to order directly from the website last year. Then it just shipped directly to their house. It made it very easy for out of town relatives who wanted to help :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip! I will find out more at thebig kickoff meeting next week!

We do not have any scouts this year. :sad2:

I'm really happy that Jimmy seems to be getting into it. With the issues he has and not really liking large groups, we were concerned that this was going to be a disaster!

Morning ladies... :goodvibes

:wave2: I didn't forget that I owe you a phone call, but things got crazy here the last couple of days!

Today is so busy! We have church, then I'm going to the store to get stuff to make dinner for my friend's family. We have to clean the house a bit, pack and B's got youth group tonight. Tomorrow night B has dance and Tuesday we leave for San Antonio about lunchtime!
We fly out soooo early Wednesday, that we're going to stay at K's mom's. Also, his sister's bday was Thursday so we're all going to dinner. :

Just a quick check in then we are off to soccer! AFterwards Jim is going to drop me off to do the grocery shopping, then pick me up when I am done! After that we don't have much planned.

Tomorrow is the the big Candy Sale kick off at school. Then on Tuesday we have an IEP Meeting for him. Apparently they give standardized tests in 1st grade:confused3 Anyway, becasue of his ADHD diagnosis, Jimmy is entitled to special testing accomadations (quiet place, longer time) but in order for him to get it, there is a TON of paperwork to fill out...gotta love the government:rolleyes:)). Anyway, I will be going to this one by myseld, so Jim and I need to write down questions, etc at some point today for that. I am sure I will be checking in periodically.

HAve a great Sunday everyone!:goodvibes

I already applied. Can you put our names at the top of the list?
If I had any say I definitely would afraid I have no input at all, good luck though :thumbsup2

Will the kids be missing school?

Anywho, I decided to apply for the Mom's panel, not sure about my answers, but they were honest and who I am. I think a single person's perspective is needed;)
They could and good luck :thumbsup2

BUt you put me at the top of the list, right:rolleyes1
Of course ;) See reply to Deb! And good luck with the Jimmy stuff!

Dave and Jess have gone off to golf and I'm cooking the roast. The girls are going to a youth group tonight but as it's at 6pm we need to eat quite early! The men are coming to start my deck tomorrow, so much for doing it whilst I was away so I didn't see the mess :rotfl2:

BTW I can't get TSM on the Wii to have more than 1 player, any advise?

Today, Jo is "bagsying"

Is she:

a. looking for the perfect bag for her upcoming trip
b. trying to relieve the chuffing caused by excessive trampolining
c. confused

Place yer bets!

;)

Dawn - plan looks good, so are you seing Mel;) If I don't fit in her suitcase, can I try and fit in yours?
I only have a carry on- so you'd better hope you fit in hers. Plus, I hear she's bringing a bag just for booze. Maybe you could ride in there? :lmao:

Don't worry about the phone call. I've been keeping busy.

How's Jimmy liking soccer?
Aiden had his first game yesterday and I'm REALLY happy with it. He had said baseball was boring for him except when he was batting, so I thought trying soccer might be a more active choice. It seems to be just perfect. He was running around like crazy and cheering for his team. Adorable... :lovestruc

Will the kids be missing school?
No, they are staying with my mom who lives a few minutes from me.
Today I'm typing up all the schedules and stuff for her. :surfweb:

I think bagsying is the act of applying bag balm on her sore spots from trampolining too much.
:rolleyes1

LOVES it! I think it's a bit too long for 6 year olds. He seems to tire out with about 15 minutes or so left. Maybe becasye it's still kind of hot:confused3

=================

Back from siccer and grocery shopping. Goy our butts kicked by Jimmy playing DIsney Scene It and now everyone is kind of chilling out.

WOO HOO 2 and 0! We finally beat the Pats at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Evening All. :goodvibes

I'm in a pissy mood today :furious:, but thought I'd stop in to check out what's new.

I took the kids to my niece's soccer game whilst Andy stayed home, and played on the computer and drank beer. And then I came home to a messy kitchen. Wonder why I'm pissy?

Dawn & Mel: Your adults only trip sounds fantastic! I can't wait for one of those! :thumbsup2

Jo: WHat kind of decking are you having put in? Oh and your trip is just around the corner. I forget are you traveling solo again?

Janet - :lmao: at white trash porch hopping!

Hi, everyone!

I read, but didn't quote. Sorry!

We wound up trying the boat again today. We didn't get up there until just after noon, but it was a nice day. There was NO water stuff, so we just wandered around a couple of towns and cruised. :goodvibes

But, I do finally have the family cold, so I felt like total crud all day and all I want to do is sleep. Not that I didn't behave stupidly on Friday night, but I wonder if part of my lethargy yesterday was the beginning of getting sick? ;) :rotfl:

D is leaving early in the morning and so he's packing. I don't have much tomorrow except team tennis. I hope I'm up for it.

Sounds like everyone had a nice day (except maybe for T, sorry, hon ) - hope you've had a good night, too!

Oh, Jo, euchre is a card game that seems to be pretty much a midwestern US thing - no one here knows it, but I grew up playing it. ;)

Mel: I hope you feel better for the trip!

T: I now crave Tacos

Janet: So good to have you posting again!!! Love your pictures, I'm sorry you had a crappy vacation and I missed you. I like your plans for AKL. I saw the video link of the new FL expansion and was telling Yani we so need to go then and plan a nice looooong fancy vacation to WDW too.

Hi to everyone else I missed!!!!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Sorry haven't kept up again....busy week.

But Here's what's happened this week. (Very Long feel free to skip)

We have some 3 stray cats in our neighborhood that we feed. 2 are female and they both had kittens at the same time.

Well for the past month we had been taking care of 1 set of the litters. I had Tuesday off and we decided we needed to trap and spay the moms. So we did and took them to the vet to spay (she charges less for spay & release and I don't like the Humane Society because they aren't very Humane. We took one of our cats there and they did a crap job on her).

Anyway, whilst at the vet we asked one of the techs if they knew somewhere we could take the kittens because we were not keeping them. We had called around everywhere, including the few no kill shelters here in Miami. We even called the next County's Humane Society and got the same answer by everyone "we're at capacity and not accepting any animals". :headache: So the vet tech gave us this petsore in Ft Lauderdale that sometimes accepts kittens. So I called the place and they said as long as the kittens were healthy there was no problem. :woohoo:

I was soooo relieved. So I went home, bathed the 5 kittens as quick as possible to make sure they didn't have fleas and to make them presentable. Put them all in the carrier and made the trip to the petstore. I felt bad, but I was happy they would have a possibility of being adopted by a family and not get euthanized.

So that night we found the other litter of 6 kittens. Great....:headache:
Took them in, cleaned them up and fed them (since we took their mom to get spayed too). So I've been playing mommy to kittens for the past week. Wow, how tiring! No wonder I don't have kids yet. :upsidedow I've had to bottle feed them and everything.

Anyway, Saturday I woke up and fed them and went back to sleep. My mom woke me up about 2 hours later and said one of the kittens was dying. :sad1: I went to the bathroom, where they were being kept and sure enough one was sprawled out on the floor, but still alive just not moving. I picked him up to check him out, he wouldn't stand and would only kick his back feet and his head was wobbly. It looked like his neck had broken. I have no idea how? Maybe he jumped on the toilet and tried jumping and missed and broke his neck. So I grabbed the carrier and took him to a vet clinic nearby. I had them check him out. They said it would be a lot of money to help him (surgery, specialist vets, etc). So unfortunately since I was not keeping him I asked them to put him down. :littleangel::sad1::guilty: Very sad.

So then later that day 2 other kittens looked like they wouldn't make it. They were lethargic and disoriented. I was at a loss to what to do. Went to the PetStore and picked up some kitten vitamin stuff and had to force feed it to them, but nothing. I kept checking up on them and Finally they were more alert and I gave them some kitten milk I had bought and they ate. I was so relieved! I am glad to report they're all fine now. :goodvibes

So that's been my week.
I am so ready for the trip! I can't wait!!! :dance3:

Z - You are such a good person taking care of those strays and their kittens. :goodvibes So many people would simply ignore them.

Hi Everyone I just got back from Disney !!! Had a great time , was super hot!! I am TIRED so will be filling you in tomorrow !!! No time to catch up tonite !!
