Most of the stores have had school supplies on a BOGO so it's makes donating so much easier. We're also going shopping at Tupperware's headquarters with the profits also going to a GIFT. I love shopping for a good cause.

Hiya!

I got the last of the laundry done last night, and so the clothes are all packed. I need to shower up to get my brush, comb, etc. in the bags, and then little stupid stuff like making sure my meds are in my purse, as I always take them at bedtime, but we'll be in the car, so packing them in a suitcase would be foolish... The boys have packed up the movies they want for the ride, and also their own backpacks with toys and books for the stay - my MIL has some stuff, but you know how that goes...

We took the dog to the kennel already - I'm paying for today, might as well get use out of it... They have a webcam, so I can look in on him whenever...

I need to get the light timers set and load up the car, but we're not going to leave home until about 5:30, drive through somewhere, and hope to get D by 7:00 (he lands at 6:30, but will have to deal with baggage and customs...) and away we go.

I should get off the computer for now and do those things. It's a totally cloudy, rainy day and I tried to sleep in - normally, it would be no issue, but I got my mind racing and couldn't fall back asleep. So, I am hopeful for a nap in the mid-afternoon, so that I can drive tonight!

D's on the plane and so far no delays, so that's good. Jo, he had to stopover in Heathrow - it made me miss you!

I was on the computer earlier and the power went out so I call the utility company. I'm pressing the proper button according to the automated man and then he asks if I have reset my breaker. So since I hadn't, I had to hang up, reset it, and call back. Of course I got the breaker off and couldn't get it back on. All the while Mitch is telling me he's staying at work if we have no power. Luckily it was out for only 30 minutes but heading into active hurricane season, I'm in trouble if we have a major outage.

Oh no! Power outages freak me out!

I talked with the director and she said Fall wasn't too full so he most likely will be in. I noticed today while I was out there that I can take him out of class and have lunch with him there in the commons if I wanted to. I have been a SAHM with him his entire life so while he's OK with me being gone for a few hours, the whole 7:30-4:30 thing is not working for him. I hope he gets over this come next year for all day Kindy and when I start work.

Ah, poor little guy. I know how you feel, but you're doing the right thing - securing sound employment skills to provide for your kids. He'll thank you for it later.

Day 3:
The guys are going to finish removing the grout, because we decided to keep the tile. It's really beautiful Italian tile and it's in great condition. Poor guy broke 2 diamond blades trying to remove it without damaging the tiles. We've also got the wall guys here to remove the paper and patch all the drywall. I'm assuming the framer is coming as well to take care of the crap wood?

The dust situation is INSANE! It looks like someone came in with a bag of flour and just spread it all over our first floor! I'm waiting until Friday and then I'll give the house a good hoovering and dusting. Blech! Good thing we've got our inhalers!

We have our meeting scheduled to meet with fairy tale weddings on sep. 4th while were there for the half marathon. Im very excited and now my mom is finally all giddy and excited so its pretty cute.

Well i g2g finish a lap report that i have due in about 2 hours. I swear this summer school will be the death of me.

We are in so much trouble. Today is our co-op students last day before he moves back to New Mexico so we went out for lunch. Not a big deal as we usually go out once a week. But today it took a freakin hour and a half We went to Applebees and the service was soooooo slooooooow. What is sad is that the shop floor was on lunch break when we left and on their afternoon smoke break when we returned. SO they all knew how long we had been gone. I am sure we will be reported

Yep, my Monday was a complete waste! I had vertigo for the first time in my life accompanied by nausea. I think it was withdrawl from the meds I took for the migraine last week.

Tuesday I visited with my aunt in the old stomping grounds. We had salads at Arni's and chatted about my brother and other things. She is a teacher's aide and is also getting ready for school.

Wednesday I got Doug's grill and hid it at his mom's, visited with Rockie's mom and then saw a movie. Doug and I went to see GI Joe. I actually liked it. It was just us and 8 other middle-aged adults.

I got absolutely nothing done in the yard or on the house. It is in some serious need of cleaning. It'll have to wait until Sunday now.

I really need to get caught up on the TRs over here.

Hi everyone! Had a nice day, KC picked me up at work and we ate cupcakes in this little cute spot with a waterfall and then had some wings for dinner at Hooters. Now I have to get ready for my day out with my friends tomorrow and then my weekend of work shifts and laundry and grocery shopping.

They turned off our water again without notice and then when it did come back on the pressure sucked so that was one depressing shower i just took! I changed my availability at work, apparently giving them open availability and asking for specific days in the month off is not ok. I will now have Thurs and Fri's off , so KC and I have the same days off.

Good Evening Fockers!

Thanks everyone for the virtual hugs. The ex called this evening to talk with the kids. Surprise, surprise. He then e-mailed me and said that that was his new phone number and to have the case worker call him using that. Sorry dude, I am not your secretary, you call the lady and face the music. Besides, I don't think the number is his anyways. It popped up on my caller ID as someone else and was a CA number. He must take me for the moron.

Didn't do too much today. The kids and I went to the park and had a picnic lunch. Came home and fixed dinner and then watched the Steelers play their first pre-season game. Can't believe football is on already!

The daycare at my school called and said DR is in. YAY! He's excited to go and start some place new come fall. He's not getting why he has to finish out the rest of the time at his current place though. I have a few more weeks before my summer quarter is over, then a few weeks off before fall starts, he's just not getting it and I'm sure I'll still have a few more bad days before it's all said and done though. We'll make it through though.

That's about it for me. I'm heading to sit my butt on the couch and watch Real Housewives of Atlanta and catch up on Tori & Dean DVR'd shows. Hope everyone had a good day and night all!

Just catching up on here. Not much going on today. Gotta get the kids laundry done. We have a friend's baby shower to go to tomorrow and then the kids are spending the night at the sitter's house. Clean PJ's and clothes would be nice to send for them.

I talked with my sitter on the phone last night and was telling her how my dad is moving to FL. I woke up this morning to look on FB and she and her husband are now wanting to move to FL. Noooooooo! She's a second mom to me and a grandmother to my kids. If they do move we really will have a lot of good reasons to come to FL more often. I doubt they will though.

The daycare at my school called and said DR is in. YAY!

Not much going on here. Still busy, busy at work. Not much planned for the weekend either - just cleaning, sleeping and catching up on TRs

Oh wait. I was going to complain about something. DH just told me he invited his brother to Disney for next fall. I love his brother and we hardly get to see him (he lives in VA). But we already have 9 people in 2 rooms at POR. Then I was still hoping to get a 2br at BLT by renting points for a few nights. I think 10 people (5 adults and 5 kids) at POR is too many so looks like we will have to get a 3rd room. And now I dont know what to do about the BLT situation. We are going to have to discuss this tonight.

Hey, everyone!

We made it. D's plane was a little late, and so by the time he got out of the airport, it was 7:45. I drove until about midnight, then he drove for about an hour and a half, but then crashed. I drove until 4:30, then he took over again - I slept in the third row of the van for about 3 hours. Then we stopped at Cracker Barrel for a leisurely breakfast and we got into my MIL's about 11:30 Central time. Not bad, driving time wise, but I am WIPED.

I had totally planned on waiting for MIL to get back (she had a funeral this morning, which is too bad) and then napping and showering, in that order. But, I was barely here before our nephew called to see if he and his sister could drop in (they are both teenagers, he's heading off to college Wed. and will miss the wedding. She's 16.)

Anyway... I need to grab some down time whilst I can. Talk to you later!
