The boys went bug hunting on Saturday. My oldest wants to be an entomologist and drags his brothers along to help. B came home with a pet cricket. He named him Bob. He's in a container in my kitchen and B feeds him grass and lettuce. Think it's time I get my kids a real pet?

I did order a new phone, Blackberry. I have nails so I can't use a touch screen. Seems like a huge customer base they are missing out on, but whatever.

So the rain stopped so we went on a 5 mile walk, yep we are mad, anyway good job we took the brolly as it poured Tomorrow is lady captains day, it's a free golf competition, she pays for the prizes, food etc so hopefully it'll stay dry

Every thing is okay right now ! No more drama from SIL athough I heard the people involved were filing a report today !!Soo he may be going on a state paid vacation

I've been reading along, but haven't had time to quote! Sorry!

We're down to the wire and I"ve got a ton of stuff to do. The kitchen is about 70% packed up and I'm about 90% packed for WDW.

I had my ortho appt. today - yeah, that was fun. I have a defect in my gum and my ortho wants me to see and oral/maxillofacial surgeon for a consult. Fantastic. Getting ready to take TE to her Orthopedic surgeon appt. - not sure if she's going to get another round of shots or what.

I'm working on updating my trip report, but my pics are uploading to photobucket. I'm going to try again or else switch over to flickr or snapfish. Stupid photobucket. Grrrr!

Yikes, we had our 3rd interview today for the engineering manager. The first guy was great but technically challenged - he managed people which is great but we also need someone who can advise us as needed. The second guy was extremely smart but had no people skills (the receptionist had to remove all the dog hair from his coat before she would let him talk to the GM and he was dressed like Chris Farley as the motivational speaker, tie and all), the guy today seemed to have a good balance between being smart and also someone we could introduce to our customers. I think he may get it.

I ran the numbers all day yesterday and ultimately decided against a trip in September. I really, really want to go but with DH changing jobs and me possibly changing my hours everything just seems too up-in-the-air to plan another trip. I am doing the (gulp) responsible thing.

Evening all. Home from work. Jim is cooking so I thought I'd check in here. TOnight I'm going to do some trip stuff. On the to do list...

Iron on the awesome design Tracy made for Jimmy's shirt.
Double check amounts in the mousekeeping envelopes and seal them.
Fill Jimmy's Penny Press container.
Pack Jimmy's backpack for the plane.

I do have to make one more store run (Wally World or Target) to pick up a couple of new DVD's for Jimmy to watch on the plane.

Hello from one tired Focker.

My brain is still on vacation. My body , however, had to work today. Luckily we got everything doen and I got let go about an hour and a half early! So now I have been cooking my meals for the next 3 days, just so it's done. That and so I don't nap and get a better nights sleep tonight.

I work tomorrow, have a call-in on wed and work thurs. Not too bad. I am looking fwd to thurs because KC is going to pick me up after my shift and we are going to have a picnic is central park. IF the weather holds out.

I updated mt TR last night FYI.

Off to finish up the cooking and try not fall asleep om the couch.

I checked out Treasure Kingdom on-line the other day. Lots of good Disney stuff. I picked out a few things that I'd like to get. Some of it for Rockie's b-day. The total was over $100. I guess I need to work some more OT. I'll get a few more chances before the trip.

So, my first trip to FL was in mid-October while I was about 4 months pregnant with SD. We visited a sweet little baby clothes shop in Winter Garden (hoity toity little art town, cute though) and the lady at the shop said that the lightning in FL would "Kill you on your doorstep." We nodded sagely and took* the advice. *Laughed all the way back to Disney in our rental car at her DOUR face and serious tone...*
Imagine my surprise last year when visiting my IL's in Zephyrhills upon hearing on the news that a man was "Killed on his doorstep" by lightning. --mentally apologizing for mocking saleslady------

Nothing going on at all. That's part of the issue, I think. I'm in a rut. I am going back to the gym though in the hopes that I'll bust out of my funk. Summer is slow for us anyway.

NotBob is home and not travelling for the time being. The In-laws come to visit on Aug 10th or so. NotBob is taking the week of the 17th off work!!! Yay, so I don't have to entertain the IL's alone.

Wish I had more to say but I don't. I've missed you all and I'll make sure I pop in daily even if I don't have much to say! LOL

Sorry I've been MIA. The kids got home safe and sound and we have been so busy with school, daycare and just getting back into a routine. I really can't wait for school to start and get back to dinner, baths, books and bed time at 9.

But, I'm going to try to make it a priority to not fall so far behind and get here at least once a day. I've fallen behind on a lot of my boards and even Facebook.

I see a lot of you are getting ready to head out on trips in the next few weeks to months. I'll admit...I'm jealous. The extended Free Dining is soooooooooo tempting but the more I think about it I'll stick with my current plan and wait until next year. It won't be until Dec 2010, though. I'm OK with it only because of they way our visitation schedule is this year. The ex has them at Thanksgiving and the beginning of Christmas and that would be a lot of traveling for the kids within a few weeks. (I would want to go the first week in December). Next year they wouldn't have to travel as much because we switch it. Plus it'll be a graduation present to myself.

Well, that's about it in my little world. Linds took a nap after dinner and she's still up so I'm going to watch a little TV with her and then send her off to bed.

Yep. MNSSHP Friday night, Race and party Saturday night, Epcot Sunday then either DTD or chill at AKL Monday before heading home just after lunch!
