My cousin is coming up from Maryland; her DH's niece is graduating from college near us. They're just staying Friday and Saturday, but I'm most excited because she's the one who had her baby the day after we left from Thanksgiving, and I've not met the baby yet.

Alek came over in the morning and we hooked the camera up to the tv and showed Erich and Alek all of our vacation photos. The count right now is at 3929, those are just my pictures. I haven't touched mom's camera yet and the photopass pictures are still being worked on.

UP was awesome! I don't want to spoil it for those who are still going to see it so i will just say this. There were minutes with no dialogue but with the genius that is Pixar, you didn't even need the dialogue. The facial expressions and music could tell the story better than any words!

We don't get it till about October, can't wait to see it!

Ok... I'm totally just testing my internet connection on my DSi. Cool that I can Dis anywhere w/ wifi. Wonder if I can do some trip reporting....hmmmmm.

A little preview to my TR, we got to see Up in 3-D right at 12:01am on Friday. The first "general" audience to see the movie. As a special treat we had Dave Mullins one of the directing animators for the movie onboard and he introduced the movie that night and also surprised us with a special video intro from all the Pixar animators to our cruise audience. I have always wondered why people clap at the end of a move when in a movie theatre, the people involved in the movie cannot hear your approval. Anyways I was more than happy to give the movie a standing ovation that night when I knew that Dave was in the audience and could hear our praise.

What Dawn said, people drop in and out all the time but there are generally at least 10 of us chatting most days. We've had quite a few meets with the big one last August where we all went to Biergarten for a meal. TR links are in some of our siggies. We also tease each other a lot, I get a lot of teasing as certain people around here don't believe I'm British

We're back from Texas. It was a good trip, but I am SO glad to be home.

Cleaned the housee yesterday and worked out, went grocery shopping... and threw out a termite-infested arm chair. Who knows how long they were in there; I noticed a bunch of wings scattered on one arm of it and looked under cushions - yep, the adults were crawling around minus their wings. Which means babies were imminent, so we got it the heck out of my house! 11pm my mother and I rolled the giant chair end over end down the stairs and across the courtyard and road to the nearest dumpster. I can only imagine how it looked.

Went and bought Ellie's Secondary school uniform today, she doesn't start till September but this week they're giving 10% off and when the bil comes to over $160 10% is good I then bought a cute top and cardigan with the voucher my sister gave me, remember ages ago well it ran out this week so I HAD to spend it. I then bought some shorts and capris and when I tried them on at home David didn't like them as they ummm went up my bum I then just answered some questions, I had a really lovely note from a lady saying the reply tp her question was great and a very clever idea Ells has been in the pool again ummm I've finally caught up on camp laundry, ummm exciting day Playing golf tomorrow though!

We're back from Texas. It was a good trip, but I am SO glad to be home.

We have a crazy busy day. B has an extended ortho appointment at lunch time. Then we have to go back to SA for dance. We won't be home until late since class isn't over until 8. We'll be beat tomorrow!

Back at work and school today for everyone. Today is Jim's playoff game, so his dad is going to be picking up Jimmy from after school care for us so I don't have to use vacay time. Leo's last day of school tomorrow, and no one can tell me if after school care will be available, since school ends 2 hours earlier than usual. Unbelievable. I'm taking half the day off to pick him up and celebrate.

I started a new tennis lesson on Mondays with my friend and a couple of other girls - for singles. I told D that, and he thought I meant like "singles night" or something - most confused. I said that I wasn't ready to go meet anyone new just yet - I just always play doubles, so this would be good.

We had a lot of fun, then I had a hair trim (nothing too major - I'm going to let it longer again for a bit - I need ponytails in the summer, I just do, but she evened up the layers and trimmed my bangs.) And then I went to the grocery store.

I played some Wii for the first time in a while, and I've been watching tennis for a while now. The bus just got in. D had his pilot meeting today, and he's still down at the office.

Sorry you are having so much back pain Kat. I know how immobilizing it can be as I injured my back a few years ago, it was just some pulled muscles but I could barely move so I can only imagine what you are going through. The govt is stupid for claiming that you are not disabled!

I think I've finally figured out this whole weight loss thing. Moderate exercise and staying away from anything that looks like cake , though I do love cake... in all forms, but preferable in cup form. I'm down 3.5 pounds this week.

CE - How's your dad doing? Have they started his chemo? Sending him lots of good thoughts!

Kat - I'm sorry to hear about your back pain. What about therapy? Why haven't they sent you to therapy if they say you're not disabled? You'd think they'd at least try to rehabilitate you? That's nuts. Feel better, hon.

I had an easy day - went to the gym, the grocery and Target, did some shopping online (Justice has 25% off the entire site through tonight!), then I picked up Mads from school. We're vegging out for a few hours until I have to start dinner. Chicken tacos al carbon!

Hi, T! He started just today. He called on the way home and so far felt fine - in fact, he was driving through McD's... But they said he could start to feel bad as early as tonight, and he goes again for the second round tomorrow.

Still no word from the PET scan last week, but they are going ahead with this plan for now - if they need to change it based on that, they will, but it wouldn't be any LESS treatments, so...

We're vegging out for a few hours until I have to start dinner. Chicken tacos al carbon!

Ooh, yum. We had ground turkey tacos, which were good - but yours sound better.

Had a very busy day:- First took both girls to the Skin Doctor !!!! Those Teenage pimplesDeath is preferable to them !! Remember those days !!!! Then it was Off for end of the month FUN !!, but not before a calll that one of the consumers was running away from Day Program !! I felt like saying and you want me to do what!!!Stop her you fools !!!!!!Then after that drama was sorted out I head home to start supper and chat a little then OFF again to the Dentist for the first check og the new RETAINER!! Man that was quick I didn't even have time for my free coffee !!....Then let's Zoom to the PO to mail coupons to my Buddy!! Next drop off the scripts to avoid early death of TEENS!!
Home for supper and then OFF again to pick up meds and go to the bank!! Then as Judy had her final appointment prior to her surgery and had a list I went looking !!! Now Whey Protein has never been on my list before , but super sleuth that I am I found it and in 6 flavors No less!!And now I am babysitting !! Oh Did I mention Mondays are my Day OFF

We don't have insurance. KCs job is a small run company and the price they charge is NOT worth it. I had gone to therapy and it was great but when the insurance ended that was that. Its one of the main reason sI want the disability.

CE burnt her thighs. She is doing a singles tennis match on Mondays. D thought she was going cougaring or something. She likes her own boat jokes - a lot! Her dad had his 1st chemo. treatment Monday. Prayers for your dad! I'm so thankful that Doug can use the pill form.

CEL BEL has trouble ID-ing her rodents, especially with blurry pics. She didn’t want to put spaghetti sauce on her cereal so she had to go to the store. Ah, college life - those were the days.

ROSIE has been busy with sex……………………………….........................................ed. and the end of the month junk. Plus Monday is her day off. You couldn’t tell it though.

KAT is still down in the back., a little. She is seeing an old friend today in NYC. Then she and KC are going to see ‘UP’. Have a good time. Be careful with your back.

T is DISing on the DSI. She’s been shopping on-line. You did good! You made tacos al carbon! I worked in a restaurant that had them. They put homemade tortillas filled with meat in a napkin that was folded into two pockets. They served it with bean soup, lettuce, tomato, cilantro and cheese. I don't know how close to the real thing they were but they were awesome!

SLATE has sock issues. She also looks like she has flip-flops on when she doesn’t. I think your Christmas pair would have been too cute!!!

V ordered her Keen sandals. She and her mom rolled a termite infested chair to the dumpster. Leo’s last day of school is Tuesday.

JO went clothes shopping. She bought a pair of pants with a built in wedgy. I am not talkin' golf. She has got someone thinking she is clever on the Mom’s panel. Golf Tuesday. I hope you get a hole in one! with or with out your wedgy!

I was able to mow the 2 acres that is what I call my yard today. There are actually 4 acres. Dough does the other 2 acres. I knew it was going to rain the next 2 days. It would be out of control by this next weekend when I'm off again. We had one heck of a storm starting at 5:30ish yesterday. My power went out for an hour. It got windy and dark. I hate that. We did have some tornado warnings.

I am so mad at Doug! We got our credit card statement yesterday. I usually just put them in on the desk. I took a look at it and saw 2 weird charges for $12 each. I haven't checked the statement from last month yet. (I've been a little busy.) Sure enough the charges are on that one also.

I ask him about it. I get

I sign on to the CC company and see that we are being billed this month too. I sent them a note about them and wanted to know a number to call because I'm thinking someone is using our account.

Then from Doug. "Oh it looks like when I bought some cd's from this place." He said he has been getting e-mail from both of the places listed on the credit card. Of course the e-mails have been deleted.

I look at the website he used for the cds and see that little icon ad at the bottom that says something about claiming $10 off your order right now. I ask Doug, "Did you by any chance claim the $10 off that pops up after you place the order?" Yep! He signed up for one of those discount sites that lets you try it free for a few days and then automatically starts billing your credit card. He didn't read the fine print, which isn't fine at all.

I was HOT! At him and myself for not checking the statement for last month. I swear it is like I live with a 15 year old at times. He pulls this carp all the time. 1,2,3,4..........it didn't help.

I was so mad I canceled our Wisconsin trip. I told him he already spent the $100 I had put aside for it. Well close enough. Then I told him not to buy anything else unless he asked me first. Yeah, I actually said that. Jeez, I'm pathetic when I'm in an uproar.

I know I overreacted. Now I'm mad at myself again. I'll have to apologize this morning. At least it wasn't some stranger that was ripping us off - Just a dang advertising scheme/scam. I guess he'll read the fine print from now on.

I'm spent from the vent.
