Mr Diz works in ATL and we live in the burbs, up 400. I used to work in Duluth, which that area is now called Johns Creek.

Takes us about 45 min to get to 6 flags. Last year his company did a family day at 6 flags and we upgraded our ticket to a 6 day pass. ds wants to go again b/c he loves the rollercoasters, but I'm not wanting to this summer.

KAT and KC ended up at a Spanish place to eat before the movie on Fri. She said ‘Angels and Demons’ was good but not like the book. Lots of gaming going on at their place. They went for a walk and snapped some photos, post #268, above.

JANET had a clothes swap with a friend for Jimmy. Then they went to the Disney Store. Jim got to do the yard. POOR JIM! She was having a little trouble in the electronics/appliance area. DEB is going to see Star Trek. What did you think? I liked it. It had great visual effects. Great acting. But lacked a good story IMO. However I am not a trekkie. my DH is and he said he didn't like it at all.

I will be at the hospital on Tue and Wed. Rockie's mom has to have her leg removed due to complications from diabetes. Doug's mom is having some blockage removed from an artery in her neck. I'll get back here when I can.

It's Monday! I never thought I'd be so excited for a Monday, but I am excited about today. I'm hoping to get some real info on closing on both of the houses today.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the closing.

This has been a very busy weekend. Friday I left work early to go to the dr because I thought I had strep again. I tested negative but he said I did have a sinus infection so he gave me a shot and a script. Friday night all the big kids leave to go to their other home and we had Tau's preschool show. He did great! We then ate Italian. Just kidding we ate at Olive Garden .

Saturday I do some laundry (story of my life) and headed to the tball game. We played one inning and then it starts pouring so they called the game off. Return home, more laundry then went to see Star Trek with some friends while my brother watched Tau. After the movies we picked up the baby (yes I know he's almost three), changed the kids sheets, more laundry, and headed over to my MIL's house to visit with DH's aunt who is down for a visit from VA. Grocery shopping then back home for more laundry.

Sunday we had church then took my mom out for lunch for a belated Mother's day gift. Back home to change then headed out for Omicron's Cubscout graduation. I know this sounds bad but I am so glad this is over. He said he doesn't want to do it next year. I guess I am just more of a sport mom than a scout mom

Even with the shot and the meds I started feeling bad again last night so I took some Benedryll. It kept me up until 1 and now I am just exhausted. My manager is giving me a hard time about my vacation days because he didn't realize it was when he is out too. I have only been talking about this for 6 months now. Even sent him an email. But he said he wanted a meeting request to be sent from outlook so the email didn't count.

Then he realized the HR manager made a mistake on my vacation days and I only have 6.5 not 8 like she told me. He left to talk to her and when he returned he very smugly told me I only have 6.5. He is right but I just couldn't stand the way he was gloating about it.

It's not the dreaded flu, I don't imagine; he's running between 99 and 100 and is doing plenty of playing in between rests on the couch. Unfortunately, my glands are beginning to ache and head is throbbing. A little pixie dust sent our way wouldn't be amiss and would be much appreciated!

The kitchen, at the moment it has something called Flotex which is a cross between a floor tile and a carpet, it looks terrible but is very soft underfoot. Our kitchen is quite big 7.5m long by 2.5m wide so we don't want really cold tiles but have no idea what we do want Also don't know what colur either

The weather was beautiful both Sat. and Sun. Of course I had to work which means I slept through most of it. It is supposed to be decent for the rest of the week.

The computers here at work were up and running Sunday morning. Tonight was crazy busy. Plus a co-worker, without notice, wanted me to give her some training. I should have said no. She stayed over with out pay which is ridiculous. She didn't realize how involed the training was. I think she regretted it when she didn't get out of here until 8:30PM. Maybe next time she'll think about it.

I'll have to mow when I get up today. Yep, that's all I can come up with right now.

Nothing much going on today. I stayed home to wait for a package. it came about 2 hours ago. LOL. It's 3 pairs of jeans I ordered online. I have yet to try them on tho.

Apparently a leak of the Sims 3 happened so I have been on the prowl downloading it all day, and staring at the dl time until it's done (6 hours left, for the moment). Then I plan to play it like a maniac!

I just called and made my friends ADR's I got the slowest ever CM but she found the reserveration and got everything including CRT, I think it was so slow because they're using the online system, the call took about 50 minutes plus 10 waiting. I had to end the call with 2 ADR's to go as my hour was up, I'll call another day can't face it again

It's SO chilly here. It's only 49, and damp with it, so it's just that kind of yucky chill. Thankfully, we're supposed to be nice to downright hot the rest of the week. 88 on Thursday!

Carpy weather here too, and now they are saying Hurricane Anna could be heading up this way for the weekend

Gotcha. We seriously have looked into the cork flooring. It's cushy and environmentally friendly, and, well, cool! I think when we do the floor (it was the one old thing we left in the kitchen, as it was pretty new) we'll do that.

My mom is trying to convince me to go with them next weekend to reno for team weekend. The paintball team that is. Everyone is like family and theyre are going to one womans house and sunday they will be spending the day at the tattoo parlor getting ink. About 6 of them so far are. My dad is getting one in memory of my Papa who passed away in feb. I want one on my back, but it will be expensive, so i havent gotten around to it. My mom is offering to pay Since i helped them out last weekend and she wants to thank me. I told her she doesnt have to but i might take her up on the offer. im not sure yet.

Kinda slow around here. The update is in quotes.

Linds is home from school today. She has a temp of 101, has a sore throat, stuffy nose and a really dry, almost croupy/seal like, cough. She'll be missing out on her Dairy Queen field trip, as will I since I was volunteering, but we'll end up going tonight. I see no spots on her tonsils so I don't think it's strep, just a cold. I just gave her some cold meds so 10 to 1 she'll be passed out here shortly. Tomorrow they go to the zoo and she so wants to go on that field trip. I hope she's better for that one.

DR is still passed out from last night and I hope he won't get what she has. Heck, I hope I don't get it.

So, that's my day today. Maybe I'll get my brother to watch the kids this afternoon so I can run out to school and take this test I need to take along with getting registered for classes. He might be going golfing though so I don't know? I guess just thinking out loud on that one.

The buyers' realtor said Tuesday, maybe Monday for closing, so I'm hoping for tomorrow. K's in Austin working, so he can't just snap his fingers and be here. It's a good 2 hour drive.

So, since my realtor for the sale of my house is out of town, I am hoping my other agent will get everything arranged so we can close both houses in Austin tomorrow. My movers have been so great and are willing to come tomorrow afternoon late to move us in.

Today we're going shopping with B's birthday money. She needs some cute clothes for the summer and school in the fall.

Previously, we had a fun weekend, though. Leo enjoyed his barn time Sat. morning, and then we went to a friend's son's 3rd bday party. (Baby B from a previous TR.) That evening, he watched the Royal Lippizan Stallions. They're descended from an Austrian line bred for military work and they do some amazing dressage footwork. I'll drop some pics at the end of this post.

Well let's see, Thursday my stomach started feeling weird, but I ignored it. Then about 2 hours into work I was literally sick to my stomach. I must've eaten something that did not agree with me or was bad. So I ended up going home early, spent the night in the bathroom and didn't work Friday.

THANKS for all the good thoughts for Doug. He was OK until after supper last night. He is now coming down with a chest cold. I am staying away.

I mowed the yard and cleaned up the debris from our deck destruction. Then I made some dinner, did laundry and added another coat of mud to the joints on the drywall in the man cave.

I just made up a packing list for WDW using a template on the computer. I need to give one to Rockie this next weekend. I also have to copy our flight itinerary for her too. I know I sent her one. I should get her a folder to keep everything in apparently.

I may be absent the next couple of days. I don't know how long the hospital stuff is going to take. I have so much to do around here, especially since it is supposed to stay nice outside. I have to get stuff packed for the mini trip to King's Island this weekend too! Dang! I hope I have time to get back on here before I leave on Saturday. We won't be back until my birthday/Memorial day! I'm only working on Thursday night and I still don't have enough time.

I sent Linds to school this morning but she has no voice. They are taking a field trip to the zoo and I hope she'll do OK. This will be the quietest she has ever been at school.

DR and I will head out to do some shopping for my dad and his birthday and do some grocery shopping. I need to clean the kitchen and straighten the family room some before we go.

I need to catch up on here and quote and will hopefully get to it later on this afternoon.

Can someone explain to me why it's warming in Minneapolis right now than it is at my house What is up with this crazy weather???

So, we've decided we are going to Texas. We'll head out Friday night and take four days to get out there. The drive home has to be done in 2, but all in all it should be fun.

Thanks! No, that was a snow cone. But, really, after 5 minutes in the searing heat, it basically was a drink, lol!

I just called and made my friends ADR's I got the slowest ever CM but she found the reserveration and got everything including CRT, I think it was so slow because they're using the online system

When I called last week it was really slow too, I think it's the new computer system they are using

Yep, it's the new system. My call wasn't too bad, but I've read horror stories on the dining boards about hour+ calls.

Carpy weather here too, and now they are saying Hurricane Anna could be heading up this way for the weekend

OMG, our TV stations are ALL fired up about this! Hurricane seasons begins June 1, so they've just been chomping at the bit in anticipation. This is like every FL weater perosn's fantasy, lol! Wait till Aug. - we'll be over it and only the BIG storms get so much as a mention.

Gotcha. We seriously have looked into the cork flooring. It's cushy and environmentally friendly, and, well, cool! I think when we do the floor (it was the one old thing we left in the kitchen, as it was pretty new) we'll do that.

We had cork tiles throughout the house I grew up in and I LOVED it! It was sort of squishy and totally muffled sound. We had no basement, so the tile was laid over a concrete slab and it stayed nice and warm all winter.

I may be absent the next couple of days. I don't know how long the hospital stuff is going to take. I have so much to do around here, especially since it is supposed to stay nice outside.

Still at MIL's... I have no idea when this will end. I'm hoping to hear something by noon. If we can't sell our house this morning, the buying of the new house will be pushed off until tomorrow.
