Of course you are! :goodvibes

So easy! :thumbsup2

No call from the job so I am going to take that as a a big fat no. I am not going to keep calling. I left a msg yesterday with my # so if she didn't call back I can't do anything.
:rolleyes: I agree with Kate. How long does it take to call you back? :sad2:

Hi, again! Quick check in as the kids put their pj's on.

Janet, sadly, we had no time to take pictures. We got going late (big surprise - not - D is habitually late EXCEPT for work :headache:) and then he practiced docking the boat for nearly an hour. By the time we really got out on our own, we had only an hour before racing back to meet the kids off the bus.

We missed, by about a minute, :rolleyes1 but I'd called my neighbor and he was on the lookout for the boys, so that was good. :lmao:

Our Mexican dinner was good, and now we need to get the kids in bed and do some laundry. See you later!

The boat is apparently ready enough for us to go take it out for a spin before D leaves tomorrow for a week in Miami (be ready to see a lot of me!) and so I am skipping tennis :faint: and going up with D to take a ride! I'm excited! Pictures when I'm back. :goodvibes

I know you've been and back and sounds like a good day. Can't wait to see pics from next time. :thumbsup2

Cute story:
Last night I walked in my bedroom and all the covers were on the ground. This is the 2nd night in a row my kids have done this. So I said to Baby Girl, "What am I going to do with you?" She said, "Love me."

Awwwwwwwww...what a cutie! :goodvibes

Our trip was a success...in that we got to Ohio and back safely ;) The team didn't win anything...but they were up against some amazing kids. For anyone who is concerned about the future of the world, just go to one of these events. Two teams out of 60 have patents pending...and they are middle schoolers!

Glad you enjoyed your trip and WOW! to some of those kids. Good for them!

As a follow-up to my earlier sunscreen post, I want to issue a warning for all who are heading down here in the next few months...

Miss Ohio came into Lindsey's school a few weeks ago and her platform was on suncreen use/skin cancer. Lindsey is very adament now of putting sunscreen on when she goes out. DR is already showing a tan on his neck and the start of a farmer's tan and we haven't had that many sunny warm days. He's like his father and will just tan. Lindsey is like me...poor girl.

I can only find my DIS profile when someone else asks me to be their friend - defintiely not catching on for me, lol!

What the heck is this? I saw someone ask on the other thread and have no clue what or where you find this? :rotfl:

We've already decided (well, I've already decided) that we are going fall break in 2010 which is usually around Columbus Day if we get another free dining pin or some other great offer.

I'm hoping to do a December 2010 trip with my kids so I have a looooooooooonnnnnggggg time to wait! LOL I want to keep it as a surprise to my kids (and pretty much my entire family until we land :laughing: ) to make it a fun for them.

OMG, how bad was it? Gramma missed the tops of her feet Sun. and they are scorched! :scared:

My uncle did that one time while in VA Beach. He ended up going to the ER for sun poisoning it was that bad. :eek:

This morning I was reading about a few fun things to make our trip in January special since it'll be my mom's first trip. When I went in my room to take a shower, A was in my bed watching tv. I kissed his forehead and told him that I was looking at some fun things for our next trip to Disney.
He said, "You do that every day." :lmao: :rotfl:

:rotfl: What a cutie!

Well it was the big Spring meeting today for the ladies and it was blowing a hoolie, the wind was so strong you could hardly stand up at times. I played OK, 4 over my handicap and came 4th but no prize for that :rotfl2: But I did win Player of the Year :yay: Well it's most improved golfer, I also won 2 other prizes and came home with £20 of vouchers about $30 so not bad!

Congrats Jo! Awesome news! :thumbsup2

I'm all set to fly to Dl later this week. Dr told me though to drug up when I get to the airport and to bring a baggie and ask the flight attendant for some ice. Walking is fine, it's just sitting that gives me pins and needles since it's not 100% yet, though I find the more I walk the better it gets. I should be in great shape to fly home then;)

Later Fockers I have meeting to get ready for...

So remember I posted about my connection to the Housewives of NJ, well Murph got some dirt and the MIL of 2 of them is NOT happy about how the family comes off looking. Murph wants me to record it so she can watch now:happytv: nothing like watching someone's elses drama unfold on national TV;)

:woohoo: For your trip almost being here. Good luck with your flight!

And yes, I will definately be watching the NJ wives tonight. They look like a total trainwreak. Maybe even worse than Atlanta.

So I just got out of a meeting. I have just been told I am being transferred to another unit. The parole unit...making sure people get out of jail when they are supposed to. It will take some time to get used to since i'm used to putting people in jail:confused3 It's not bad in that I won't have to deal with people to much...I don't like people;) Seriously, it's fine it's just that nothing is concrete yet. It's happening they just don't know when:confused: I hate having things ups in the air like this. Give me a date, tell me when to move my stuff, and let's get to it! ::yes::

Good Luck Janet! I see its just a lateral move so you can get the job done better. Congrats (I think:confused3)!

I had some left over bananas so I'm making banana bars, doing laundry and contemplating going out to the pool. Getting my suit on and applying sunscreen seems like such work though! :cool2:

Mmmmmmmmmmmm...the banana bars sound wonderful. Thanks for the recipie. And yes, the whole swimsiut, sunscreen and laying out by the pool sound so hard. :laughing:

Oh and since Omicron is 'sick' I am using it as an excuse to take the night off. We are skipping tball, and cubscouts, and karate. The best part is I don't have to see the X tonight since I am calling off everything :yay:

:thumbsup2 That's always a good thing. :rotfl: But glad O is feeling better and sorry about DH and his tooth.

Sassy new items in Norway. Unfortunately I didn't purchase anything although I might later. ;)

misc004.jpg

I saw this painting earlier at F & G but didn't purchase it. Since I had some birthday money, now it's mine. :goodvibes It's by the same artist who did the poster for F & W last year. I want to hang it in our bedroom use it as the inspiration piece.

misc014.jpg

I really like the zebra pieces. :thumbsup2 And the painting you bought is very pretty.

OK I didn't tell you about the presentation after the golf comp today. It got to just before 3pm and I said to the organiser that I either had to leave to pick Ellie up and return in about 40 minutes or stay for 30 minutes and then go, so they said they'd do the presentation then and for me to stay. Well the Lady Captain stands up and says we need to do the presentation in a different order because Jo over there has to leave, she can then go do what ever she needs to do :eek: So everyone's looking my way, I go bright res, the ladies on my table don't know whether to :eek: :sad2: or :rotfl: I can't believe she said that, very strange, anyway I got my cup and scarpered :rotfl2:

:eek: How very rude. I would have died with embarassement.

So, I'm thinking about the January thing... I want to do it up special for my mom, but she can't handle too much excitment, you know? She gets really tired and will need to rest every day. I'm thinking eating in the castle is #1, then Wishes on the beach with dinner at Ohana is #2. I may save the tea for when she goes home and it's just the girls and me. Any other ideas? :cutie:

I like both ideas but I think the tea thing would be fun for your mom as well. And like someone else sugessted maybe have A do a pirate cruise while you girls do the tea thing.

Thanks for your well wishes about Sally. she was 19. she was ready. I'm fine with it. shes in a box on my bed right now. strange I know. I should put her in the shed until we can bury her. Steve might do it when he gets home. I have to go to work in 30 minutes.

OH yeah,,My ex-fiance on FB...I wrote him a simple hello, how are you? congratulations on your success'' he wrote back...we've been just making small talk. I'm over it..I could care less anymore. it feels good! Free! turns out hes incredibly booooring and dry. ugggg!!!

I'm sorry about Sally. :hug:

And yeah, I would say good ridance to ex-fiance as well.

What a waste of a day. I think I ma in a serious funk. I just don't wanna do anything. MEH.

No call from the job so I am going to take that as a a big fat no. I am not going to keep calling. I left a msg yesterday with my # so if she didn't call back I can't do anything.

I'm just trying to look fwd to Friday. KC and I have a date. We are going to go out for Dim Sum and then see Angels & Demons.

other than that I got nothin' lol.

:hug::hug::hug:

Hope your week goes by very quickly!

***********************************************

Sorry for the multiple posts. My dad took the laptop to work today so I was left with no computer. Talk about withdrawls. :rotfl2: I hope he doesn't have to take it tomorrow. :headache:

Nothing special happened with us today though. Linds has Field Day tomorrow if it doesn't rain, but if it does I have to go in and volunteer in her class. Basically I won't know until either tomorrow morning or the afternoon. I don't like having things left up in the air like that.

Night all! I'm getting the kids ready for bed and then will sit down and watch some TV. I amd definately looking foward to the NJ Housewives. LOL

Tea at the GF. My godmother, Jan, is on one side and Tiggerbelle and I are on the other.
Chi wants to do a tea or manicures at the GF. I still haven't decided but your pics sure do make me lean towards the tea.

Always a silver lining :rotfl2:
Not exactly...see below
Well the Lady Captain stands up and says we need to do the presentation in a different order because Jo over there has to leave, she can then go do what ever she needs to do :eek:
How rude :hug:

That is great you are thinking so much of your mom. Have you talked to her to see what she wants to do? Or since it is her first time is she just letting you plan everything?

because as long as you book a service, you can use the spa all day, so there's no rush to do anything. Whirlpool, sauna, steam room. The lights are low in the waiting room with nice music playing. Tea or water is available for the taking as well as fruit. Very nice. :goodvibes

Not a promotion, just a lateral transfer. I'm taking it as a compliment, the person who is up there now apparently is a moron and they think I will be ale to clean things up:confused3
I hope it turns into a promotion. Are you happy about the change? :confused3

Hey, everyone. I was going to quote, but we're getting ready to head out to dinner.
Have fun at dinner!

Thanks for your well wishes about Sally. she was 19. she was ready. I'm fine with it. shes in a box on my bed right now. strange I know. I should put her in the shed until we can bury her. Steve might do it when he gets home. I have to go to work in 30 minutes.

I guess I missed this. I'm sorry about Sally :hug:

From when we had a mouse problem in our apartment...try those glue traps, the hardcore industrial ones, they work great. it's yucky to clean it up but they catch the suckers!
[/COLOR]
He sat the old timie traps and caught two within an hour.Your date night sounds great! Sorry she hasn't called about the job :hug:

Hi, again! Quick check in as the kids put their pj's on.
Hi CE!

I have a funny story and a vent. First the vent: I thought that by not going to tball or cheernastics that I could have one night without seeing my X. Well guess what. He showed up unannounced tonight. Knocks on my door and says he is going to the game anyway and wanted to know if Chi or Omicron wanted to come with him? :headache: I swear he would move in with us if we asked him to. He knows no boundaries. I said Omicron had to stay here but let Chi go. I just didn't want to fight in front of the kids but after they go to bed tonight I am going to have to draw the line with him. He can't just show up like that.

Ok now my funny story. I have been cleaning Tau's room all day (yes it was that bad). His birthday is coming up so I was purging the old toys. He was occupied so I tried to sneak out with the large box of toys that I was getting rid of. I hear him call my name so I start walking faster out the back door and down the stairs and towards our storage building. He calls my name again so I started to run carrying this rather large box of toys.

Then when I picked my face off the ground I looked behind me to find the kids red wagon right where I was walking. I skinned my wrist, the back of my arm ( I have no idea how I did that), my knees, and one ankle. :headache: To make it worse Tau finds me and says "I'll help you pick up the toys mommy" And he helps me pick up all his toys that were scattered in the yard and carries them to the storage building without any questions.

At last someone who does what I tell them ;):rotfl2: Oh and daft means silly and rhymes with raft :thumbsup2

blowing a hoolie,
:rotfl: you crack me up! Congrats on the award!:cheer2:

It's like we're on Sesame Street, Jo! LOL :lmao:

i agree.:rotfl2:

Getting my suit on and applying sunscreen seems like such work though! :cool2:

oh the horror! :rolleyes: haha i wish i could go lay out or swim. Sound relaxing. too bad i dont even have time to blink lately.:scared:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today i got home and the puppy was off of her chain. :mad: someone must have let her off, which is bad because shes small and has crawled under the fence before. Im soooo mad. One of my roommates will be getting reamed tonight. I know which one it is....
Oh and i did post pics a while back, i may post more later, but no time now. She hasnt been a terror with her whining or barking. It seems like just a little bit that she will grow out of, but i want to put an end to it now to be sure. Im trying to scold her or ignore it anytime she starts to whine or cry. I just hope the other dumba$$'s in the house dont ruin my work when i leave.
Today i prepared a specimen of a lab rat in my mammalogy lab. Ill spare you the details, but i got to remove the skin and stuff it. Im glad i have very good sewing skills because my mouth came out the best. And his head was shaped just right. :thumbsup2 I cant wait until shes all dried and i can bring her home.:goodvibes I feel like this is getting kinda creepy now, but i had a lot of fun and it wasnt as gross as i thought it would have been. Except when the tail made a slurping noise when it was pulled out.:scared1:
now i have to go study for my test tomorrow. :faint: they never seem to stop do they?
Probably you should do both! :rolleyes1 There is a my first mani package. :goodvibes
enabler :cloud9:
While DH and three kids were gone to the game I heard the trap go off again. I very cautiously opened the cabinet door and heard the darn thing hiss at me. I ran back to the couch and called DH but he wouldn't listen to me because he was giving me a play for play account of the game. It was 14 to 14 and Delta was up to bat with bases loaded. If he hit one person home then we would win the game. He hit it hard and our teammate went home making it 15 to 14 and we won the game!
Now back to my rat story...When Dh finally got home I told him the mouse was hissing at me so he took a look and jumped back. He said 'I think we got the mama'. This thing was huge and guess what. It wasn't dead! So my poor DH had to 'finish' it and carry it outside without letting the kids (or me) see it. When he moved it we found the missing poison that he left out the weekend. apparently mama rat brought it up there and fed it to her babies.
Hopefully this will be the end of the mice :scared:
I think we are even for me having to call all the dentist offices yesterday.
unfortunately i have a lot or experience with mice and traps. Living out in the country they are all over.:scared: when i was little i remember catching babies in tupperware, rescuing flailing mice from the pool, and worst of all....stepping on and killing a mouse on accident....barefoot.:scared1: I also remember that the best bait is peanut butter on the mouse trap. I remember many times having to throw the mice over the fence into the orchard. A lot better than sticking your hand into the pool filter only to find some very large drown rodent in your hand!
Anyway the reason i say this is that those old country raised women can be brutal to their mice! My grandparents friends were over and the wives were all discussing how they killed their mice. They used sticky paper traps and one women put them under her truck tire and backed over them, but the other one liked to hit them with a hammer!:eek: They must get some sort of sick satisfaction from it. :scared:
Good luck with the mice. It sounds like youve pretty much got it under control, but remember to be super safe with the poison. I hate that loose stuff.
:rotfl: I'm sorry I don't mean to laugh and I'm glad your alright but its just funny that he didn't even care that you were putting his toys away. LOL
And sorry about the ex. Hope you can get something worked out. Its times like that that I'm glad mine lives 1100 miles away. I have a feeling that even if he did live close he wouldn't come near my house because he's basically a coward and can't stand to hear what my family has to say about him. :sad2:
So who all watched Real Housewives of NJ? I gotta say I loved the part of the lady getting stood up (I mean really?!?) and then the other one bringing binoculars. I LMBO on that part. :rotfl:
I didn't know your Mom was going too! The spa sounds nice!
:eek: What a snarky woman, Jo!
The thing is she's not and it was so weird that she said that, there again she is one of those people that says stuff without thinking!!!
Good Morning Fockers!
Not much planned today. DR has school this afternoon and I just dropped Lindsey off. She is supposed to have a field day this afternoon if it doesn't rain. If it does then I'm to go in and volunteer. I'm really hoping it stays nice so they can have the field day. From The Weather Channel and local news it isn't looking good though. Its sunny out right now though. :confused3 We'll see though...
Hope y'all have a good Wednesday!
I have a funny story and a vent. First the vent: I thought that by not going to tball or cheernastics that I could have one night without seeing my X. Well guess what. Ugh. :headache: I guess my ex thinking I'm the devil has its advantages; at least he leaves me alone! :rolleyes:
So who all watched Real Housewives of NJ?
I started but then fell asleep. I'll have to catch up next week.
I had to wait in this morning for the gas man to come an inspect the work done last week and it's all fine, thing is I'm now on my laptop and can't be bothered to go and clean the house that desperately needs doing :rotfl2:
Eh, it'll still be there later, right?! I'm in an enabling mood today. ;)
###############################################
Well, our riding lesson get canceled yesterday but not due to rain. Apparently the school to which the stables are attached had something going on. So no rain and no riding. But we're re-scheduled for a lesson Friday.
That is great you are thinking so much of your mom. Have you talked to her to see what she wants to do? Or since it is her first time is she just letting you plan everything?
:goodvibes I have mentioned a couple of things to her, but I told her I didn't want to tell her eerything because I wanted it to be a surprise.:yay:
Yuck on the Ex thing. How'd the talk go?
:rotfl: on the toys thing. :lmao:
Thankfully you are ok! :thumbsup2 Now you know whom to call for help decluttering. :rotfl:
:rotfl2:
I didn't know your Mom was going too! The spa sounds nice!
Yes, we decided to invite my mom. She's never been and she wanted to go ont he last two trips, but I told her no. Now that we've been and had magic, I'm willing to share it. ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, now I'm leaning toward going in March again. it was such nice weather when we went this year. A couple of the days got crowded, but we just rode the rides with FPs and left to swim when it got really crazy. Am I crazy?
I know my mom loves to sit at the pool and she'd love to watch the fireworks from the beach, so Jan. wasn't really the best weather for that. :rolleyes1

I'm in an enabling mood today. ;)

You don't say ;):rotfl2:

I don't think you're crazy. We went in February once and it was bitter cold. Bitter. Cold. But when is Easter next year? That might have to be factored in to your plans.

Morning:goodvibes

I have a serious case of WDW withdrawal. January just seems too far away.:sad2:

But, how's this for crazy...DH has to go to San Antonio at the end of the month for a conference and we're thinking of all going. That means a drive from SC to San Antonio. Yup. You read it right. A DRIVE. :scared: I truly think I'm daft, but I don't know when this opportunity will present itself again and I'd love the boys to see the deep south. I'm weighing the drive against the things we'd get to see and do...but I keep coming back to the drive :crazy:

My grandparents friends were over and the wives were all discussing how they killed their mice.
:rotfl2:

And how did your test go today?

:rotfl: I'm sorry I don't mean to laugh and I'm glad your alright but its just funny that he didn't even care that you were putting his toys away. LOL
Nope, didn't care one bit.

And sorry about the ex. Hope you can get something worked out. Its times like that that I'm glad mine lives 1100 miles away. I have a feeling that even if he did live close he wouldn't come near my house because he's basically a coward and can't stand to hear what my family has to say about him. :sad2:
:hug: All that running for nothing. I only dream of my ex meeting some hot chic that talks him into moving far, far away :cloud9:

What a PITA your ex is and sorry you hurt yourself but sounds as though Tau is very cute!
:yes:

I think our kids go to the same school :lmao: Everything you say that Linds has my Chi has. It is suppose to rain here and She has field day today too!

Ugh. :headache: I guess my ex thinking I'm the devil has its advantages; at least he leaves me alone! :rolleyes:
Oh he thinks I'm the devil too. He is just knows no manners and has no social skills. I seriously think he is a high functioning autistic adult (I am being serious here and not making fun of him or anyone with autism). He has done some very weird things throughout our married and unmarried lives. He lacks the ability to sympathize with others. I'll explain more below.

:goodvibes I have mentioned a couple of things to her, but I told her I didn't want to tell her eerything because I wanted it to be a surprise.:yay:

That sounds very nice. I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything you plan for her. Just remember some downtime just in case she gets tired or overwhelmed. I'll explain about the talk below.

How about early March? Like before spring break starts?

Well I didn't talk to my ex. I sent him an email instead. I have learned to keep everything in writing with him because he remembers conversations differently that what I remember them. This way I have a record of what all I said. I addressed some other things in the email as well.

Since he goes to every stinkin practice, he usually offers to give the kids a ride home. At first I saw no harm in this - just riding from point A to point B which is about 2 miles, what could go wrong? Well when he gets them home he then gets out of his car. If the kids go into the back yard to play, he follows them. If they want to throw ball he gets his glove out and starts throwing ball with them. In fact the only way to get him to leave is to get all the kids inside. Then he goes to the door and asks for them to come back to the door so he can tell them bye. This takes upto 30 minutes. And this is every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and some Fridays and Saturdays!

I've had enough so I told him if he can't just drop them off then they can't ride with him any more. I addressed some more stuff too but those were the big things. So far he hasn't replied back.

I just want a night without my X!!!

Anywho. Today is my anual review at work :sad2: They already told us not to expect any raises so I'm not expecting anything. Hopefully I wont be disappointed.

This man seriously has problems and honestly probably doesn't think he has done anything wrong (or even weird).

As opposed to what? Sorry - I forgot. But about March... the UG predictions are surprisingly low for a good part of it, in case that helps!

You don't say ;):rotfl2:
:rolleyes1 Just spreading the Fuzzy love! :teeth:

I'm about to email some possible solutions to that ailment. :thumbsup2

And I'm no help here, either... I LOVE car trips! I fantasize about doing a Southwest one with Leo one day. I'd like him to be larger and more stable before we go teetering around the edge of the Grand Canyon, though. :rolleyes:

OMG, were we married to the same guy?! For real, you just described Bonehead, as I affectionately refer to him these days. In my case, he prefers distance, but the rest is so much alike it's creepy. Bonehead was raised in a cult and abusive home and never learned any critical thinking skills or how to empathize. He's a nice guy generally, but lives in fantasyland; he HAS to have others make decisions for him. We were fine together until I had Leo and didn't have the time or mental energy to make his decisions any more. So he left for work and never came back when Leo was 8 months old. And truly, to this day, doesn't understand why that made me so sad. :hug: to you. I KNOW how hard it is.

Morning all!!! :surfweb:
