We are home and I now have an official 1st grader The kids did a great job. If I can get Ji upload some of the video I will post it for you.

Hi Ho friends!

Just popping in to spread my love to all of you! Summer is off to big start for us. I have so much going on with my family... it is crazy! We have been to doctor's appt's upon more doctor's appt's. Today's was finally to the podiatrist for me (for my planters fac... which has been over a year of pain.). Now DS has been complaining of pain in his foot and it appears he has a falling arch. Poor little guy. He is too young for that. So we were both fitted for orthodox to insert into our shoes and I have 2 new friends to wear to bed.

I have been keeping up with you all on FB, only because my iphone has a great app for it. I am hoping to get the new iphone in a few weeks, which will allow me to keep up here much better! I want the DIS to come out with a cool app!


I'm going to try to figure out what is going on around here. I'm off to read a few pages back. Wish me luck!

Oh, sorry, Janet. I should have checked in earlier. We're fine.

It was really stressful for a while last night. I had just dropped B off at dance and I knew it was about to rain. I had been out with C at her dance class, so I didn't realize how bad the weather was about to get. Right after I got home (less than 15 minutes), it started raining and hailing. B called upset and scared b/c her dance team was shuffled into a tiny bathroom, then relocated to the fire station next door. (The tornado siren had gone off, but I didn't realize that yet.) K jumped in the truck to go get her even though B and her teacher asked him not to drive in that weather.

At home, I had C, who really started flipping out when we got the call from B. She didn't want K to leave. I called a friend who told me they were in the closet. I turned on the news and found that my area was advised to seek shelter. I tried to leave C downstairs in the only room we had with no windows (a tiny, under the stairs bathroom) while I went to get A from his bed. But she wasn't having it. She came upstairs with me and while I tried to wake an incredibly sleepy A up, she started yelling and crying for him to get up. Bless her. She was losing it.

I shut both of them downstairs and in the bathroom screaming and crying while I tried to look at the news. I was only a few steps away, but C didn't want me or the dog to be out of the bathroom. I shoved the dog in, handed them both apples and reassured them that I was fine. I really couldn't hear what was going on on the news with all their wailing. It was really intense.

I called K and asked him to please stay where they were safe, but he doesn't listen a bit and was determined to drive home. There were two touchdowns within 5 miles of here, but other than samoe hail damage and leaves on the ground, we were not affected, thankfully. K and B got home and we snuggled up on the couch watching the news until everyone calmed down and the rain stopped. Whew! I'm glad it's over.


CE- A loves Lego Batman more than any other game he's ever had.


I don't think I'll use a different name on FB. It's just easier to keep it real and only accept friends that I don't mind knowing where we live and details about my life that I wouldn't want to post here.

Why, oh why, can't I find DVC points info for a cruise? I want to know how much a land/sea trip would cost for my family in 2011.

When you are working your way around to fixing supper, do you say you are "fixin' to fix supper?"

Actually I say I am starting supper. Janet would say that refers to automobiles too!

V has survived the ants.

CE survived having no propane for the grill. Can she survive an igloo?

KAT has survived her excitement over the new job. She is going to survive a small party at her place.

ANGELA survived a Braves loss and thunderstorms by the pool.

TE has survived a diet and lost some tonnage. If she ever really had 'tonnage'.

KICKAPOO has survived a full-time+ job and now gets to train someone to help.

JO survived being alone at golf and got an eagle. (NOT the bird)

JANET is surviving her baby's leap into grade school.

I have survived cleaning! Now I must survive work. I'll be leaving in an hour. Doug will to have 'fix' his own supper. Good thing there are left-overs.

I hope everyone survives the night. I probably won't be back until tomorrow. Be good!!!!

Afternoon all !! Worked from 6 a.m. to 2 today came home to dishes, cook supper, fix Judy delish strained cream soup and protein shakes !!She says she is feeling a little better today ,the gas is gurgling I think we might have a sonic boom when it lets loose !!But she took a bath and I didn't have to call the Fire Brigade to get her out !!! So yet another good sign !!She also is less female doggish!!!!
Went to lunch with my Boss again !! She likes hiding out at the house on Fridays and needs very little incouragement to do lunch!!All in all a good day and I was ready for one !!
I picked up a mess of hours at my second job .. I had been declining since my Disney trip but now I need to earn those bucks for Disney!!

Hey, S'latie - I answered - sort of - your FB question. I just did some Googling, but I gave you the website I found.

In my family, "dinner" was the midday meal and "supper" the evening one. So, yeah, that's not at all confusing. And we did a lot of "fixing" of either one.

For those who are newish...

I'm Jen... er... Jen1 sometimes... sometimes confused for Jen2. I am a SAHM and super, duper busy volunteer for my kids schools (ds = 7.5, dd... refered to as TINK is 4.5... she is trouble!). I haven't been around much since March. I took a SB trip to the world, then got swamped with things at school. TOO SWAMPED! The good news is that I am done for the school year. The bad news is that I am just as busy carting kids around.



So David is here in MN and I didn't KNOW! I'm hoping he keeps me posted on his where abouts and I just may try to stalk him.

Yeah, rent out the points and use cash for the cruise, it's what we keep coming back to because it's such a bad deal to cruise on points (which is why we've never done it)

Lexie from my Vegas TR and her DFi are staying here, so things have been a little crazy (oh, and Mom left to go to FL to be there for my godmother/her BFF-it's her DH's memorial service tonight). They went apartment hunting in Boston today, so I went out to eat and saw Up. I loved Up, but I cried like a baby. Mom was going to take Mordie and Ferdie to see it Thursday as it's their last day of school, but I may try to steer them to see something else, as she cries at the drop of a hat.

Hi everyone else! Whats shakin?

Tonight is homemade pizza night. Ok I bought the dough from the pizzeria but still- my own sauce and toppings.

We cleaned for a few hours today but the casa is sparkly now. Tomorrow we have to hit the grocery store for the food for Sunday's "party" but thats about it for the weekend. I assume KC will be gaming tonight and I on the pc, so you may all see me.

Now I need to take a shower because I smell funky after all the cleaning. Then I have to chops stuff for the pizza. now I'm, hungry!
