Deb - good luck with the new boss.

Mo - I am so sorry to hear about Namath's health, he is in my prayers.

Angela - I would be all shaky from internet withdrawls. Why do computer companies make things to hard to get things resolved? That had to be so frustrating!

Hugs and prayers for Kat and Janet!

Bill's parents came over from Indiana on Sunday. We went out to lunch and then Bill's Dad looked over the situation with the new wheelchair and the van. The old chair had a locking system for the van. The plate in the floor was not in the right place for the new chair, so Bill's Dad with help from me pulled the van floor up and repositioned it. He said it was great that I liked taking things apart and fixing them :rotfl:. I adore Bill's parents, it was a great day.

We decided to go to Vegas in the spring. Neither of us have ever been so any tips would be helpful. We are not gamblers and are NOT getting married so what else would you suggest we do :rotfl2:. I did make this a bargining chip though, I said I would go to Vegas ONLY if I get to go to DL within a year of the Vegas trip :thumbsup2. I had to get to Disneyland some day.

It is 64 days until our trip, we are still in the "omg time is d r a g g i n g" stage. I have a little confession, all the customs that Piper from the disboutique thread made for Hannah and the t shirts I bought Josh and family are already packed :rolleyes1. Yes, I started packing Saturday. I am sick I know, but at least they are ready to go.

LOL, Kristel - Peter Frampton invented the voice box guitar, Del Casher invented the wah-wah pedal. ;)

S'late - that was funny getting texts from you! I have no idea what we were texting about, but I do remember :lmao:.

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

I have to head out to the ortho in few. The kitchen is ALMOST done!!! :faint: I heart my new kitchen! :cloud9:

ETA: Mo - I'm sending you lots and lots of good wishes for you baby! :hug:

Just a quick update and thanks for the :hug:(I'm exhausted)

The specialist doesn't feel Namath is in any immediate danger. He suggests a round of antibiotics and wait and see. The kidney could be reacting to an infection. (though last year, he had an issue with the same kidney and we determined it was bad treats made in China, maybe long lasting affect here:confused3)

The regular vet and I spoke and will take some more blood to check some additional kidney function levels.

So tomorrow night we go back to the vet to have the blood drawn and pick up a 3 week supply of antibiotics.

At this point I am still going on vacation. The antibiotics won't be finished until after I'm back and unless he starts to act sick I don't think there is anything I can do and both vets feel there is no immiment threat.

That's the funny thing, to look at the little furry imp, it's hard to imagine there is anything going on with him. If it wasn't for the lab work from his annual last week we would have never known there was anything going on. He is still acting like the perpetual puppy that he always does.

So as of now, I have 8 Fuzzy days or 12 real ones...

Hello All!!

SLATE got the low-down on the Wah-wah inventor. :lmao:

ROSIE got Kyle's costume. :yay:

DEB had a total of 12 hours of sleep all weekend starting on Friday. She was waiting to meet the new boss today.

I hope you get some sleep tonight.

MO’s little Namath is having trouble with one of his kidneys. The vets are saying some antibiotics may help. Mo says he looks great.

I hope they do the trick.

ANGELA has to send her computer out to be fixed. It should be free. She went with her dad to San Angel for dessert + he got a special call from Goofy for his B-day! :woohoo:

TRACY and Bill are going to Vegas in the spring. She’d like some tips for there. She thinks she is sick because they are still over 2 months from WDW and she started packing.

There is lots of free stuff to see. Caesar’s Forum at Caesar’s Palace is a fairly big indoor mall. Lots of neat stores. Plus some of the statues come to life. It is really cool to just walk through the casinos. There are stores all over the place – Coco Cola, M&Ms, Harley Davidson, etc. You definitely need to see the volcano at the Mirage at night too. Do you know where you are staying?

T says her kitchen is almost done and she loves it.:dance3:

Sorry Fockers, I don't have time to chat. Work is calling.

Lori- I guess your ex really "knows" the kids well, huh? :rolleyes1 The kids will pick up on his inattentiveness soon!

DR was giving the phone a What the heck? look and then looked over at me like what in the world is he talking about. :rotfl: Oh well...he's missing out on these things. Not me.

Not much of weekend for me I'm afraid. By the time I got up Saturday it was already noon. I tried to go to sleep when I got home from work at 2:30am. No dice. Laundry, yard work, and a little on the packing front, not much else.

I hope everyone has a good Monday!

UGH...hope you can get some sleep soon so that you can get stuff down soon. Not much longer!

Just got back from picking up a Costume for Kyle fo MNSSHP !!! He is gonna be Megatron!!:confused3I am not upon all these characters !!

:thumbsup2 Is Megatron the Transformer guy?

So I got 3 hours sleep at the camp-in on Friday. I drank caffeine all day to stay awake but then couldn't sleep Saturday night. I think i got 4 hours sleep Sat. Sunday we had friends over until 8 then I had to help my brother with his calculus homework. Then I had to do laundry. I think I got 5 hours sleep last night. Yep that is 12 hours over a weekend. I feel a little zombi-ish today.

Still waiting on our new boss...I think he is in HR filling paperwork or doing drug tests. I am exhausted from lack of sleep over the weekend and hope I don't make too bad of an impression today. It's lunch time and we are debating on eating our lunches we brought or if seeing if our new manager wants us to all go out....

UPDATE: My coworkers are eating at their desks so I guess that answers that question. Guess I am off to fetch my sandwich I brought. yummy

Ugh...sorry about the sleep, hope you can catch up on it soon. So, how was the new boss?

Just popping in to ask for some prayers.

Namath's ultrasound was not good, it looks like a kidney is collapsing.

I was at the vet's for over 3 hours and now are waiting for the specialist to read the films and figure out what is going on. Should know more later today.

From what I understand dogs can live with one healthy kidney, just as humans do.

If he does need surgery I need to know when, if it has to be soon, I may be canceling my vacation to stay home and take care of him. I could not ask my mother to do that while I'm off in Florida having fun (plus how much fun would I have at that point)...

:hug::hug::hug: Prayers for your fur baby.

I am so glad to have internet access again! :banana: Thursday morning the computer kept sticking whist trying to turn on. So as I'm waiting for my computer guy, Mitch wants me to call HP to see if it's still under warranty. Turns out it is, for another week, but I was on the phone with them for 2 1\2 hours! :scared1: Of course nothing was resolved, but my computer guy tested it and told me exactly what to tell HP. I need a new mother board and have to send my computer back to HP to be fixed. It should be back to me within 9 business days.:rolleyes: But I don't have to pay anything out of pocket so that's good.

I missed you all out at Epcot Saturday. :goodvibes My dad got a call from Goofy for his b'day, and a Mexican dessert from San Angel. They are gone now and I can relax all by myself.

UGH about the computer! It sucks to be without internet. Glad you can get it fixed though. And your dad sounds like he had a nice birthday.

Glad you were able to get the van fixed and get Bill's new chair locked into place. And I have to say that the customs you have for Hannah are gorgeous! The Minnie one is just adorable and I love the white Princess one. So pretty!

:woohoo: to a trip to Vegas. The ex and I went when Lindsey was a little over a year old. I didn't gamble much since I had baby in tow. I could walk through with her but not stop at tables or slot machines. Heck, I wasn't even allowed to be near the cash in spots with her. :confused3

I know Lindsey and I spent a day shopping at the mall that is there. We went to the Hoover Damn for an afternoon. We wanted to drive to the Grand Canyon but the rim that is the closest was closed because it was February. We would have had to drive I think 6-8 hours to get to the main one. I think. I know I had a spa day one day. We walked the strip and looked in the other hotels. That's all I can think of for now. We were only there for a few days before heading back to the LA area and to Disneyland.

I think I have finally shook the overwhelmed feeling I've had all day. I didn't get enough sleep last night and was worried about both my keyboarding final and math test I had today. The math test really wasn't that bad and I think I did OK. I have an A in the class and needed to get at least an 80 on this test to keep the A and not have to take the final. Hopefully, I'll find out by tomorrow once my teacher e-mails me my grade.

I'm off to get the kids ready for bed and then head to bed myself. Hope everyone has a good night!

Just got the kids to bed and checked my school e-mail. I scored 100% on the test I just took! :woohoo: (The only one too!) A in class an no final! And here I was worried about it. :rotfl:

Hey all just a hello from me. I'm still alive and kicking (barely sometimes). Just trying to get through each day, one day at a time.

I had a session with a human resources person at the store today to fix up my resume. I also went to see an old friend today and he may have a lead on a full time job! That would be amazing, it's 3 times as much as I make now and I could prob work at Disney for a day or 2 still and keep the discount!

Tomorrow i am going to a bar in the west village in the city for Trivia. It was fun last week. Unfortunately I ma also meeting with Pants to let him in on everything thats going on, i know its gonna break his heart.

Anyways I'm off to eat some ice cream and head to bed- because I can.

Some :hug::hug::hug: for Mo!

Way to go, Lori! :banana:

Good luck, Kat! :cool1:

Not much going on today. My ironing pile is smaller but I must get it finished. :rolleyes: The US Open started yesterday so at least I have something to wach wilst I'm busy. Kat, if you see my boyfriend in town, Rafael Nadal, please take a picture. :goodvibes

Mo I hope everything works out with Nameth :hug:

Lori that's fantastic about your test :thumbsup2

Kat I hope you get the job, what is it?

Everyone else :wave2:

Just went and played 9 holes with Jess, Elie walked round. I don't know why but I just lose it with her everytime. If I ever have to look for my ball she just stands there and watches me :mad: Everytime I tell her she has to help as it's rude and bad etiquette not too but she never remembers :headache: I also think they're ready to go back to school as they constantly annoy each other, sometimes just in a jokey way but I don't know that and think they're serious :( Ells goes on Friday and Jess on Monday so only a few more days left!!!

Where is everyone? :confused3
It's been really quiet lately - not just here, but all over the DIS. :confused:

At this point I am still going on vacation. The antibiotics won't be finished until after I'm back and unless he starts to act sick I don't think there is anything I can do and both vets feel there is no immiment threat.

Sounds terrific Kat - keep hanging in there and focus on these kinds of positives! :hug:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi all! :wave:
Fun times around here... NOT. Got a call from Leo's school yesterday that he was in the clinic with a "scratchy" throat. Well, our allergies have been horrible and he wasn't running a fever and seemed to be fine, so back to class he went. Only to be isolated from all the other kids in the after-school program. Nice.
This morning, he's totally congested. Still no fever or anything else to indicate the dreaded Swine Flu, but sure as anything if I sent him to school he'd wind up in the clinic because Swine Flu hysteria's running high here. So he's home with Gramma.
Work... is as drama-ridden as always. :headache: I'm desperate for a break - hooray for Labor Day! :yay:
Way to go, Lori! :banana:
:goodvibes Thanks Angela.
Have fun with ironing and watching the Open.
Lori that's fantastic about your test :thumbsup2
Thanks Jo! :goodvibes
Sorry about the golf game. Hang in there summer is almost done for you guys. :hug:
YAY!!! :woohoo: And :hug: I know all about that overwhelmed feeling - hang in there!
:goodvibes Thanks V! Sorry about Leo and the whole school thing. That is just nuts.
**************************************************
Lindsey is at school and DR and I are about to head down to the store to get some things for lunch. We'll probably head over to the library as well to pick up some books I have on hold. Plus, I want to sign DR up for storytime.
Hope everyone is having a good day!
Kat--let us know about the job!
Mo---thinking about little Namath! My Kitty has been having a rough time lately and it's worrying me too (huge allergic rash on stomach that won't go away despite $400 worth of shots...she's licks and scratches all day long)....plus we lost a cow this month ($350).....I know why I work some now! sigh!
We had a good time at BA's game last nite--posted some pics of her on FB.
Went to the eye doctor this morning as I am having trouble reading things up close without extending my arms....:rolleyes:...but turns out my eyes have got BETTER with age and now my contacts are too strong! So first time for a weaker prescription ever!
Then my EAR doctor called and got me scheduled for an appt at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville on 9/29 for a consultation about my ear surgery. It's over a 6 hour drive but he's supposed to be a really good surgeon for this procedure. My left ear is shot now...worse than that....it BUZZZES all the time which stops my right ear from hearing. :mad:
so we'll see what he says!
We only have between 6 and 7 weeks, goodness knows how you all do your long vacations!!!
Wooohoooo :rotfl2: sorry about your cat and cow and wow a 6 hour drive away :faint: Good luck :hug:
Not much going on here, wow I'm interesting aren't I :rotfl2:
We got some devastating news yesterday....devastating for the drama queen, but all will be ok.
All three of my children are allergic to dogs....or as the Dr put it, they have a little dog allergy, level II. So we are joking that they are allergic to little dogs i.e. our dachshund. hehe. But DD is also allergic to cats and to her, her world has ended. She has been looking forward to the day she is own her own so she can have a cat (DH is allergic). Also, DD wants to be a vet; she is the type that fears no animal and will let dogs lick her in the face (yuck!). To make matters worse, she is also allergic to cod fish which is found in fish sticks, meatless hotdogs, some bologna, and imitation crabmeat such as found in California Rolls, her favorite sushi. Oh and she is allergic to oak trees as well.
