There are fewer and fewer cases here :thumbsup2

Jess wanted to make something and found a recipe for chocolate crunch or something like that. Anyway it had to be made in the microwave so she put it in a pan and I could hear (I was in the other room) that she was lining it so I shouted through make sure you're not using tin foil as it's going in the microwave. She wasn't so all good till she screams that it's sparking in the microwave, neither of us had thought about the face that the tin was metal :sad2::rotfl2: I thought she'd blown up the microwave but it still works :thumbsup2

Hi everyone just home from another LONG day and I am whipped !!!!

Anyone hear from Kat ????

HI Rosie! I'm here.

Things have been at a standstill for the last few days. Not much going on really. We have been home together just hanging around. Went food shopping yesterday. We have plans to see Harry potter in IMAX tonight, and prob hit Olive Garden for the never ending pasta bowl. I'm trying my best to stay positive and take things one day at a time.

All your PM's, MSG's and text's have been helping me sooooo much- so thank you all!

It's rainy here but I'm excited to get out of the house. Staying still all alone makes things rougher.

hey guys!

Less than a week until our trip to DL:banana: Unfortunately there was a little drama. Marc may have to go out of county to fight fires. He doesnt really get any notice. He could deny it, but its 2 straight weeks of overtime and a lot of extra money for us. So for now weve decided to go about the trip as normal. If he gets called out on a team before we leave then i guess well be going without him. And if not, hell take a seperate car from the rest of us and all of his gear in case he gets called out while we are down there. Most likely the fires would be down south anyway, so it might not be as bad.

I was really upset about all of this, because i've been looking forward to this trip for months. and on top of it yesterday he was told he had to take a mandatory class, so he would miss my birthday and the days surrounding it.:scared1: But at least today he weaseled his way around the class and hell be there for me. I wasnt looking forward to another birthday alone.:sad1: so it's been an emotional day.

Now i have to get on the ball and start my 10 page paper. :headache: So far ive spent the day crying and cleaning. but hey...its better than research and writing.

So last I posted I had poison Ivy, well it got worse,
Yikes

I spoke with Janet. She's home still.
Thanks for the Janet update. for you and Janet.

Happy Friday to everyone!
Happy Friday (and saturday) Kristel :goodvibes

I did order the PhotoPass CD and a special phone call from Micky for Rockie.
that reminds me... Anyone want to um share a photopass Cd with me for December or October 2010?

That's hilarious and the IM stuff :rotfl2:

I am glad we did too. From my desk you can only hear that someone is talking but it sounds all mumbly. From anywhere else in the office you can hear clearly if you are listening.

Last night was fun, except she was telling me all about her DH, I knew a little but he's been really sick recently, he keeps twitching and they've found he has serious never damage, still not sure what it is as they're waiting for more tests but he's convinced he's dying. So prayers and thoughts would be appreciated.
You got it.

Jess is funny she has made a spreadsheet already for our December trip, written in where she wants to dine etc etc, really don't know where she gets it from
I love it!!\

Have a good weekend all my favourite fockers :goodvibes

Yay! for the win.

Um did I ever tell you the story of what happened to my parents first microwave in the early 80's???

So sorry about all that. Look at the bright side... You are still getting married in Disneyland!!!!!

Last night we had a camp-in at our church for the 1st-6th graders. DH and I had 30 kids total. We set up tents in our gym and watched movies on the overhead projector. I let them eat all the junk food they wanted. They had a blast. But i only got 3 hours sleep and tried to nap all day but wound up just being lazy on the couch instead. So now I am still tired but nothing got done all day. Oh well, it was worth it.

Chi is staying at my sister's house and Alpha and Delta have friends staying the night. So we have 6 kids instead of 5. We can't get below our 5 kid minimum ya know :rotfl:

Oh and I forgot to mention that the family that was with us in DW had their baby on Friday :yay:

Evening Fockers!!! Home for a couple of days !!I got alot of workdone today at WORK!!! The end of he month is sooooo busy !!:scared1: have tototal all the foodstamps spent and match everything up , which isn't to bad as I have an awesome guy :thumbsup2who does the shoping and he is a fanatic about us matching up and will sit with me and go over everything till we find the mistake !! ;)So far this month we matched without hitch :banana:then there is petty cash which is a nightmare:eek: as they are soooooo picky about receipts and codes and having 500 signatures, okay so I exagerate a little:lmao: Nowallof this is in themidst of 5000 questions from the consumer on such immediate needs as a Birthday in October :rotfl2:, a concert in September etc :rotfl2:Someone getting stung or at least thinking they did by a Bee!!That ha to be recorde in 3 places plus 2 forms made out the nurse ,the family the president ,congress etc called!! None of this a kiss will make it all better !!!:lmao:

I hope Janet and Mo are doing better !!:hug: And ofcourse:hug::hug:for Kat!!!

Just a quick hello! I's glad someone has talked to Janet. I feel so bad for her! Is she in a lot of pain?

I had to say goodbye to my "brother" last night. He left for 10 months to Chile this AM. I am already really sad! I am really proud of him though! He'll be living in a monastery community and teaching English to poor children. :)

I am off to sulk some more...

No popcorn:: Last night sounded cool, exhausting but cool :rotfl2: and congrats to your friend!

Will he not come home at all? He's doing a great thing though oh and it's so good to see you :goodvibes

OK where is everyone? We need Janet and CE back as they're the chatterboxes around here :rotfl2:

We went to a National Trust park for a picnic today, probably walked about 5 miles too :rotfl2: We have then lazed all afternoon as it looked like rain but didn't :sad2: Tomorrow is a national holiday here and we have no clue what we're doing!

Hello Peeps! :wave2:

Just poppin in to see how everyone is doing.

:lmao: at the micro, Jo. Waldo puts aluminum foil in our ALL the time - drives me NUTS!

Rosie - enjoy your days off!

 and  to everyone!

We went to my brother's 50th bday party last night at this great restaurant in Marina Del Rey. It was fancy and most of all fun and tons of booze! We sat with the inventor of the "Wah-Wah" pedal (for those who are familiar with guitars, you'll know who he is) and his lovely, lovely wife. She and I are new BFF's! :lmao: It was a food and wine party and my brother is a HUGE foodie. We started with a Caesar Salad and a white wine, a crab cake and calamari combo with another white wine, sweet corn stuffed ravioli with another white wine and then Australian beef with a lovely red wine. I was toasted by the time the chocolate cake and port showed up! :lmao:

The fires are pretty bad down here. Maddie and Evan stayed with Andy's sister last night and she's about 5 miles from the fire line. Thankfully there's a HUGE highway between her and the flames, so as long as there are no winds, they're safe. I was happy to pick up my babes and get them home, though.

2 MORE DAYS UNTIL SCHOOL STARTS!!! :dance3::woohoo::banana:

Hope everyone had a great weekend! :flower3:

Sometimes in the midde of winter I forget that we don't get Fires ,or tornados etc here in WNY!!!:worship:We just get BLIZZARDS!!!:lmao:

Hi Fockers!

I've been reading along but just no time for quoting and really...not much to day. Thanks for the Janet update. I hope she gets better soon.

But :wave2: to everyone and  to all who need them.

We didn't have a busy weekend, just spent it at home doing housework and homework. I have my keyboarding final tomorrow and a final math test. I think I need at least an 80-85 to pass with an A. I have a feeling I'm going to bomb it though. Way too much is cramed into my head for this one.

But after these two tests I am done for a few weeks before fall quarter starts. :yay:

I found this amusing tonight though when the ex called to talk with the kids. He knew Lindsey had started the 1st grade this past Wednesday and I *think* called and asked her how it went. I forget. :confused3 Anyway, he's talking with DR tonight and asked him if he ready for Kindergarten tomorrow. I bust out laughing because of the look on DR's face and him telling his dad that he doesn't start Kindy this year but is still only in preschool. I don't know if the ex forgot his son's age or just didn't realize it, but I found it funny.

That's about it in my world. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Lori- I guess your ex really "knows" the kids well, huh? :rolleyes1 The kids will pick up on his inattentiveness soon!

T- I love Marina del Rey! Some of my family lived in those white half circle condo's when I was a kid. I have very fond memories for watching out the windows looking at people in the yacht club, from my childhood.

The meal sounds yummy! Glad you are all safe. What a total bummer about the fires. Sad.

Jo- What holiday is it? That makes it a long weekend for you guys! Have a great day tomorrow.

No he's not coming home. Jimmy is there until next summer. I'm hoping we can fly him home for Christmas... but not sure yet. It is $$$. Ideally I'd like to go see him. I have even not planned our trip yet to WDW in hopes that I can go to Chile. Me giving up WDW this year... is a lot... but Jimmy is WORTH IT!

Rosie- We get tornadoes and blizzards. Yuck!

_______________

I'm still all mopey. Hopefully tomorrow we'll hear that Jimmy landed safely in Chile. Until then... I'm still really sad.

Weekend in review!

ROSIE worked a lot. She had the ‘end of the month’ tracking for expenditures to do. Lots of paperwork and such.

Hey, are you ready for vacation?;)

JO has a good friend who’s DH has some kind of nerve damage. They get a 3-day weekend due to a holiday on Monday. They aren’t sure what is causing it. She has asked for good thoughts and prayers. Jo has been cleaning windows. Jess is a little Focker. Jess tried to burn up the microwave. She also posted a funny about the swine flu: post #3097.

Prayers sent for your friend. So Jess has got the WDW-itis! HMMMM, very interesting.
The swine flu pic is too funny!
:cutie:

MO says Janet is better but will see a different eye specialist on Tue. She took Namath for his ultrasound. Murph was coming over to help with the planning on the vaca.

Please let us know about Namath. Thanks for the update on Janet. I hope you and Murph got some plans made.

DAWN was doing family stuff.

That's the best kind of weekend.

TE posted a code for BOGO on Crocs: post #3100. She bought a couple pair. She is enjoying football. BA will cheer on Monday.

I don’t do Crocs but that is an awesome deal. Tell BA I wish her luck for Monday.

KAT was going to see HP in IMAX and out to eat.

Yes, get out when you can. You’ve got lots of wonderful distractions where you live. Stay positive but keep looking at all your options.

CEL BEL is less than a week away from her DL trip. Her DFiancé might get called to fight fires south of the border which would be a disappointment. She has been a little depressed.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for your trip. It would be so much better with him there.

DEB and her DH did an indoor camping trip with 30 kids. She only got 3 hrs sleep. She had kids staying over on Saturday and Chi was staying at her sisters which left her with 6 kids total. The friend that was at WDW with them had her baby.

30 kids sounds exhausting. I’m sure it was fun though. You deserved a day to recover. Congrats to your friends!

JV’s brother left for a Chilean monastery yesterday. It is good work but she will miss him. He won’t be back for 10 months.

Big hugs for you!!! He is doing a wonderful thing!

T went to her bros 50th b-day party. She said there was booze. Wine seemed to be the highlight. Oh I think she said something about food too. She said the fires are bad. The kiddies start back to school this week.

I thought Peter Frampton invented the Wah-wah thing?? OMG, were you talking to Peter Frampton?

LORI has a couple of tests today. She is afraid she won’t do well on the math. She will get a break before the Fall courses start. Her EX doesn’t appear to know at what age kids start school or he doesn’t know how old his children are.
Good Luck on your tests!!! What your EX said is too funny.

************************************************************
Not much of weekend for me I'm afraid. By the time I got up Saturday it was already noon. I tried to go to sleep when I got home from work at 2:30am. No dice. Laundry, yard work, and a little on the packing front, not much else.

I hope everyone has a good Monday!

I thought Peter Frampton invented the Wah-wah thing?? OMG, were you talking to Peter Frampton?

That's what I thought too!

I, somehow, drank too much Saturday and started randomly texting people. I found T in my phone, so I got a lesson about the Wah Wah guitar inventor.

Great Update as usual Kistel!!! :thumbsup2Yes I am ready for a vacation!!!!:banana::banana:

Just got back from picking up a Costume for Kyle fo MNSSHP !!!:)He is gonna be Megatron!!:confused3I am not upon all these characters !!:lmao:

Morning Friends!

Kristel. Thanks for the update. I always think that I have read everything and have kept up but I always see something that I missed in your updates. I don't think I have slept til noon in 15 years! :rotfl:

++++++++++++++++

So I got 3 hours sleep at the camp-in on Friday. I drank caffeine all day to stay awake but then couldn't sleep Saturday night. I think i got 4 hours sleep Sat. Sunday we had friends over until 8 then I had to help my brother with his calculus homework. Then I had to do laundry. I think I got 5 hours sleep last night. Yep that is 12 hours over a weekend. I feel a little zombi-ish today.

Still waiting on our new boss...I think he is in HR filling paperwork or doing drug tests. I am exhausted from lack of sleep over the weekend and hope I don't make too bad of an impression today. It's lunch time and we are debating on eating our lunches we brought or if seeing if our new manager wants us to all go out....

UPDATE: My coworkers are eating at their desks so I guess that answers that question. Guess I am off to fetch my sandwich I brought. yummy

Hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Just popping in to ask for some prayers.

Namath's ultrasound was not good, it looks like a kidney is collapsing.

I was at the vet's for over 3 hours and now are waiting for the specialist to read the films and figure out what is going on. Should know more later today.

From what I understand dogs can live with one healthy kidney, just as humans do.

If he does need surgery I need to know when, if it has to be soon, I may be canceling my vacation to stay home and take care of him. I could not ask my mother to do that while I'm off in Florida having fun (plus how much fun would I have at that point)...

I am so glad to have internet access again! Thursday morning the computer kept sticking whist trying to turn on. So as I'm waiting for my computer guy, Mitch wants me to call HP to see if it's still under warranty. Turns out it is, for another week, but I was on the phone with them for 2 1\2 hours! :scared1: Of course nothing was resolved, but my computer guy tested it and told me exactly what to tell HP. I need a new mother board and have to send my computer back to HP to be fixed. It should be back to me within 9 business days. But I don't have to pay anything out of pocket so that's good.

 to Janet & Kat. And to Mo!

I missed you all out at Epcot Saturday. :goodvibes My dad got a call from Goofy for his b'day, and a Mexican dessert from San Angel. They are gone now and I can relax all by myself.
