KMart is having a pretty good sale right now. Lots of toys are on clearance and then an additional 50% off. I bought some stuff for my nephew who is arriving soon. I got $189 worth of toys for $56 plus a cute Pooh denim jacket for $5 that was $25.

I'm going to drink more wine and try to avoid Dawn's peer pressure. LOL

Do it...you kow you want too:rolleyes1

Am I the only one up this morning?

Yep!

I'm here too. I wanted to go to breakfast, but my practical boyfriend said he'd make some.

Nice!

================================================

Good morning all. The suitcases are airing out:yay: Leaving for Krazy CIty in a bit. Still have to shower. Jimmy was up at 8:00 and dressed wanting to leave! :faint:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Since the launch has been scrubbed, we're not going to the beach. Now I have no idea what we'll do, maybe a movie.

I just read about the launch being scrapped. Go to the beach anyway;)

Screamscape.com (don't know if anyone goes to this site or not) is reporting that WDW is going to demolish the skyway station in Tomorrowland. Wonder if they are going to put anything there? Scheduled to start late this month and be done before Space Mountain reopens in November

That would be fun, getting a new attraction that is. :goodvibes

Well bad news at home this morning. The restaurant that Erich has worked at since 2005 is closing, they all got called in this morning and given the news. So he is now without a job. He is getting his resume ready and he is going to go out and hand it out, hopefully he will get a new job quickly!

Mom is of course mad at "me" because I was helping him spiff up his resume so it looked more streamlined and pleasing to the eye. She was annoyed because she thought she should be doing that with him instead of me since she is his mother. I don't really see why it mattered who helped him. :confused3

It's only been empty for 10+years. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks Deb and thanks everyone :goodvibes

I am much better today !!:thumbsup2
Good but keep being careful

Maybe they washed them :eek::rotfl2:

My sister called us to meet them at dinner. As we're pulling out of the driveway, she called to say there was a 40 minute wait at the restaurant so they were just getting sandwiches. We pulled back in the garage. Now we're watching the Tour and drinking wine. :)
Oh dear, hope you still had a nice time!

That's becasue you are too busy playing golf:laughing:
True :rotfl2:

I think that the patio will be finished tomorrow! :woohoo: We will probably get the steps for the 2 doors done on Sunday. That’s when I’ll take pictures.
Yay and can't wait to see photos!

The kids will be home by next Friday or Saturday. :yay: That's about it for me. :grouphug: to y'all!
That's fantastic :yay:

I'm going to drink more wine and try to avoid Dawn's peer pressure. LOL
You obviously didn't drink enough :rotfl2:

Already closed and not visable :sad2:

I'm sorry, hope he gets something soon!

Busy day, cleaned like mad this morning and also nipped to the shops, then Em came with her famly for lunch and a play, then we had about 45 minutes to clean the house again before Jessica's party friends arrived. We're now off out for a meal, decided it was easier than a BBQ so may or may not be back later :goodvibes

Well Erich's unemployment was short-lived. He got hired at the first restaurant he went to, I am sure it helped that Alek works there. ;) Apparently they just hired him on the spot, didn't even ask to see his resume or anything just hired him because he was Alek's brother. That is a relief, he would have survived awhile with no job as he has a bunch of savings and school is paid for out of an investment account set-up by our grandparents but it is no fun not having a steady cash flow, I know as my first year and a half away at school I didn't work and it sucked having no money aside from what my parents but in my account every now and then. The restaurant business is really hurting in our town lately so he is very lucky. I am sure that some of his other co-workers will not be as fortunate. :guilty:

To celebrate we are having a pizza night and then going downtown to see the big fire show tonight that is part of the Busker festival. :thumbsup2

That's great Lessa but errrr do the employers know what your 2 brothers are like once they're together? :rotfl:

::yes:: THat site also had a rumor about a Monsters Inc COsater coming to DHS:confused3

Slow day in Fockerland!

Lessa- I feel bad for the restaurant that your bro's work at LOL. What do they do?

I had a great day. KC was off again. I was up early and watched Confessions of a Shopaholic (it was OK) and then KC woke up and said "get dressed we are going to Coney Island!" So off we went!

We took the bus and of course I took the camera.

It was kinda dark out, but we didn't get rained on and I remembered sunscreen so I'm not crispy either!

About a block from the boardwalk.

We ended up getting a platter or puerto rican food and a roasted ear of corn. Weird but yummy. I brought home candy apple too. it was a really nice day out.

Then we came home and watched "The Wackness". it was ok. KC liked it more than me.

The only other thing of note for today is that one of our friends canceled on the AC trip so I am scrambling to see if i can change hotels to save us some $. We are still going tho!

Well I am off to relax and read ("Sucker for Love" by Kimberly Raye)

You guys are too funny. I told them about your comments on them working together and they said to say that they act like that all the time, even when not together. ;)

I think Kat asked what they do? Erich at least at his "old" job worked line in the kitchen so food prep and Alek well he has been at Red Lobster since high school, I think 6 years now, he does a little bit of everything I think. :confused3

Happy Saturday my Focker Friends!! Aaahhhh...Saturday night...:cool1:

Haven't read the last few pages, but hope ya'll had a good day. Took M to order his new peeps and went to the pool for a couple of hours...Nice relaxing day....

I miss my hubby, don't get me wrong, but I'm selfishly enjoying this alone time. Ok, well, I'm not alone, exactly, but you know what I mean?

This evening I made a batch of taco meat for the week ahead and tomorrow I'll make a bunch of chicken and stuff and dinners should be good for the week.

I put M to bed around 9 and am watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with a peel-off masque on and a big glass of....iced tea. Can you believe it? :confused3 Me neither...but I did my drinking early and got it out the way!:rotfl2:

Here's a good mental picture for ya's...

So I pause the movie, go put this masque on - a little too thick - and go sit on the couch, watch the movie...drip...a little masque dripped on my chest. No biggie.

I decide to take a drink of my iced tea and bring the glass to my mouth and...

BANG!!

The ice cubes come flying at me, splashing iced tea all over my face, causing the masque to get wet and proceed to drip down my face. So, swearing like a sailor, I go and get a paper towel to try and dry the tea off me -

completely forgetting about the liquid cucumber proceeding to dry - until the moment the paper towel touched my cheek...

Right about now I must've looked like the female version of that idiot on American Pie that glues his hand...well, you know...:scared:

Ok, it was like glueing paper to my face...

Ahem...so anyway, I ended up letting myself dry out...my chest, now that the drippage has dried, looks like a super-peeling sunburn...and my face is starting to crack so I need to go peel...

But in between all this...I dug out....the binder....:yay:

Yes, THE binder...

IMG_0423.jpg

The binder that contains the most valuable information and paperwork I have....well, ok - I do have a box for the other important stuff...you know...the birth certificates...the marriage license...things you DON'T want to lose....coughcoughcough...:rolleyes1

Sorry - something stuck in my throat there...

This very binder I have not opened since I returned from our November trip. Perhaps for fear of juju...I don't know, but I finally opened it....

IMG_0424.jpg

Oddly enough, a sea of trip memories flash through my brain...and I can almost smell the hot dogs and french fries at Casey's...or the smell inside the POTC ride...

Am I'm so darn excited I can barely stand it...

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Now I'm going to get busy and go update my inventory list on the Owner's Locker website - I marked the list up as we packed in November so I'd know what was left...

IMG_0429.jpg

And so my friends, I'm off to peel...and to plan...:woohoo:

catch ya'll later!!!

Sure, so NOW y'all get chatty... :lmao:

Hi! I've read through, but didn't have the energy to quote.

We got up this morning a little late, and I did manage to do a bit of laundry and an Active workout before we left for the boat at around 11:00. Thankfully, day 3 is upper body, so between taking yesterday off and today's arm workout, I can sit down without pain! :cool1: :rotfl2:

Anyway, we had a nice day on the lake. It clouded over and got pretty windy, though, so we actually got off the lake before dark and so on. But then D took an hour to clean the boat off. He seems determined to not get home before about 11:00. :rotfl:

We are going back up tomorrow - with my dear tennis friend with the girl twins - and that should be a blast. :goodvibes

D was originally supposed to be gone from Mon-Thursday, but then that trip got cancelled. I was a little sad :rolleyes1 :rotfl: (LL, I know EXACTLY what you mean...) but today on the boat, he got a call and someone called in sick and he's back on. So, I can handle three days on the boat if I get the rest of the week off. :rotfl2: It's a week from tomorrow that we head up to the rental house for a week (family comes in on Thursday the 23rd.)

Anyway, that's what I've been up to.

Um, a few things, since I did read:

Deb, so sorry. Glad he's gone.

Rosie, glad you're doing OK, but take it easy. :)

Jo, tell David a happy belated birthday from us!

Lori, glad the kiddos are almost home!

Mel, glad Bob's almost home! :)

S'late, don't want to think about used diapers. :rotfl:

Lessa, glad Erich's unemployment didn't last long. :)

And everyone else, please know that I did read everything, but I am tired, stinky, and still needing to do more laundry before we're gone again all day tomorrow. :rotfl:

Oh, and I think we broke the dog. He jumped off the boat yesterday after D (he's becoming really ridiculously worried when D's in the water) and then wandered around a rocky island for a while. D lost track of him, and Linus took off for the shore of a bigger, inhabited island. D had to swim after him, I had to swim out with the leash... It got pretty hectic and crazy. Anyway, Linus normally has a curly tail - we think he's part http://kimbug.com/images/shibainu.jpgShiba Inu

and after the big swim (he does use his tail as he swims) his tail has been much more German Shepherd, which he is also supposed to have in him. :lmao: We think he sprained it and can't hold it up. Poor dog, but he can move otherwise, so hopefully it will heal up.

I hope you are all having a great weekend, too! :grouphug:

OK, I"m doing planning. Which side of Innoventions has all the new cool stuff (Waste Management, etc) East or West.
Errr can't remember :rotfl2: But some of the new stuff is meant to be awesome and definitely worth taking the time to do!

I had a great day. KC was off again. I was up early and watched Confessions of a Shopaholic (it was OK) and then KC woke up and said "get dressed we are going to Coney Island!" So off we went!
Looks like a great day Kat, is the place a bit run down or is that the look?

And so my friends, I'm off to peel...and to plan...:woohoo:
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Jo, tell David a happy belated birthday from us
Thanks CE!

We think he sprained it and can't hold it up. Poor dog, but he can move otherwise, so hopefully it will heal up.
Awww bless him :rotfl2:

I forgot to tell you all I lost my golf match on Friday :sad1: I played well though and better than I'm meant too it was a good match so I can't really complain!

The sleepover went fine, the girls are all gone now. They didn't keep me awake but I'm shattered for some reason. I did wake up to find 2 of the girls had drawn all over themselves and thank fully didn't get any on my sofas. But I did think it was a bit rude going in my drawer and taking the pens :confused3 also one of the pens was my expensive caligraphy pen (one that does fancy writing) but it looks fine thank goodness!

The girls have their youth group BBQ in a little while, parents can go too but they don't want us too, yep we're loved :rotfl2: so we're going to go for a nice walk instead :thumbsup2

Have a really busy week this week, it's Ellie's last week at her school so she has lots going on. Monday is her show in the evening, Tuesday she's going bowling followed by BBQ and water fight. I'm playing in a golf cup followed by conference call and taking E to dancing. Wednesday is our anniversary and Jess is going into London to the Natural History Museum with the school, we then have to pick her up before going out for a meal. Thursday is Jess's Birthday and Ellie has her leavers disco in the evening. Friday morning is Ellie's leavers service then she has a sleepover party and Jess is going to a friends too. Then mid morning Saturday I'm dropping the girls at David's work before going to my friends golf course to play her invitation then we're all going (in separate cars) up to Suffolk to stay with my Dad. D is staying till Monday, me till the following Saturday and the girls for 3 weeks :faint:
