Oh  I didn't know that diet was involved
:rotfl: I wouldn't call it a diet - just changing how I eat. After lots of experimenting, I've figured out that my body really needs a good mix of carbs and protein. Too much of either just doesn't work. Now that I've found my ideal mix I'm finding that I just don't crave junk like I always have in the past. The other day I wanted a peanut butter cup. And I ate one. ONE CUP and I was satisfied! A couple months ago, I'd have easily downed three packages. So I'm not exactly restricting myself intentionally - just eating in a way that better fuels my body. :thumbsup2
We are all sitting around the conference table just conferring when out of the blue my manager says "Debra goes down to the shop a lot and cries to get her way" He says this not only to my coworkers but to the man who may possibly be my next manager!!! Needless to say I was
I would be LIVID.:mad::mad: That's beyond inappropriate and borders on harassment.
So anyway tomorrow is his last day. I bought him a card a week ago and wrote how I am going to miss him, he has been a great boss, a great friend, etc. But I just don't know if I can give it to him now
That's a tough one. I think I'd probably split the difference and give him a card/note simply wishing him well in his future. You're right - you don't want to burn bridges.

They seem to vary, but on the "medium" level and doing the 30 day challenges, they seem to run about 25 minutes. I would normally say that is not enough exercise, but my bum would tell a different story.
Yep, ITA, lol! I moved up this week to 30+ minute workouts and I'm really feeling it. :faint:
So, that was fun, but I really, really can't move now. I tried to bend over to pick up a ball, and it just hurt.
Oh no! :rotfl:

V, my BIL is an FSU fan so he's teaching Reid what an alligator says. Help, help.
:scared1: Clearly I need to start spending some quality time with Reid. ;)

V: Congrats on the weight loss
Thanks Z! :goodvibes

Feeling a little better !!!!
Yay, I'm glad Rosie!

V you are very smart and a great mom!! I had a deadbeat mom. I’m glad I had a father who was smart and caring. Your right it isn’t fair but we turned out OK. Now get to work on that planning, missy!
Thank you! I'm getting there, lol!

The more the merrier!! V - this is a great city to take a Gramma-cation!!
 I just need to get over my last solo drive to/from ATL. It was BAD. It's a solid 8 hours from my house under normal conditions; that trip happened to be during UF's Homecoming weekend and I got stuck in Gainesville traffic for 2 hours. I literally could not drive any more and pulled off to a hotel with Leo for the night, which made me miss work the next day. :headache:
Ditto. I'm going to be...busy...that day....
 You guys are silly!
Looking forward to a vacation...M and I are anxiously awaiting our departure...
Me too, me too! :yay:

So the biggest news of the day is.... we are going to disney!!!!!!!!!
Hooray!

OMG, I just noticed I passed 10,000 posts
You've always been our chattiest. ;)

Can you guys give me an idea of where I should look for ADRs for a dinner for two? Where would you go on a date night?
Off site.

:lmao: Sorry, I'm still bitter about Disney Dining! Here's the thing - excepting Bistro I've yet to find a place that's quiet and "romantic." But these are ones I've hit for romantic-ish meals...

CA Grill at sunset
Jiko
Narcoossees
Bistro de Paris
Artist Point at sunset

I haven't been yet, but I suspect Citricos would be a good choice, too.

Click and Clack (Car Talk) said it couldn't wait...should have been replaced at 60,000 miles.
 You called Click and Clack and didn't tell me?! When? I download the podcasts! And yeah - it's a miracle his timing belt hasn't just blown mid-trip yet... that one's a biggie. And expensive, but it'll gain you many more years and miles. :thumbsup2

So, I decided to book a surprise Bday trip from K's Bday...

I booked SSR for the two of us for 3 nights. The plan is to spend Thursday wherever K wants to go, but Friday at Epcot for the Food & Wine festival. We've never been to F&W, but I've always wanted to go.
This will be our first trip alone in over 13 years. :yay:

Any suggestions for F&W?

Forgot to update me!

Wait, there's nothing to update. :rotfl:

It's raining. AGAIN. It's been all day, every day this week. Not FL summer weather at all. But it is at least keeping my AC from working so hard.

TGIF Fockers! :yay:

HOLY CROW it's early!

I think I'm turning back into a human!!!!!!!!!

Funny Story:
Last night around 12:30am-ish I am lying down to go to bed and we hear the girl's dog upstairs barking because someone door. I make a flippant comment about a booty call...about ten minutes later KC asks me to mute the TV and we hear the bed upstairs creaking against the floor!!! We were hysterical laughing. I said the only thing better would be if in a few minutes the door opened again and the person left....5 minutes later we hear the squeak of the door open and close!! it was too funny. I know way more about my neighbors than I ever wanted to know.

Cleaning today, the reg weekly stuff. Esp. since I neglect most of it during the week. I really wanna just sit and read but thats not a good idea until after the cleaning is done. And today I must have some ice cream! I want a chocolate cone with crunchies from Mr. Softy. :goodvibes

Anywho...off to tip toe around while KC stays sleeping.

OK I am ditching the old report because it changed too many darn times.

I am officially pimping my newest report linked in my siggie.

I swear I am off to clean now. Really.

I like the idea of just getting snacks all the way around the world. That way you get to try many different ethnic dishes YUM!

I know I need to do something (both diet and excercise). We watch a lot of tv at night and I was thinking of getting a treadmill or elliptical machine to do while we watched tv. Our Wii is downstairs and I just don't know how disciplined I will be to go downstairs every morning or night. Plus there is like CE said, fighting with the kids over the Wii LOL!

But then again the treadmill will take up a lot of space, and I risk the kids playing on it and breaking it or getting hurt. Plus it just seems it would get boring after a while.

I would be LIVID.:mad: That's beyond inappropriate and borders on harassment.

Thanks V, LIke I said, we kidd around a lot in this office and I can take it as well as dish it out. It just bothered me that he said that in front of company. I have an update on that as well * see below*

DH's car has been in the shop since Wednesday and we just got word we won't get it back until Monday :headache: New timing belt.
Yikes!

It's Friday:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: and I din't kill anyone:woohoo::rotfl:
What are everyone's plans for the weekend?
Krazy Kats seems cool. We don't have one of those. Congrats on not killin anyone :rotfl:

 That was totally inappropriate for him to say. I'm glad he apoligized, but I can see how you would still feel awkward:hug:
Thanks

Yikes. Sorry.
Thanks CE

Nothing new from me just work work working.

I'm just now getting off work and gonna go have dinner w/ Yani :D

Anyway have a great night everyone!
Hi Z!

I'm on hold... Anyone know if you can fly with two different carriers and use ME? :confused3
I didn't know the answer but it looks like you got it figured out :thumbsup2

I'm going to disney!!!!!!!!!![/COLOR]

Update on the boss situation...

Yesterday, right after I posted here he comes over to my desk and asks if everything was ok. I said yes, He then says I just want to make sure we are ok about what I said on Wednesday. I (thinking he meant the remark about me crying to the guys in the shop) said "Don't you mean Tuesday?"
And he says "No, what I said yesterday, about Omicron. I would just feel that I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't let you know that you need to watch what they say"

So, he is just going to gloss over this whole thing about what he said about me to the man they were interviewing to be my boss, and yet he keeps bringing this thing up about what my 5 year old son said to him two freaking years ago!!!!! :sad2:

I told him to please drop it and said that we were fine. If he brings it up again today I think I might explode!!!!

In other news...he did bring donuts this morning and gave me his wife's brownie pie recipe that I absolutely LOVE! When he gave it to me he said "notice it is my own handwriting, my wife made me write it out by hand" I just laughed cause I knew that meant he got into trouble again for what he said.

I decided to rewrite the card (I had an extra blank one LOL). I feel better about it now as long as he doesn't bring it up again.

Another note... we are possibly going to 6flags tomorrow. Not really excited about it. They have good coasters but for a disney fan it just doesn't measure up as a whole. I remember last year watching their employees load people in the most inefficient manner possible and going absolutely nuts in line!

I just checked out the line up for music during the F&W festival and I'm SO EXCITED!!! It's Big Bad Voodoo Daddy! Kirt LOVES them! :woohoo:
 Saw them at Atlantic Dance back in the day - it was great!

Hi Janet!

FWIW, that's exactly what I do - watch TV on the treadmill. I like TV. I don't like running. If I can get into a show, I sort of forget I'm exercising, lol! Mine folds up and I keep it in a corner, rolling it out when I use it. Leo's grown up with it around and knows it's off-limits to him, plus I keep it folded up and unplugged so that doesn't worry me.
"No, what I said yesterday, about Omicron. I would just feel that I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't let you know that you need to watch what they say"
Oh no he didn't?! :headache: Unbelievable. But I think you handled it beautifully! :cool1:
I remember last year watching their employees load people in the most inefficient manner possible and going absolutely nuts in line!
:rotfl: I'm the opposite at Busch Gardens, where everything is loaded soooo much more efficiently than WDW's methods!

Well now, that just sounds so appetizing:rolleyes:
Hey are you dissing my cake? ;):rotfl2:

I came home from work early just not feeling well !! Some pain in incision area kept me up last night and I may just be over tired !! No fever but just feel "blah"
Gonna relax and Dis !!
Hope you're feeling better today

Today was just awkward to say the least.
I'm glad he kind of apologised but what's with the Omnicron stuff?

These are the Vinyalmations I got KC yesterday.

wod006.jpg

My CM one isn't open it's just a tin with a sealed up bag in it, so I figured I wouldn't bother with a pic.

These are some of the little things we won during Traditions for the little contests we did. They are on the shelf above my pc.

I'm glad he kind of apologised but what's with the Omnicron stuff?
My boss is of filipino descent but he is american and has no detectable accent - just looks filipino. Omicron came into my office about two years ago and looked him straight in the eye and said "How can you be my momma's boss if you don't even speak English?"
To which my boss said "I do speak English"
and Omicron added "I can't understand what you are saying"
I apologized profusely. He laughed about it and said it was ok. He then repeated the story (to other people) over the last two years about a dozen times and laughed about it every time.

And everytime I apologized again.

And everytime he would assure me it was no big deal that he thought it was funny.

Apparently he kept that in his back pocket so to speak, so that he could use it for when he scrwd up and said something that he shouldn't have.

Just some pics from this morning.

Kat - I absolutely  this!

I hate to keep venting here but I don't know where else to go. I am so upset right now my hands are shaking.

My boss just announced this to me and my coworkers for all to hear

"BTW Debra, when I was hired, the owner gave me the option of firing you on the spot and start over with a new department or to keep moving forward with you"

He has less than 3 hours then he will leave this place forever. I dont understand why he is telling me this now and why he would do so in front of my coworkers!

Oh, Deb  What is this guy trying to prove??? Just keep your head down and your eyes on the clock. Hang in there...the day will end soon.

OMG!!! Is he happy about his new job? Because it sounds like he's miserable and trying to bring you along on the misery train with him!:hug::hug: Like Kate said, only a couple hours... avoid him like the plague... think comforting thoughts... you'll get through it...

And I can guarantee he sounds like an idiot to everyone else, too. So I wouldn't even worry about how anyone he's spewing to is taking it. :thumbsup2

No, he is not happy about the job per se- he is taking a pay cut, going from engineering manager to just plain ol' engineer. But he will have better hours, better benefits, and closer to home. Basically his wife is making him take the job LOL!

And please tell David happy birthday from your American friends :goodvibes

Quick drive by post, just wanted to say I hope everyone is having a great afternoon, I am so sorry Debra that he is treating you like that  .

He talked about how your son needs to watch what he says then says bad things to you in front of co workers :confused3, what an idiot. Thank goodness he is almost gone.

Do you think you're going to have to do some damage control with your new boss? This one sounds mighty bitter....and you're catching the brunt of it.
