That is the same tooth my DS is working on! Very fun! So what is the fairy bringing? How long did it take to fall out...my ds has been loose for a few weeks now.

LOL, that's what it felt like, too! Yep, jsut day camp. And I'm going in to work later than usual, getting out earlier MWF to spend some time with him these 2 weeks, since horse camp is from 9-3:30

BAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! Listen, our power's going to be off from 8a-5p tomorrow for undergrounding utilities... I'm FREAKING about the fridge full of dairy!!!

And it really helps that you live near the ocean so Leo can be scared he'll be attacked by sharks.

Think he'll get in the ocean again? I was afraid of pools after that movie!

Okay, here's the scoop... Leo says he wasn't scared by Jaws. But he did have a lot of questions about our beach:
Leo: Mommy, do we have sharks at our beach.
Me: Um, well, yes, yes we do. But not great whites, like in Jaws.
Leo: What kinds?
Me: (gulp) Nurse sharks - they don't bother people...
Leo: What else?
Me: Uh, bull sharks. Tiger sharks. Black tip, white tip, Makos, Hammerheads...
Leo: Do they bite people?
Me: Weeeeell..... um, yeah, sometimes. But lots and lots of poeple go to the beach all the time and don't get bitten by sharks!
Leo: Mmm hmm. I'll stay in the pool.

Not that there's any great loss - the child HATES sand, so we don't get to the beach much in the first place. Plus, we really do have sharks around here and I have a policy of 'I won't bother you if you won't bother me' that translates into no swimming in the Gulf.

I survived Walmart.

If your Walmart is anything like my Walmart, surviving it is nothing short of a major accomplishment under any circumstances!

Yea, why do you live there again? My friend L wants us to move down...can we do that for only half a year, then go some where colder for the rest of the year??

Ask me agin in January! Yep, summering up north and wintering down here is the way to go.

OK listen...I"m pricing Christmas airfare. And for real people...I will be paying per person what I normally pay for both Jon and I round-trip.

OMG Jen, I'm in the same boat. I have a SWA credit from my canceled Buffalo trip. Was going to use it for a trip to visit family in Baltimore, but fares for 12/27 - 12/31 are DOUBLE my credit! if they don't go down, I'll wind up eating that money.

It is going to go down to 60 tonight. I will be able to turn of the air .

My old home...that I loved:

1900 sq. feet...4 bedrooms, 2 baths. Payment was $900/month. I am now homeless...living with my motha...still with no job. Yay for me.

Now, remember that prices and costs of living vary a LOT across the state, but here in the Clearwater area (west of Tampa), I bought my condo just before prices started to escalate at $127,000. 3 bdrm, 2 bath, 1690 sq. ft., 2 reserved spots in the carport, eat-in kitchen, wet bar, pool 20 ft. away. Last year, before the bubble burst, similar units were selling for $300,000. Now they're down to a list price of $160,000.

The tooth fairy brings $5 for the first tooth and $1 after that. She always takes the tooth and leaves sparkly dust on the money and on the cheeks of the tooth loser. It's very exciting.

Yep! the entire Tampa Bay metropolitan area is relatively affordable. But. the killers are the property taxes coupled with insurance. My monthly maintenance fee is $375, most of which is building insurance. Another $700/year for contents insurance and $2200 in property tax. No state income tax, though... which translates into crap schools, so $700/month for private school. Hence, the live-in motha!

Let's see...Dr. Hottie is a dud. Turns out...and this is my woman-sense talking...that he appears to be in love with his best friend..."Pilar."

He swears up and down that he's not...that he liked her a long time ago...but I spied on him...on his myspace page. And he's totally in love with her...you can tell from their banter with each other. She is with someone else...but he is so clearly head over heels for her that it's sad.

I told him so just last night...when we went out again. I said: "You're in love with Pilar. You seem like a funny guy, and you'd be a great friend. but, I don't date guys who are in love with other girls."

he kept swearing that he wasn't...but I can tell.

but, honestly...that's not the reason I don't want to be with him.

He's boring...and I mean really boring.

I need laughter...and enlightening conversation...and a spark...It's like talking to a freakin' pocket protector. The tats and piercings are a lie. He's not the least bit interesting.

Darn it...because I really wanted to date a doctor.
