Anyway, hope everyone's having a nice, sunny Monday heading into our long weekend! I just found out THIS MORNING, that it's going to be a longer weekend than I though...the daycare place where Michael stays during the day posted a notice on the door JUST THIS MORNING that they'll be closed on Thursday. Nice huh? She pulls this carp all the time...I'm NOT HAPPY... Sooooooo, I either bring Michael to the jobsite with me Thursday or lose a vacation day...

So I'm thinking about what I'm gonna do...

I've got nothin' yet...

I HATE VERIZON!!!!!! 35 minutes on hold to dipute some crazy charge on my bill and the guy has the nerve to say I made the calls that resulted in the charges.... HOW can that be when NO ONE was home at those times? "Well ma'am, you must have because the charge is on your bill." Me: "So you're telling me that Verizon has never made a mistake in billing? Ever?!?!
"I'll remove those charges this one time as a courtesy."


AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

They don't even train the idiots to say "I'm sorry" when a mistake's been made any more.

I HATE CS calls...I really despise calling those place, what a pain in the tukus! They always have to give you a hard time before they credit you, which they are going to do eventually they just need to torture you a bit!

Well I just got talked into working another shift at my part time job from 4 - 11 So I will probably not be back today!! Jo Flat Rosie is on her way!!!

OH they are trained my dear... But NOT TO APOLOGISE... THEY ARE NEVER WRONG OR AT FAULT

We HAVE to Deal with Verizon Daily in our business. They believe they are above the FCC LAWS.. ALONG WITH AT&T. They should have been left as a Local provider but NOOO... Now they are allowed to do LD and are IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK WITH. They deliberately slow down orders that would take away their revenue making the customer mad and I believe their plan is that if the customer gets mad enough they will forget moving and blame the place they were moving to.

Customer service... YEAH .. That's a JOKE TOO. One of our customers was on hold she said 2 hours only to be told that she needed another department , said they would transfer.. but all she got was disconnected.

There is a running joke in "telecom" that AT&T is the "POPE" and Verizon is a CARDINAL".. and they are the only ones to have because they are the best.
Not my joke... Telecom Industry. They are the hardest companies to deal with.

Sorry V... Yes they do make mistakes... they just do not admit it...

Now here is a possibility ...what could have happened. Lines in bad weather can cross.. and someone CAN make a call ON YOUR LINE.. and they not even realize it. Or a Verizon tech accidently crosses the lines at the street and someone gets on your line. You pick up the phone.. and WHOA someone is talking on it. Happened to us twice. Not sure if done by a tech or the weather.

This will probably be my last post till I'm home and safely plugged back in but I wanted to reply to you Jen.

You are doing the right thing. Jon is just doing what you do with us. He just needs you to hear him and hug him. Making hard decisions for our kidlets is what we HAVE to do. You are his rock and you're going with him....
Maybe if you can think of a creative way for him to keep in touch with Lilo. Email? Instant messenger? Maybe even cell phone. You can add a line to your acct. for pretty cheap. He doesn't need to carry it on his person, you could still control the phone (keep it with you except for his scheduled "lilo calls"). You can buy a used cell on ebay (we got one for my youngest for about 13 dollars!) I'll even tell you how to call your cell provider and have it set up. My dh does this ALL the time.

for you anyway. It's no fun to make the big decisions. You know we're here for you!!

This can't be an easy decision, Jen. I could go on and on about WHY moving yourself and Jon is the right thing to do, but I'll spare you and tell you what I tell my boys...The right thing to do is almost always the hard thing to do.

Now for what might be a silly question: Can Lilo move with you? I know it couldn't happen until you get out of your mom's place, but is he in a position to go, too?

Lilo will not move with us...I begged him to come because I can't stand to have him alone. BUT...he's a stubborn old fool. And my mother and his divorce was NOT pretty. He doesn't want to be in the same city as she...even if there are a million other people here. But, we're not far...and can visit often.

Oh Jen! Of course you're doing the right thing; I think I know you well enough by now to be certain you've weighed every possibility and found this move to be the best course for you both. I love Mel's ideas about wyas to stay in touch. Will they also be able to visit reasonably often? Change is hard, but Jon is learning the skills to cope with it - good stuff for later on in life.

You're right...a wonderful way to teach. I just can't get over being so darn protective...

You are doing the right thing Jen, Jon needs to be near good hospitals and if the schools are better too, that's even more reason! As others have said could Lilo move too? Also could you set up webcams or skype so Jon can see his Lilo whilst he talks?

I'm not feeling chatty much the last few days. Today is my last day to have solid food for the week. My friend and I are going to lunch with the kids for my last hurrah. I've been so sick to my stomach, I probably won't enjoy it anyway.

Jen first a big and have a to help put a smile on your face. There is no doubt this will be hard on you and your son. You are both leaving your home and even though you are moving close to your mom you are leaving behind others that you love. I know you gave this move a lot of thought and you know that your son's health is the most important thing. He needs to be closer to the hospitals and he will adjust. I also wonder if Lilo can make the move once you are set up in your new home. If not lots of phone calls, letters, and pictures will help ease the transition. You and your son are very brave for taking on this new adventure.

Hey, nothing wrong with brown - I love my brown suit! Congrats! My friend Char went swimsuit shopping last week... only to find that they're ALL GONE! That's right, it's 90 here and will be for the next 4 months, but the stores have all switched to wool sweaters and knee-high leather boots.
