I was thinking about taking Dad to Lewis Gale last week, but mom took him instead. I may take him on his next visit and maybe we can "do lunch" or something! HIs doctor was very concerned about his recent pneumonia scare and said it was caused by Remicaid--he wants him to think about stopping the treatments, but he would be disabled quickly without them. hard decision.

How's your son doing now?

Pup is sleeping now---he got up only at 2 and 6 so that's an improvement.

HE is still a little edgy... but the fact he is home is helping. He woke up grumpy today leading me to worry about the day.

THis Pup is like a flash back to babies in the house again Huh ??
Hmmm didn't we have a conversation along those lines a few weeks back:laughing:

Tough spot with your Dad... stop the "Remicaid" and let The RA take over his body... Or take a chance of "Sepsis" coming back.:hug:
Would not want to make that decision.

Looks like Florida is preparing to Jo.

On International Drive they are going to put a "Giant Wheel" ( like that road needs anything else) much like the "London Eye"
It will be around 500 feet high and the compartments will hold up to 40 people.

America just wants you to feel like you are still close to home while you visit us "Yanks".. uh even though Florida would definately be "The South" :goodvibes

So comming soon ( in a year or so) here she is....

Well, I think I finally made it out of my Disney time warp and am back to normal(if you can call it that) after our trip.

I met Mel!:hyper: It was so much fun to get "Fockered" in Disney! :)

Our trip was fun, lots of rain, lots and LOTS of crowds...not as magical as past trips but still good overall.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Jill

WELCOME HOME!!! :hug:

Good morning, Fockers. :goodvibes I'm up way too early this a.m. Who wakes up at 6 on a Saturday? :confused3
Anyway, K took us out to dinner last night. I appreciated the time to sit and enjoy yummy food and my family. Once we got home and got the kids in bed, K was on a cleaning kick! Wow! He cleaned the shower, the bath tub, mopped... :faint: I guess he really did mean it when I was upset the other night saying I was worried the house wouldn't get cleaned and things wouldn't get done before the surery since I wasn't feeling well. I felt so bad that he would have to do all these things I normally do (clean, groceries, etc.) but he said, "Well, is it fair that you normally do these things with no help? I can do them for a few weeks." :lovestruc What a man... :lovestruc

So, now I'm waiting for my kids (and Kirt) to wakey wakey so we can go have breakfast at K's mom's restaurant. I love me some big breakfast. :hyper:

Have a relaxing Saturday. :goodvibes

Awwwww...that's sweet. Now...do you hire him out? ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our weekend is starting off with a bang. OK...maybe not. I slept until 8:30! :faint: Which...come to think of it...I don't think I've done since I gave birth!
Today...we were going to go to the zoo...Jon and I and my nice, but it's gloom and doom out. So, I think we're going to do putt-putt indoors.
Other than that...nada.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! :teeth:
:rotfl2: That was hysterical! (and for the record, my goats do not have thingies that big, actually they don't have them at all cause we cut them off!)
I did not need the "thingies" at all. I have never heard a goat make sounds like that.
Welcome back!!
Happy Saturday Fockers! :wave2:
Went to see Wall-e last night, and I have to admit I loved it! Wall-e is such a freakin' adorable character! :lovestruc
Here's a mini-TR of our evening last night:
We left our house about 4pm for a 7pm showing. Since I wasn't sure exactly how bad Friday night traffic would be, it gave us plenty of time for parking, dinner, shopping, etc.
Yeah, I was right about the traffic:
wall-e001.jpg
Ooh, lookie smoggy Downtown LA:
wall-e002.jpg
Surprisingly it only took about and hour. We parked at the Kodak Theater (home of the Academy Awards) and walked around the new shopping complex. We were all hungry so we stopped at California Pizza Kitchen, the place where they Californify pizzas. :lmao: Andy got the Buffalo chicken pizza, Evan got the pear and gorgonzola pizza and Maddie and I both had pasta dishes. The food was wonderful!
Next we headed to "The Boulevard of Broken Dreams" - NOGreenDay. We walked around Hollywood Blvd. checking out the sights and feeling alot like tourists. We rarely head up this way, so we had fun exploring.
Here's Maddie and Evan outside Grauman's Chinese Theater. (The WDW version in MUCH cleaner)
wall-e003.jpg
We headed across the street to the El Capitan and the Disney Studio Store and Soda Shop. The kids both got remote control Wall-e and Eve and then we got inline for our 7pm showing.
wall-e004.jpg
Andy and Evan took off for the potty and Maddie and I people watched. This couple walked up to the box-office and then I spied this guy carrying his MURSE!!:rotfl2: I still despise the murse!
wall-e005.jpg
Before the movie was a cute little Disney stage show with tons of characters, dancing and music. The movie was wonderfully funny and actually had a very important message which I think V would appreciate. ;)
Andy was tired, so I drove home and I asked him to take a few shots of the theater as we drove past. Here's what I got: :headache:
wall-e008.jpg
Uh, honey, you have to put the window down if you're going to use the flash. :lmao:
A few shots of the kids in theater:
Loved the pics T!
Katt- Kc is gonna check into the software today 4 u...
Has everyone heard about them closing PI??????????????? I am a HUGE fan of the Adventurers Club and I am really upset they are closing!!!!!!
~~~~~~~~
Just poppin' in quick while KC stretches his legs (he's working from home).

We got home late last night (we ended up going to the diner before heading
home from the in-laws).

Got our laundry picked up this morning and gave away a lamp (freecycle.com) and got invited to the city for drinks tonight. I can't decide if I wanna go?! I still wanna pull everything out of the cabinets and clean them out too (the above waist stuff we didn't get to) and we need to get some groceries. I dunno. We shall see.

How is everyone else doing this lovely Saturday????

I found an online petition for saving The Adventure's Club! It's in my siggie...sign it if you can! I love that place and really would hate to see it go!

I am looking forward to chatting. But then again.. I wonder if you will be able to undertsand me and Visa Versa :lmao: This could be a hoot.
It sure will be :rotfl2:

Yes Jo.. Your Special :smokin:
Awww thanks :rotfl:

JO: I delivered your hug to Katt. She needed.
Thanks Mel, sounds like you're having fun :goodvibes

We came home and Jimmy skated (sort of) for about an hour before the rains came. He didn't do too badly for his first time ever on skates:thumbsup2
Sounds promising :thumbsup2

I have to get my Flat Rosie done this weekend if I'm to go to Lowestoft next month!!:lmao:
Get your skates on Rosie :rotfl2:

Well, I think I finally made it out of my Disney time warp and am back to normal(if you can call it that) after our trip.
Welcome home Jill, are you doing a TR? If so post the link so we can all read :goodvibes

but he said, "Well, is it fair that you normally do these things with no help? I can do them for a few weeks." :lovestruc What a man... :lovestruc
I'm so pleased he's doing all of that for you, take it easy :hug:

Really? :rotfl2: We went on the Eye a few years ago, we had a gorgeous day and could see for miles, I'll try and find the photos if anyones interested?

Today...we were going to go to the zoo...Jon and I and my nice, but it's gloom and doom out. So, I think we're going to do putt-putt indoors.
Have fun Jen :goodvibes

I did not see TE post this or anyone else...
This goat is funny. "Talking Goat" ??
OMG so funny, it really sounds like he's (and we all know he's a he :rolleyes1 ) saying what :lmao:

:rotfl2: That was hysterical! (and for the record, my goats do not have thingies that big, actually they don't have them at all cause we cut them off!)
I can remember :eek: :rotfl:

Here's a mini-TR of our evening last night:
Sounds lovely T and OMG Maddie is looking so grown up!

I still wanna pull everything out of the cabinets and clean them out too (the above waist stuff we didn't get to) and we need to get some groceries. I dunno. We shall see.
Do I have to tell you to take it easy too Kat? Watch your back Missy!

Well we've had a really busy day, just sat down for the first time and it's after 9pm. We had Jessica's golf lesson this morning then we had the Church Fun Day which was held in the grounds of our local Castle (literally opposite Ellie's school) which went on for hours, it was good fun though with medieval re-enactments etc, I helped on some stalls. Then we had to get Ellie ready for a sleepover party, she's going to her BFF who lives next door and there are 6 of them sleeping in a tent in the garden, the parents are sleeping in the lounge to make sure they're OK, but my ensuite window is right by their garden so they'd better not be noisy :rotfl2: Then after tea David, Jess and I went and played golf as it's a gorgeous evening :goodvibes

OK...whoever was responsible for me reading the "Twilight" books...you are in trouble. I'm supposed to be doing stuff. What I'm actually doing...is reading!

Punks.

Good evening FOckers. Sounds like everyone had fun days. We just got back from the Crayola Factory. It was fun, but not a place I feel the need to go back too=fun to do once:thumbsup2 I will post pics later.

Happy Saturday Fockers! Once again, I've lost my quotes. :headache:

T - thanks for taking us to WALL-E with you; that was fun! ;) I'm really excited to see it. Leo's with his dad this weekend and will probably see it with him, but I might take him again next weekend in WDW. :thumbsup2

Kat - you're not gonna like me.... fond though my memories of PI may be, I'm with WDW on this one, strictly from an economic viewpoint. It's not making money anymore, and FL's economy NEEDS money coming in. Sorry! That said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they find a way to keep AC a part of the new complex.

I finished my school paper this morning - yay! - and I've settled in on a maaaaaajah (said in my very best Posh imitation) project: making a photo book on Shutterfly for Leo, ages 0-5 years. It wouldn't be so challenging if the first couple yearts of his life weren't pre-digital photos. There's a whole lotta scanning going on...... :faint:

Holy Smackamole!! You guys can talk up a blue streak :scared1: I want to keep up, but I am not smart enough. I'll just pop in to say "hi". And to tell DisneyJo that you are my new favorite. My best Aunt is my Aunt Jo. She is a Disney fanatic. So in my head, when I read your posts, I hear her voice.

Sounds like the changes could be promising though. I don't think PI gets the traffic it did 10 years ago

Just get a water gun Jo. If they get too noisy just shoot them with the water gun:laughing:

Congrats with finishing the paper. :faint: at all the scanning

At any rate, apparently with her TA deal she could stay at Portofino Bay near Universal for free. Any thoughts? I had really had her talked into being on property, but for FREE... That's a tough call.

My sister used to work there and it's beautiful! And my favorite price is free so you may have to consider it. :)

You're lucky. I'm a horrible crank right now. My hormones are all outta whack from trying to take extra BCPs like the GYN said to stop the bleeding. But, it's no worky... :(

Hope you're feelin better today. :hug:

How cute!

Has everyone heard about them closing PI??????????????? I am a HUGE fan of the Adventurers Club and I am really upset they are closing!!!!!!

There was an article in today's paper. Disney says people want more eating & shopping, family style and not clubs. Out of all the family things available, they can't leave 8 clubs? :headache:
