Well, I was THINKING about being the 1st poster!

Got up every 2-3 hours last nite with the pup so my head is throbbing---he feels great however! He just inhaled his breakfast---he reminds me of a little vacuum cleaner sucking up all the food!

Ok cat question---remember I'm trying to get my cat onto canned food but she is not happy. REALLY not happy with the puppy either. At 6 am (yes, I was up), I fed her Friskies salmon and a little of her dry food. Now, I see she actually ate some of it (yeah!), but threw it up (boo). What's with that?

TE- Why are you changing from dry food to wet? Is it the same brand that she is used to eating in the dry version?

i heard ages ago about a harry potter park at universal. is that true? if it is, i'm with ya. that's the only thing that could get me away from disney.

The Harry Potter part of Universal will be open in 2010 I believe. I'm SO going!

We got home, got Jimmy ready for bed and put a movie into the DVD player. He watched 20 episodes of Bugs Bunny and at 1:00AM was still awake. HE finally crashed at about 2:00am

Jimmy doesn't like the ocean, the waves scare him and we didn't force him. He liked playing in the sand

Consider yourselves lucky - Leo doesn't like the ocean (well, Gulf) AND he's not a fan of sand on his toes.

So there's hope for Fockerfest after all?!

Andy just vetoed my plans. BUT he did promise the Poly for our adults only trip next year.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think this is for the best... IMNSHO, SSR doesn't hold a candle to the Poly. I say don't risk a mental comparison between the two on the same trip - that could spell the demise of any DVC purchase!

Sorry TE, I don't have any solutions, but my humongous cat who looks eerily like yours yaks on a regular basis - it seems to make no difference what I feed her. And wet food? Fuhgeddaboutit! She won't go near the stuff.

Yuck about the lack of sleep. Puppies are like new babies for a while, huh?

My cat throws up when she scarfs because we let the food bowl get low. She likes wet food, but I never give it to her. It's stinky. I think that wet food is much more full-flavored and rich than what they are used to, so maybe it'll take a bit for her to get used to it. Good luck!

Can you believe it?! My condo is literally 4.8ish miles from the Gulf. I do occasionally drag Leo to the beach anyway, and we actually have a nice time. I'm not into the water myself, given that I'm allergic to salt water, so we sit under the umbrella and read or talk. But I could happily do that all day... Leo's got a 1 hour time limit at the beach!

i need to start playing golf again, hopefully when the kids are a little older. i haven't played in ages, like 10 yrs!! i know, you're probably ready to arent ya!!

I only started playing again last year after a 14 year break It all came back pretty quick, it's just the chipping and putting that is still a problem!

A Flat Rosie is like Flat Stanley (the book) it all started when a TR Writer Winkers wanted to go on a trip with another TR writer and she decided to make a Flat Winkers, basically a picture of herself on a stick, the TR writer then took her to all the parks and did silly photos with her. There have been several other flats going on trips since Yes totally mad but good fun, if you have a spare few hours read the TR's by Winkers, Jordanyosh, blueeyedgirl and punkin!

Well you know yesterday I played golf like a lemon well you know in Epcot in the Living with the Land ride they have those 9 pound lemons well that was how I played today I lost, I think it was because I know she is so much better than me that I put too much pressure on myself I'm not a happy bunny!

Morning all. We are quite the busy house these days. Between this and actually needing to plan the trip I am busy. It is so much fun though. Hope all is well with everyone here. I have not yet went back and caught up. I wanted to post and say hi first.
I will get an adults only weekend this summer. My dd decided she would rather watch her db for a weekend for $50 than go to the beach for a weekend. Yay! I not only get to go to a hotel and relax with out kids for a night, I don't have to sit in the sand again this summer. Well unless I end up at the local beach . Where is the smilie trying to stay out of the sand. I need one.
Well I am going to go back and read up. Talk to you all soon.

The vet (and what I'm now reading on the net) said that for severely overwt cats, you need to switch to a low carb canned food cause the "lite" food I am using is too high carb---she will have diabetes soon if I don't.

Yeah--it's probably richer on her system. I think I may ask the vet today for the dry version of the diabetic food--it's only 13% carb and what I'm feeding her now is 40%. The net says to aim for under 10% (which is most canned foods without gravy) but I hate to make her sick.


Pup is sleeping under my feet now......peacefully....maybe I'll go back to bed!

Janet~ Looks like a great start to your weekend. I can't believe Jimmy stayed up so late. And then was up by 6:45

TE~ I had a cat that puked all the time. Usually in shoes. It was just part of her charming personality. We had another cat who only ate tuna straight from the can. He was a little spoiled. Then he fell out of our apartment window (we lived on the 7th floor in DC) and had to be hand fed for two weeks. We had to puree his food...no more tuna.

I digress...I would try mixing the two foods. Mostly dry with a bit of wet now, and then ween her off the dry a day at a time. Just a thought,

Morning Fockers! Jo I just told DD thismorning that I am taking another photo this week and going to Walmart so hopefully it will England bound next week !!
This morning I picked up Roses and ballons the twins graduate from 6th grade this morning. They told DD to bring tissues as she'd cry!!Can't believe they will be in Jr. High next schoolyear !! OK so I'm getting a little weepy my babies are growing up!!
