Good morning... I'm glad to see you girls kept up the chatter so I had something to read when I got home yesterday.

Katt- I felt the same disappointment and had a few good cries on our trip too. Enjoy the rest of your trip and don't stress too much.

Z- I'm glad you're back!

Everyone else- I read your posts, but I'm too out of it to remember everything I wanted to post on.

I had my pre-op stuff yesterday. First I went to the doctor and got all of my questions answered. Then her surgery lady talked me through what was going to happen and signed a bunch of consent forms.
Next, I was sent ot the hospital to do labs and pre-register. I saw three different people there- the computer lady, the blood lady, and the talk about the procedure lady.
Next, I headed a few doors down to donate my unit of blood to myself in case they need it during surgery. I was really nervous about this part and K's dumb jokes weren't helping this time. I got through it by not looking and breathing slowly. That was a big stinkin' needle!!!

After I was done I went to get the kids from VBS, and went home to nap. The rest of the day I wasn't feeling great. That's why I was MIA. Maybe today will be better.

Barbie Botoxville Update:

Well, you'll never guess who got fired today..... yuppers, Tour Guide Barbie. And you'll never guess who's taking her place.... yuppers.... ME! I got everything I asked for... 3 days a week (M-W), the salary I wanted & no problems for 2 weeks off in August- colour me HAPPY!!! I need a code for the Poly for 2 nights!!

OMG!! You'll never guess the faux pas I made today.... I accidentally called the doctor Dr. Botox!! Good thing she didn't hear me, but the other new girl did. She started giggling when I said that... I think I may have found a partner in crime.

So why did TGB get fired?

Slept most of the day. Got a phone call to go testing for a transfer I put in, so . I need to get out of my department, I'm hearing along the grapevine that a 21 y/o who has only been there 1 yr will be our new supervisor. Only in our messed up hospital does that happen. How can I respect someone who I trained and who I know more than. Just because she cried that she couldn't move up. Excuse me? Whatever it has become ridiculous.

I would be furious too Z. Hope the new job works out for you.!

so , i had a great time this weekend. we drank lots, played lots of games. we went to my inlaws to ride 4 wheelers and stuff. (they have like 10 acres of land and 2 ponds). well, my husband got the paddle boat and row boat out. well, me, aunt, niece (17yr) and her friend got in the paddle boat. well, my dog jumps in the water and swims to us in the middle of the pond. my overweight dog is trying to get into the boat and is tiring out from swimming. i'm scared she's going to drown, so i'm trying to get her in the boat. well, she gets in , but tons of water flows into the boat. i;m sitting in water, holding onto my 90lb wet dog. so my niece and her friend are trying to paddle, but the boat is tipped into the air, so we're not moving!!! we finally make it back to shore and thankfully i'm already sitting in water cuz i almost peed my pants from laughing. it was fun, but i was ready to get home and down an adult beverage, kwim?!!!

Remember how things were falling apart before we left ?... lets just say they kept going.How about losing all your pictures ??

YUP... either my camera or my memory card freaked out and I lost 5 days of pictures. Sara has a few.. but not copies of all.

Good morning all. Back to work today.

Jim is now on summer vacation, but I left him a GOOD honey do list IT includes, but is not limited to taking Tink to her 9:45 vet appointment, mow/weed the yard, change out the storm window for the screen on the front door, and I seperated all the luandry and left little notes with instructions on top of each pile. Let's see how much he actually gets done

She was seriously yelling at me.

Granted, I had on my Charleston LaCrosse t-shirt, primarily because I was cleaning the house yesterday and it's a good house cleaning shirt. But this lady was flipping and she thought little ol' me was in charge Finally I said "I'm just a parent."

So she grabbed her child off the field and shoved her in the car.

How did I miss seeing this? Yep. It's next Thursday. I'm supposed to be in the hospital for 2 days with the option of longer if I need it. No fireworks on 4th of July for me...

I forgot to take my BCP yesterday since I was out the door before 7, and now I feel yucky.

I have to figure out what I want my mom to do now. I know she'lll argue with me and want her own way, but I don't think I'll want her around when I have to start my "prep work" at noon the day before. They have me on a 48 hour liquid diet with no milk products before Thursday. I'm going to be really cranky by then!

okay , time for a crazy in law update---------------------------

last update.....my bil broke up with gf. so my dh is worried about him and drives over to his house (which my mil is paying for cuz he missed 2 payments). well, bil is not there, but ex gf's mom is!!!????
she tells my dh that bil went to cleveland with other brother to go to a concert. he has no money, no job, no phone, no liscense, missed 2 house payments, but is going to a concert? wth? . it's like madness all around. it's so weird , it's funny , kwim? i just feel bad for my dh. he's trying to have some sort of relationship with his brothers, but they make no effort at all. i just try to support him, but i feel like saying, why do you keep doing this to yourself? i guess i don't understand bc i'm an only child .


on the lighter side, i only have my 2yr old all week. my dd and ds (9) went to stay at my mom's for the week. it's about 3 hours away and they're having a blast. it's kinda nice to be able to pay complete attention to my 2yr old . he's luvin it!!!


hey janet, is your son starting kind. next year? is that the reason for no more day care?

I asked a few pages ago it's Vacation Bible Studies, it's every night during the vacation, not sure how long it lasts though?

VBS is vacatioin bible school (not studies, Jo! ) Different churches have it during the summer. it ususally stars at 4yrs old and is a week long. It also varies what time they have it. Ours is from 9-noon every day this week. Some churches do it in the evenings. I bet Jimmy would love it. It's free at most churches and the kids have a blast.

Weird. A finally got to go last year when he was 4-thank goodness! He wasn't happy that the girls got to go and he didn't. This is B's last year, so I guess she'll be hanging out with me next year. I can't believe she's in middle school now.
