Thanks for the concern girls. What a pain-literally! :rotfl2:

TE- I missed you! :hug:

ED- I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip, but I'm glad you feel good about it. It wouldn't be any fun anyway if yopu were upset about every dollar that was spent. :worried:

G-Luv- Yikes!!! :scared1: How scary! I'm glad you're safe. :cutie:

Lori- I'm Dawn. I'm a 34yr old SAHM who homeschools our three kids. A (DS5), B (DD11) and C (DD7). I'm having a hysterectomy on July 3rd, so that's pretty much all I talk about lately... :banana: Nice to meet you.

I had a bunch of quotes a while back, went to reply, and the power went off. It just blinked, but it took me a half hour to get the stupid modem to reset. :mad: D got home and took the boys off to swim, so I said I'd stay home and vacuum. So I have been. It's chucking it down, interspersed with thunder storms, so... (They are swimming in the indoor pool.)

Anyway, now of course I've forgotten all that I was going to quote, so I'll just say hey. :rotfl:

:worried: I guess not.

hope y'all are having a good time. You Certainly have filled up a lot of pages.

Hi`ya Katt!!! you shouldn`t be on the computer! you should be out in that Wonderful World of Disney!!! :hyper: :tinker:

Hey Kat, was it you who was recently watching Weeds? I just started watching it yesterday at work and you were right, it is hilarious!

Yep it was me! Funny show! i really didn't expect to like it so much!

Mini Date Report:
So, yesterday was my big afternoon (3 month later) birthday date from my SIL. She bought me tix for two to Spamalot. I was really excited to be going on a date with my hunny. I love musicals and operas, etc. I told K we should do at least one show each year. Just because I had kids and spend 24/7 with them doesn't mean I'm not my own person, right?

So, the show was so hilarious. I had my mouth hanging open when I wasn't laughing. :eek: I had no idea what to expect, so I was shocked at some of the things they actually said! :scared1: But it was so much fun.

Afterwards, we walked to the Riverwalk and decided to eat dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was a fun atmosphere, but the menu was only "eh". I had salmon and K had a bacon cheeseburger. I decided after reading how great pom drinks are to try a a Pom martini... or three. :lovestruc I was getting my buzz on (which I don't think I've done in months!) when we decided to leave.

We're walking the one block to our parking garage when we have to stop because this lady is inching her way out of her parking lot and into traffic and is looking annoyed that she can't see through us. So, I pull K's hand and we walk behind her car. Stupid lady. All of the sudden K yells, "Be careful, Da-!" He can't even get my name out before I'm hit in the head by the dern parking lot arm that automatically goes down after a car leaves the lot! Can you believe it?! I start nervously laughing a bit and saying, "How random is that?!" Then K stops me and says, "Wait. Let's stop for a minute. Are you okay?" And then I just start bawling. My head hurt! :( I found the humor in how random the whole thing was, but it hurt like heck too. I cried hysterically while my mascara burned my eyes. Then I decided to go on the elevator to the 4th floor where we parked. I'm still rubbing my eyes when I turn around and hear K asking, "Hey! Are leaving without me?!" I had already punched the number and quickly pushed the door open button and K jumped on. Ooops! I guess I wasn't thinking clearly. My head still hurts this morning! What a way to ruin a buzz!

My sweet, sweet SIL also showed up to babysit my munchkins with the newest Janet Evanovich book! :banana: She bought it for me. So, when we got home I took a hot bath and stayed up late reading the whole book! :rotfl: It was really good. I laughed outloud constantly.

So, that's where I've been... Today we need to pack the kids and bag and deliver them to my MIL so they can sleepover. I have an 8:15am appt for pre-op tomorrow. I also have my blood bank appointment afterwards. The kids start VBS tomorrow too. Before I know it it will be July 3rd! :)

Sounds like a crazy and good night, all but the end of course! KC went to see Spamalot a while back with his friend, they LOVED it.

Kat- I always forget that many New Yorkers don't have cars. Are they expensive to rent for the day/weekend? I think you would love it! We are excited to bring the kids out there! Do you think we should skip the boat ride to the Statue of Liberty and view her from ...(main land? hmm what do you call it??). I was thinking that you can really see her that well up close (for little ones).

It depends on how long you rent. Out here if you want a weekend day you have to pay for the whole weekend. I def think I would love it. I'm thinking once the weather gets less hot we may make a weekend of it and go down to Port Jefferson too (yummy seafood) and maybe (if i'm in the mood) visit my family.

:wave2: LL, Slate & Anyone else I missed!!!

Janet- I hope your birthday was great! I am excited about my bday tomorrow and hopin it doesn't rain!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Cleaning...cleaning and more cleaning....at least I'm getting KC to help me. I am making him go through all his electronics and stuff and get rid of something because the stuff is getting out of hand! I am making some loaded nachos tonight for dinner and we will prob sit down and watch Camp Rock (I DVRed it). Off to do some more cleaning....:thumbsup2
Welcome Lori! I'm Jen, SAHM mom to 2 great little ones. I too am a scrapbooker and am almost as addicted as I am too WDW!
If I missed you, Sorry! Hi to everyone! I'm, up loading pictures and will show you what we have done this weekend!
Thanks Jen! Can't wait to see what you've been up to this weekend. :)
Where do they live?
My soon to be ex in-laws live in Torrance (I always spell this wrong, never know if it an 'e' or an 'a'). My kids are 'supposed' to be heading out that way with soon to be ex at the end of July/beginning of Aug but he hasn't given me dates and times yet so I don't think they'll be going. :woohoo:
Going through a divorce here and it sucks big time! I promise will try to keep all venting about it from here since I need a place to escape from it.
Hi Dawn! Hope your surgery goes well and that you heal quickly! And it sounds like you had a VERY eventful date night last night (or the other night).
Oh no...that stinks! Our power went out one night last week while my DD was on the computer and she threw a MAJOR hissy fit blaming me for it going off. LOL Crazy girl!
************************************************
Well, my Mt. Laundry is done and the laundry room has been restored to order. WooHoo! I'm about to fix dinner (ie call the pizza guy) and watch Camp Rock with the kiddos. I watched it on Friday night by myself and DVR'd it last night to hopefully talk Linds into watching it. Hopefully I can.
That's the polite version of what she is :rotfl2: I think she was born to perform :rotfl:
;) Get that child an agent and send her to Hollywood! :thumbsup2
Oh, ok. DH works in Torrance. I'm going to say you're happy that they're not going? :lmao:
Sorry to hear that - but if you need to vent, we're a very supportive group of peeps here. :grouphug:
Holy Carp thats skeery! Glad you are ok. Nice to see you have priorities in order with the DISing first...lol.
Of course...:rotfl2:
Hmmm... yeah, I'd take a lightening hit over camping any day of the week! :scratchin:
Yes...no bodies popping up in the lake in front of me and no stepping on used crack needles. Lightning was muuuuuch better! :lmao:
DAWN...are you okay? How many fingers am I holding up??? :hippie: Seriously...I hope you're okay darlin'!
Hiya Gals!!:wave:
:wave: Hiya LL!!
Thanks Jen! Where are you relocating to? I read a few posts back you had a couple of interviews...good luck if you haven't had them yet!
I'm relocating to Albuquerque, NM. About 3 hours away from where I am now.
AND...we are very good listeners here. So, vent away when needed doll! :hug:
Jen- Thank goodness your house didn't burn! We had lightening hit Us (both times it hit ground) 2 times in the last 3 years. After replacing every electronic item (which were not on) 2x, we finally smarted up and bought surge protecting power strips to help protect the most valuable electronics. Lighting hits more houses than one may think. A house a few blocks from us burned last year from it. ::yes:: I am so sorry that this happened. I hope you are well insured. When you sell it (after you get one of these great jobs you are interviewing for) you will have soem new selling points. :thumbsup2 So sorry for the headache. I am really glad you are not injured!
We'll be fine. Just a headache. My PC is fried...we have already replaced the AC unit and have the lawn company coming tomorrow to replace the sprinkler unit. My PC was on a surge protector...guess it didn't protect it. The only other thing acting up is hair dryer (WHAT???). Because I left that plugged in. It blew a few lightbulbs. BUT...so lucky we didn't catch fire or anything!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As I was reading through all of the well wishes for my lightning hit...I started to laugh. You all said the exact same thing:

"Ohhhhh...glad you're okay."

And then in response to me not having to go camping:

"And there's the silver lining."

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We really were all meant to find each other here on the DIS! :lmao:

:rotfl:

Right???

You guys better watch out if I meet you in real-life.

I will pull, what I affectionately like to call...the "Tracy." I will run screaming and flailing my arms...straight at ya'! I feel like I "know" many of you. If I saw you on the street...I'd know it was you. And if it wasn't you...and I accosted some stranger...I'd just play it cool...cuz I'm cool that way! :rotfl2:

So true.. it's the six degrees of separation... let's see.. technically I've already met you, Mo as we've both met V and I've already met Z as she met V and LL as well and let's see.... CE and I have ALOT in common, so she's my soul sista and Janet and Jo were supposed to meet up last year, but they didn't BUT we 3 were wandering WS at the same time, so I consider that a meet and Kat met Jordan, and he's a RL neighbor, so that connects us and Blue and Lessa are Canadian sisters, and Blue's met DM and I've talked to DM on the phone, so there's that connection. Then there's Kate who I already know pretty well and since we've both met V we're connected there and then there's T2 who also met V. And then there's S'late who I met last August and she's met Miz and TE. Boy, I'm feeling very Pocahontas right now... shall we all sing..."And we are all connected to eachother, in a circle, in a hoop that never ends....." :rotfl2: No more caffiene for me. :lmao:

I soooooo wish I had that one on film! It was a classic moment when I met LL! :lmao:

Hiya TE, can't wait to hear all about your trip, do you still have to work during the school holidays?
::yes:: The kids asked the same question! But yes, they don't close nursing homes for summer break! Last week (before the beach)--I just went in early at 7:15 and got home about 12:30. Ab can "watch" BA for that long really, and my MIL is only 5 miles away, but BA still texted me several times asking me when I was coming home!
I'm working just 10 hours a week tho in 2 days.

ne - they just opened one near(ish) us.
Glad to hear you had a fun trip, TE. :goodvibes
:thumbsup2 I tell ya all about it! Join the Club Fondue too online too--I got free stuff!
TE- I missed you! :hug:
Missed u too! How are u feeling??

Hello... anybody home ??:wave2:
Hey Hey Hey!!!
I missed you! what are you doing right now??? We need to know!!!

++++++++++++++++++++

We got the pup today!!!!! He's so-o-o cute---about 11 pounds of roly-poly pup! His name is Bear. BA is holding him now--we have hardly put him down. Max likes him a lot, but Isabella the cat is hissing and keeping her distance. I'll post some pix tomorrow.
