I think you should do it. If for my entertainment only! We need us some Latina representation in the field of fake and big! :rotfl2:

I just wanted to say that I hope it went well. And I hope you let KC have it guuuud...;) :rotfl2:

:wave: I'm Jen...single mommy to Jon (12). I'm an SLP in the elementary schools, and I'm fixing to relocate!

Welcome!!!

You didn't have to do anything at all hon! Thanks for trying!!!

And HAVE FUN!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oy.
What a day.
I was awoken at 6:30 this morning when my house was hit by lightning. Yes, a direct hit from lightning.
Our electricity was fried.
We had to replace the AC control panel...as it was fried and wouldn't shut off.
The sprinklers also wouldn't shut off...and we'll have to replace that control panel as well.
Simultaneously popped several lightbulbs...that weren't even on.
And here's the greatest part...it fried my PC. So, I borrowed my father's until I can fix mine. :furious:
But...on a good note...I updated my TR. Yes, again. I"m trying to get it done before I begin my move!
Holy Carp thats skeery! Glad you are ok. Nice to see you have priorities in order with the DISing first...lol.
Hey Kat, was it you who was recently watching Weeds? I just started watching it yesterday at work and you were right, it is hilarious!
Well the show was nice, the photos didn't work as it was so dark and no flashes allowed, I have ordered the DVD so if I can work it out I'll post some. We then had a nice meal afterwards and it's nearly bedtime for the girls, Ellie's exhausted as she woke up at 5am due to excitement this morning 2:
I must have missed this... what show, Jo? :confused3
Yeah, but I would at least stay at a Holiday Inn. POFQ, NEVER AGAIN! No more left over mac and cheese behind the sink for me:
Blech!! :crazy2:
So I have an exciting Saturday night planned. Yep on the couch with a sleeping pug on either side and the laptop on the lap while watching Ocean's 13. Oh yeah, don't hurt yourselves with excitement!
Wow, Mo... you're really living on the edge, ain't ya! ;) :lmao:
OMG, I swear, I saw this coming!
DUDE! TE said the same thing! :lmao:
My boss got Botoxed in the forehead a few months ago - she HATED it! Said it felt like some foreign blob was stuck under her skin. She also couldn't get her eyebrow pencil on right becuae she could no longer raise her eyebrows. Just a little inside info.
Ack!! I completely forgot to tell you all about the Botox party they had on Friday.... they were poking eachother in the forehead with that crap! :eek:
Hi everyone! Do you have room for a newbie? I've been reading this thread off and on and I think I've read a few trip reports from some of you.
Anyways, I'm Lori, soon to be 30 :eek: , and single SAHM to my 2 lovely kiddos: Lindsey is 5 (going on 20) and will be starting Kindy this fall and
DR is 3 and is my little mama's boy. Not much else to say about me but I love to read, scrapbook, shop and Disney.
Nice to 'meet' y'all.
Hi Lori! :welcome: I'm Tracy (T), momma to Maddie and Evan, and a part-time student externing at Botox Barbieville.;) We live in So. Cal. just a stones throw from Disneyland. Well... not that close, but I like to brag. :rolleyes1
T??? Step away from the poison injections, 'K?
No need to tell me twice!::yes::
no Target - NOTHING!
My eyes!!! My eyes!!!! :scared1:
Tomorrow morning we go to DISNEY!!!!!! :worship: Finally! I am so excited!
:banana: :woohoo:
Good evening all. Just a quick post as I am tired and do not feel well. Hope I feel better tomorrow since we are going to Lake Michigan.
Feel better, margie! :hug:
Must be the day to get a new TV, Mo. My DH went out this afternoon to "look" at new HD TVs and what do you know?? He came home with a 46 inch 1080p flat screen TV! Of course, he got a "great deal!"
Andy did the same thing last year... our TV just so happen to go out the weekend before the Super Bowl... how ironic. :rolleyes1
Well the total from the garage sale was right around $375!! This is great as it will pay for Biergarten and the two character meals we have booked. :banana:
Whoa!! That's awesome, Lessa! :thumbsup2
I think you should do it. If for my entertainment only! We need us some Latina representation in the field of fake and big! :rotfl2:
I was awoken at 6:30 this morning when my house was hit by lightning. Yes, a direct hit from lightning.
:eek: OMG! I'm glad to hear your OK. :hug:
It was scary. But, it got me out of camping!!! :rotfl:
Hmmm... yeah, I'd take a lightening hit over camping any day of the week! :scratchin:
Went to lunch with Murph today and then to Costco to get her a new TV, she got a 32 inch Aquos. It took about 5 minutes to set up and she thinks I am genius, she can't believe how easy I made it look. Not rocket science here. Attached the stand and plug the darn thing in. ;)
Let her think it was really tricky :rotfl2:
Oh Jo I promise to try would it be Lowestoft?? :yay:
Yep Rosie, you could go to Lowestoft :thumbsup2
Hi everyone! Do you have room for a newbie? I've been reading this thread off and on and I think I've read a few trip reports from some of you.
Welcome Lori, just jump right in and chat we're a friendly bunch! I'm Jo and I'm a 35 y/o SAHM who constantly plays golf and bores everyone here with it :rotfl2: I live in England so spell stuff funny and say goodnight at about 5pm your time :rotfl:
::yes:: Truly. And I passed out on the couch, so I didn't even get any residual "sneezing"... :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:
THIS IS A REMOTE POST!!!!
Hi Mel :wave2: So there were no stores anywhere??? And no-one knew where any were??? Where on earth did they shop???
And yeah DAWN where are you??? Hope you're OK :hug:
He redeems himself with laughter, it's one of the main reason I love the bum so much!
Sounds sweet :goodvibes
Good evening all. Just a quick post as I am tired and do not feel well. Hope I feel better tomorrow since we are going to Lake Michigan.
It was scary. But, it got me out of camping!!! :rotfl:
There's always a bright side :rotfl2:
I must have missed this... what show, Jo? :confused3
It was a show with her dance school, she did a ballet, tap and disco dance. She loves being up on stage, we always get comments about how smiley she is and how good a dancer she is too :thumbsup2
Sheesh part 5?!!?!?! What a perfect title for the thread though :rotfl2:
Hellooooo everyone!! :wave2:
I've missed so much and I've missed you guys :grouphug:, I've just been super busy with life. :worried:
I spoke with Kat and Janet the other day online so thought I'd check in here too to say hi.
Hope everyone is well and all that jazz. When I get more time I'll start hanging out more with everyone again. Can't wait to catch up.
:hippie:
There you are! I've been waiting for you to show up so I could tell everyone that I found a Duck in the TL wave pool!!!
Sorry!!!! I'm just hunky dory, girls. Thanks for thinking of me. :hug: I'll tell you where I've been. You're not going to believe what happened on my date last night!!! :faint:
Thursday we went to Schlitterbahn for 4.5 hours, so I napped when I got home. I was beat. Then Friday I was still really tired from the day before and my Friday morning grocery trip. So I napped. Then I cleaned for our Camp Rock viewing party. Then I rested. :rotfl:
The movie was okay. I had two of my friend's kids and my kids here with K and me. It was mostly a loud bunch of laughing and popcorn eating. Good thing we recorded it so we can actually watch it again. :rotfl2:
Saturday was more of the cleaning and resting routine. I just get so wiped out lately. But on a bright note, I haven't taken any pain pills since last Tuesday. :banana:
Mini Date Report:
So, yesterday was my big afternoon (3 month later) birthday date from my SIL. She bought me tix for two to Spamalot. I was really excited to be going on a date with my hunny. I love musicals and operas, etc. I told K we should do at least one show each year. Just because I had kids and spend 24/7 with them doesn't mean I'm not my own person, right?
So, the show was so hilarious. I had my mouth hanging open when I wasn't laughing. :eek: I had no idea what to expect, so I was shocked at some of the things they actually said! :scared1: But it was so much fun.
Afterwards, we walked to the Riverwalk and decided to eat dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was a fun atmosphere, but the menu was only "eh". I had salmon and K had a bacon cheeseburger. I decided after reading how great pom drinks are to try a a Pom martini... or three. :lovestruc I was getting my buzz on (which I don't think I've done in months!) when we decided to leave.
We're walking the one block to our parking garage when we have to stop because this lady is inching her way out of her parking lot and into traffic and is looking annoyed that she can't see through us. So, I pull K's hand and we walk behind her car. Stupid lady. All of the sudden K yells, "Be careful, Da-!" He can't even get my name out before I'm hit in the head by the dern parking lot arm that automatically goes down after a car leaves the lot! Can you believe it?! I start nervously laughing a bit and saying, "How random is that?!" Then K stops me and says, "Wait. Let's stop for a minute. Are you okay?" And then I just start bawling. My head hurt! :( I found the humor in how random the whole thing was, but it hurt like heck too. I cried hysterically while my mascara burned my eyes. Then I decided to go on the elevator to the 4th floor where we parked. I'm still rubbing my eyes when I turn around and hear K asking, "Hey! Are leaving without me?!" I had already punched the number and quickly pushed the door open button and K jumped on. Ooops! I guess I wasn't thinking clearly. My head still hurts this morning! What a way to ruin a buzz!
My sweet, sweet SIL also showed up to babysit my munchkins with the newest Janet Evanovich book! :banana: She bought it for me. So, when we got home I took a hot bath and stayed up late reading the whole book! :rotfl: It was really good. I laughed outloud constantly.
So, that's where I've been... Today we need to pack the kids and bag and deliver them to my MIL so they can sleepover. I have an 8:15am appt for pre-op tomorrow. I also have my blood bank appointment afterwards. The kids start VBS tomorrow too. Before I know it it will be July 3rd! :)
I was awoken at 6:30 this morning when my house was hit by lightning. Yes, a direct hit from lightning.
:scared1: :scared1: I'm glad you're okay. That would have me freaked!
It was scary. But, it got me out of camping!!! :rotfl:
And...there's the good news :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
:scared1: and :hug: You are having one heck of a time lately. I hope you feel better.
Hey Focker Friends!!
We're back!! Got back around 6:30 last nite. Had a good week--weather in mid 80s most of week which was comfortable---we are used to Florida beach weather so actually was surprised at the less humidity. (but should have packed more capris for evening---oh well).
I'll do a mini TR when I find my camera! But overall, I would certainly go back---lots of stuff to do!
Here's the restaurants I'll discuss:
Medieval Times
Melting Pot
Bennetts Calabash Seafood (think gigantic buffet!)
SoHo
Baron's Steak and Seafood
Ciao Italian (a great find)
Show: La Grande Cirque
+++++++++
Hoping Janet had a great Birthday!!!
+++++
How's your head, Dawn???
Hey Focker Friends!!
We're back!!
Welcome back! I can't wait to hear!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hmm, I started this reply almost two hours ago and apparently just walked away from the computer. So, I'm no doubt behind again!

The boys and I have had a lazy morning. They played with a neighbor for a bit after watching an animated movie on TV. I've been reading the last three day's worth of papers, doing crosswords, etc.

D is already back at his airport, but still has to drive home. It's supposed to storm here this afternoon so I don't know what we'll do. :confused3

Let's see if I can get this Multi-Quote thing right...

Hi, Lori! I'm CE. SAHM to twin 6 year old boys. Welcome! We are always happy to have someone join in! :goodvibes

Thanks CE! :)

HI! Welcome! I'm Kat (Duh, lol). Jump in anytime, good luck keeping up!

Thanks Kat! And yes...I have definately noticed the quick pace going on here around here. LOL

:wave: I'm Jen...single mommy to Jon (12). I'm an SLP in the elementary schools, and I'm fixing to relocate!

Welcome!!!

Thanks Jen! Where are you relocating to? I read a few posts back you had a couple of interviews...good luck if you haven't had them yet!

Hi Lori! :welcome: I'm Tracy (T), momma to Maddie and Evan, and a part-time student externing at Botox Barbieville.;) We live in So. Cal. just a stones throw from Disneyland. Well... not that close, but I like to brag. :rolleyes1

Thanks T! Oh how I would love to live close to Disneyland (or Disneyworld)! Oh well, I'll just settle for going to visit my soon to be ex-inlaws and visit DL & DCA that way. (They like me and the kids better than their own son anyways :laughing: ).

Welcome Lori, just jump right in and chat we're a friendly bunch! I'm Jo and I'm a 35 y/o SAHM who constantly plays golf and bores everyone here with it :rotfl2: I live in England so spell stuff funny and say goodnight at about 5pm your time :rotfl:

Thanks Jo! And your golf stories won't bore me. My dad and brother play so I'm used to hearing all about making par, going over and under, birdies, handicaps, holes in one, and whatever else comes along with golf. I also get the pleasure of watching it every weekend on TV. Bad thing...they are turning my 3 year old son into a golf nut!

Hi princess / prince Welcome to the Fockers I'm Rosie , a grandma to 3 and a total Disney nut!! I also am the official computor whiz !! You will soon learn the irony of that !! Jo is the BESTEST !! So tag along and emjoy our thread new members are always welcome and we have been good girls lately and not gotten into any trouble:rolleyes1

Thanks English Rose! :)

*********************************************

Lindsey is with my dad at chruch right now. DR is watching some Power Ranger movie I DVR'd for him last night. (He's so into them all of a sudden!) And I'm sitting here reading the DIS and working on a few things for E-bay.

No big plans for me today. Just going to try to conquer Mt. Laundry that has taken over our laundry room and if it stays sunny (and warm) I might take the kids swimming with my dad later on this afternoon.

Welcome Lindsey! I'm Jen, SAHM mom to 2 great little ones. I too am a scrapbooker and am almost as addicted as I am too WDW!

Dawn- I am glad you weren't hurt to bad. It sounds like a great break...what a nice sister!

Jo- Bummer that the pictures didn't turn out.

T- OMG! I will not be attending Fockerfest, but if you showed up all botoxed out that :eek: would scare me. My Cali G-ma is frozen. Solid! Has been since I can remember. Cali woman....?? ;)

The extra money sounds fab! At least you will have extra cash AND we will get to hear more Barbie stories!

Jen- Thank goodness your house didn't burn! We had lightening hit Us (both times it hit ground) 2 times in the last 3 years. After replacing every electronic item (which were not on) 2x, we finally smarted up and bought surge protecting power strips to help protect the most valuable electronics. Lighting hits more houses than one may think. A house a few blocks from us burned last year from it. ::yes:: I am so sorry that this happened. I hope you are well insured. When you sell it (after you get one of these great jobs you are interviewing for) you will have soem new selling points. :thumbsup2 So sorry for the headache. I am really glad you are not injured!

Kat- I always forget that many New Yorkers don't have cars. Are they expensive to rent for the day/weekend? I think you would love it! We are excited to bring the kids out there! Do you think we should skip the boat ride to the Statue of Liberty and view her from ...(main land? hmm what do you call it??). I was thinking that you can really see her that well up close (for little ones).

Carrie- I am glad to hear the burden is off your shoulders. No trip is worth a burden! :hug:

CE- LOVED the Paris report! Just loved it! really, loved it. love, love love. (is that enough loves:confused3 ) got the point? ;)

TE- Oooouuu Another Mini TR! With a bunch of food reviews...Yummo!

Puggy- You are a smart, talented lady. :) Did you get the TV at Costco? They seem to have nice prices there.

LL- Nice to "see" you again! I'm glad you were able to finish your report.... in the NICK OF TIME TO START ANOTHER ONE.

Lessa- Yippee! $$$ for WDW!

If I missed you, Sorry! Hi to everyone! I'm, up loading pictures and will show you what we have done this weekend!

Hi guys there's a coffee pot swap at Pop that has openings July9th thry Aug. 8th if anyone knows anyone who would be interested!!

There you are! I've been waiting for you to show up so I could tell everyone that I found a Duck in the TL wave pool!!!
Sounds fun :rotfl2:

Sorry!!!! I'm just hunky dory, girls. Thanks for thinking of me. :hug: I'll tell you where I've been. You're not going to believe what happened on my date last night!!! :faint:
Oh Dawn that sounds so painful, glad you liked Spamalot though and good luck for tomorrow :goodvibes

Hey Focker Friends!!

We're back!! Got back around 6:30

Hiya Gals!!:wave:
Who are you???? Your username sounds familiar??? :rolleyes1 LY LL good to see you again :hug:

Good Morning Focker friends!!! I`ve been here reading along and catching up with everybody.
How big are the chicks now Carrie? What a pity about ip-dip but the price of stuff is just silly, it sounds as though you made the right decision :hug:

Jo Loks like I have to go to Walmart to get the pix done as they can't find it. We are conviced if they cleaned their room it would be found! But I have a deadline !!:lmao:
You do Rosie, you do :rotfl2:

Wooohoooo someone who will actually read my golf posts :rotfl2: My DH is a PGA Pro, so golf is a big thing with our family!

Jo- Bummer that the pictures didn't turn out.
I know, it was just too far away and they turned out blurry because of the movement!

I'm, up loading pictures and will show you what we have done this weekend!
Can't wait popcorn::

We've had a nice day today, a bit of gardening, made a papier mache planet (eventually after getting messy :rotfl: ) played some golf with Jess, had a big roast pork dinner, ummm played Wii, chased next doors rabbit around (their rabbit had got out and the gate had blown open and they were out, Jess did catch it eventually and put it back!) David and Ellie went on a bike ride............

It was a show with her dance school, she did a ballet, tap and disco dance. She loves being up on stage, we always get comments about how smiley she is and how good a dancer she is too :thumbsup2
Right on! She is such an adorably animated girl, isn't she? :goodvibes

So, I pull K's hand and we walk behind her car. Stupid lady. All of the sudden K yells, "Be careful, Da-!" He can't even get my name out before I'm hit in the head by the dern parking lot arm that automatically goes down after a car leaves the lot! Can you believe it?! I start nervously laughing a bit and saying, "How random is that?!" Then K stops me and says, "Wait. Let's stop for a minute. Are you okay?" And then I just start bawling. My head hurt! :( I found the humor in how random the whole thing was, but it hurt like heck too. I cried hysterically while my mascara burned my eyes. Then I decided to go on the elevator to the 4th floor where we parked. I'm still rubbing my eyes when I turn around and hear K asking, "Hey! Are leaving without me?!" I had already punched the number and quickly pushed the door open button and K jumped on. Ooops! I guess I wasn't thinking clearly. My head still hurts this morning! What a way to ruin a buzz!

OMG, you poor thing! :hug: That WAS a buzz kill, wasn't it! :headache: Hope your head feels better soon!

Here's the restaurants I'll discuss:

Medieval Times
Melting Pot
Bennetts Calabash Seafood (think gigantic buffet!)
SoHo
Baron's Steak and Seafood
Ciao Italian (a great find)
Ooh... cant' wait to hear about that one - they just opened one near(ish) us.
Glad to hear you had a fun trip, TE. :goodvibes
Makes you think twice about me meeting your kids huh?
:lmao:
Hiya Gals!!:wave:
