TEAM FIVE: Herc's Heroes--Post miles/hours here!

Beautiful day in Atlanta! Just ran 3 miles in 32:20.

Hope all the Hercs have a nice Sunday! :goodvibes

Hey guys I heard from Sandy, she is still alive and kicking and getting in what miles and time she can. The winter has been really tough on them with only one car and a dying computer. She is logging her's and Hubby's times and miles and will catch up as soon as she can.

Adventure Panda:hippie:

Sorry I'm a bit late in posting my totals - busy weekend!

I only got out for runs twice:

9.41 miles
1:54:04

Plus you can add on a 2 hr walk with my dog yesterday if that counts!

Trying to get back on track this week, while not running at all.

Sunday 1 hour ride with DW, her first time on a road bike! 11 miles
Monday 40 minute ride for 11.4 miles again, pretty hard effort.

I've been testing out a new lowered aerobar/arm pad setup, basically just removed a couple inches of spacers that had my back arching too much and my arms too extended. worked out great and I had a lot less *** pain than usual... Looking forward to raiding local cycling events, a whole new category to enjoy for a while!

A super WINDY 8 miles/86 minutes on Saturday (I almost got blown over!), and a really pleasant & sunny 5.8 miles/56 minutes tonight, plus 20 minutes strength exercises. I'm so happy that daylight saving finally kicked in so it's not dark when I get off work! :woohoo:

Mileage will probably be a little lower for me this week, since I'm in full taper now for the Shamrock marathon next Sunday!

WTG Lenshanem, Angie & Matt for kicking off the week!

I'm Back!!!! First and foremost GO TEAM and thanks for all the hard work.

Well, after 3 weeks away, I REALLY need to get going AGAIN!

I haven't caught up with the reading but thought I should at least check in to let you all know I'm still in it! Also, UTguitarist (DS) asked me to touch base for him as well. He has just returned from spring break and now readying for test mode. He will start back up as well and check in soon.

I was out of town 2 weeks and then spring break week spent with kids at home YEA...but so sad now that they're back at school. I need endorphins real bad - I'm depressed.

During the 2 weeks away, even though I can't quantify, DH and I spent 2/22 walking around AK and DHStudios - then spent 2/23 walking around EP and MK - quick Disney fix. Then, DH company work cruise - BUT I managed to do 45 mins Yoga and 45 mins Pilates and 45 minutes run (3 miles) on board...but that's all...total I guess would be 2:15 hours and 3 miles. I would have tried to do another day, except me and jungle mountain biking excursion (too many rocks) do not get along...bad spill and a boo-boo knee. I'll stick to paved roads!

So now that I've told you all that I am back in training...I guess I gotta do it... starting tomorrow!

Hi Heroes, I'm sending y'all another big gun, please welcome Andromedaslove. Y'all were in last place for the first month of the competition but with a full charge of power you guys should be kicking butt now.

War Panda:hippie:

Welcome Andromedaslove to Team Hercs! :woohoo:

Glad to see you back Missy! :goodvibes

DH and I went to Chastain Park to run today. He goes there often during lunch at work, but it was the first time I went out there. Not really convenient for me. Couple of pretty steep shorts hills! :headache: Anyway, ran 4 miles in 43:10.

Go team! Go! :yay:

I'm off to a good start for the week - 1 hour of fit ball yesterday plus a 3 mile run over lunch today. I promise to help out with the totals a bit more now!

OKay after a LONG hiatus away from the boards (and training) I am back with a vengence!! Master Panda told me to come introduce myself here as I am now joining your team. I am a little vague on the rules, so if someone can read me in or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. As far as training to report, I put in 4 miles this afternoon at 34:38!! I can't wait to get started with this... I really need to motivation!!

Dana

Good evening, gang! A night of assorted crosstraining for me today - 2.4 miles run, 30 minutes elliptical ("3.5 miles"), 25 minutes rowing, 10 minutes weights - 90 minutes total, and boy am I tired :)

Back from a 2 miler, 21:29. Either tomorrow or Friday I'm supposed to run 12 miles - my longest run so far. Wish me luck! :scared:

Shan - Good luck on that 12 miler!! I know you can do it!!

Today ran 4 miles (33:45).

Ya'll are awful quiet in here today!! Well, todays work out is done (as posted earlier) and I'm off to bed. Here's hoping I get in that X-training/Strength training on plan for tomorrow!! Goodnight everyone!!

Dana

Tuesday - 40 min on the trainer, ~12 miles
Thursday - 1 hour on the trainer, ~18 miles

Totals for week ending 3/14:
52.42 miles, 3:20 (all cycling)

Got a 34 mile ride event scheduled for Sat, and then some more towards the end of the month we'll see what happens!

Hey Guys!!

I only joined this team last week and i am already falling behind :confused3
Sorry I was MIA last week and my training plan for the week got SCRAPPED!! Dumb job gets in the way of training and DIS'ing  What's up with that. Anyway my goal this week was 17 miles I'm afraid I only got in 12!!

Totals for week:

12 miles
112.5 minutes

I am bound and determined to raise that up next week.

Wish me luck, doing my first 8 miler tomorrow since surgery, actually since I was training for MINNIE last year.

Dana Glad to see you. :) I just joined the team last week, I wasn't really training after surgery, but now I'm back!!!!

Basically if I remember right, the week runs Saturday to Friday and you post your hours and miles here then the captain totals them up. I think?? Someone jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong.
Shan Let us know how that 12 went. I can't wait to hear.

Gotta get some work done

Survived my first 12 miler yesterday! :yay:
Last 2 miles hurt and it got hot - car said 69 when I finished. Average pace ended up being 11:03. Hoping I run something similar in my first half in a couple weeks - I want to be under 2:30. Took an ice bath afterward and I feel pretty good today.

So here's my totals for the week -
21 miles / 3:49:44
+
2 miles / 40:00 (warmups & cooldowns)
=
23 miles / 4:29:44

Next 2 weeks I'm tapering and then the week after my half I probably won't run and the following week I'll be in WDW sooo... I might not be adding many miles in to Team Herc. :sad2:

Hope Team Herc has an AWESOME weekend! :cheer2:

I have 225 minutes of shoveling and fives miles.

So much chaos at work and home. Is Lent over yet?...
