Good Wednesday morning Team Donald. Hopefully I won't lose post.
pjlla How is your husband doing going back to work?
Pretty much a quiet night last night. Fell asleep watching BL and then slept until the alarm got me up this morning
Have a busy day today. Classes all day and then back to costumes tonight. Hopefully we can get some work done. First dress rehersal is Sunday night.
Off to get ready to go to work.
Have a happy and healthy day.
He is doing great back to work.... just like normal. Thanks for asking. I don't think I've heard yet how your visit with DS went.

Congrats DisFam95 for being our overall Biggest Loser this week! Keep up the good work!!!!!
HEY, HEY!! The BL is among us Donald's !!!!!
Congrats to Disfam95 and all our top losers this week!!!!

Wow, we've lost over 500 pounds, and I'm happy to say I have contributed a little this challenge.
On the weight loss front, I'm heading down at 203.8, but will be ready to rock this challenge to ONE-derland when I get back.
Lisa- Safe travels today and I'll see you real soon!!!
Thanks so much for all the well wishes. It really means a lot to me, and I know without all the love, support, advice, hugs and inspiration I have gotten from all of you here I would not be doing a half marathon.

Thanks for being there. You are all amazing friends.
Lots of loving going out to you and Lisa and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I'll be thinking of you all SO MANY TIMES in the upcoming days!! Prayers for health and safe travels coming your way this weekend.
Woohoo me! I hit 10%!! My goal was to hit 20% by the end of this challenge and I might actually make it!
OK the last few days I have felt like I was losing my way. Junk food has crept into the house and we've been eating out, a lot. That has to stop today!!!! I need to get through this week with the food, or lack there of. I'm going to the grocery store this morning, don't have a ton of cash to spend but I need to pick up some fruit. The veggies I bought earlier in the week were NASTY! Come on summer!!!!!!
HAVE AN AWESOME DAY DONALDS!!!!!

A trio of dancing girls to help celebrate your 10% !! I'm so very happy for you!!! Kick that junk food out the door!! If the packages are still closed, donate them to a local food pantry or drop them off at a senior center!
I was going to skip the grocery store this week, but, like you, I needed fruit and veggies. Hit that last night and we should be good until at least mid-week next week! Anything good on sale for produce around you? We had grapefruit and oranges on sale, plus asparagus. Broccoli looked like heck, so I skipped it.
:Way to Go Donalds !!!
Good luck to all the Princess runners

Hang in there! Take it day by day -- you can do this! I felt like eating more after lunch today but I set the timer for 10 minutes and got busy washing dishes and after the timer went off I realized I was actually full. I think I will be doing this more often. It helps that I always have some dishes to wash with a broken dishwasher
Well, our gloomy weather burned off yesterday and we've had nice sunshine since then. Very very cold out though. Got my mound of dishes done yesterday and got almost all the laundry done. Did 45 minutes on the elliptical and went to Stich and ***** last night where we had some very yummy eats. I was up 1.8 this morning

probably due to 3 or 4 glasses of champagne. I need to be careful this week as we're also having a ladies night Friday night. I think I will try having just salad for dinner tonight and tomorrow night. Another fresh mound of dishes awaits me today. I've been to yoga class this morning and tried to watch BL but my DVR is not working. I am also working on a 1000 piece puzzle that I bought at Versailles this weekend. It's the painting of the Coronation of napoleon. I don't think there are alot of people in this world that still do puzzles but I love them. No one in my family likes them. A girl at yoga told me about the book "Abundance", historical fiction about Marie Antoinette and I ordered it on my Kindle. Julie, I also ordered "Made to Crave". I get a daily devotional from Proverbs 31 company and Lysa T. is a frequent writer there. I didn't know the book was also a bestseller.
Hope you are all having a great day! I think I am going to make a chart of the 14.3 pounds I have left to lose in this challenge to make my goal and post it on the wall in front of my scale. I'll color in the block in red every time I lose .2, either with a bar going up or going down
Shawn
I LOVE the idea of setting the timer. I sometimes get a mid-afternoon munchie attack that comes out of nowhere. Next time I will set a timer for 15 minutes and see how I feel then.
I love puzzles too, but I rarely "indulge" in leaving one out because I get tired of it sitting there..... I'm really slow with puzzles. But I love doing them with the kids when I am subbing in Kindergarten!

Some of those 100 piece puzzles can be really challenging!
I am so taken with the chart you are thinking of making. I want to do something like that for my last few pounds I want to lose. I need SOMETHING to keep me moving. I've been within 2 pounds of my goal two or three times in the past year and have never quite made it. I know I should be happy I'm still where I am, but I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see that number on the scale before I head to Disney in May. I've been looking at pictures from my trip with DS last year and (it may be all in my own head), but I think I look SO MUCH BETTER with just those last few pounds off. Maybe I'll add a picture from that trip with my "chart".... whatever I come up with. Thanks for the great idea!
Well... Happy Wednesday morning friends! I knew DD would be excited about our Mother/Daughter trip in May, but honestly, she is just beside herself!! She mentions it every morning and wants to talk non-stop when we are in the car going places. MY KIND OF GIRL!!
Anyhow.... we are thinking about making this a "THEMED" trip... but we can't come up with anything original. We thought about "Been there.... never done that!" (trying things we've never done/seen) or some sort of "Princesses of NH in WDW" or "Disney Divas"..... but none of that is too exciting. We'd like a theme we could work into some t-shirts or pins, into our photos, into the future scrapbook. Any creative ideas out there??
I hit the gym at the Y last night. I've been avoiding it since the 1st of the year, to let all of the New Years Resolution-ers get it out of their systems. Anyhow, I've been doing just okay with cardio at home on the TM, but very lacking in strength training. After hitting the Treadclimber and the Treadmill last night, I grabbed some free weights and I was pleasantly surprised that it seems like I haven't lost much strength. I didn't attempt push-ups though! There were too many witnesses!!
I want to keep up the strength training through the spring to keep my arms and shoulders looking nice for short-sleeve weather! I'm old and a former fat girl, so there is no way I'm going to be able to completely avoid that "chicken wing" flap on the back of my biceps, but at least I can make the rest look okay.
My healthy vegan stew I made on Saturday didn't last the week..... turns out that DH actually liked it!!

Go figure! Anyhow, it was so easy, I might make more today or tomorrow if I find that I have all of the ingredients. For those who might be interested, I'll post the "recipe" (such as it is) on the BL recipe thread later.
**Healthy eating breakthrough for my family. I served "make-your-own" yogurt parfaits for DINNER last night and got NO complaints!! I've done it for breakfast in the past, but never for lunch or dinner. I put out a container of Stoneyfield farms fatfree organic french vanilla yogurt, thawed blueberries, sliced almonds, FiberOne cereal, sliced bananas, cantaloupe, pineapple, diced dried apricots, craisins, cinnamon. Plus everyone (other than myself) got a half toasted bagel and a cup of cocoa. FAST, EASY, HEALTHY.... and NO COMPLAINTS!!
We had had hamburgers (a rare treat in our house) the night before and I wanted them to understand that we need to balance meals like that with much lighter, healthier NON-MEAT meals.... hence the yogurt night. It will certainly be added to the regular rotation once the warmer weather hits.
Also I have TWO NSV to add.....
DS and I were watching a tv show and a woman mentioned she had a heart attack at age 47. DS asked about my age (I'm nearly 47) and I let him know that even though I am that age, he has NOTHING to worry about..... I am NOT overweight, I exercise regularly, eat healthy, and my heart is in GREAT SHAPE! It was SO NICE to be able to set his mind at ease about that!!
Second..... I mentioned to DD that I'd like to lose about 5 pounds before our trip to Disney. She told me that she didn't know why.... she thinks I look fabulous!!

This is a 15 1/2 year old saying this to me!! I was floored (and flattered, of course). I posted a few years ago when I was mid-way in this journey about not wanting to be a source of embarrassement for my kids (at least, due to my weight), and obviously I've achieved that goal!
Anyhow. I promised myself I'd only be here until 9:30 and I am past that time. Gotta roll now. BBL to talk......................P
