What a fabulous list, Rose. Thanks for sharing it with us.So here are my Top 10 reasons to stick with a healthy lifestyle for 2011.
10. Shopping for clothes is a lot more fun!
9. Being able to fit on the Dumbo ride with your adult childpriceless.
8. Its awesome to be able to leave your clothes in the dryer and not worry about everything being too small when they come out.
7. Less stomach issues and better sleep!
6. Healthy food (once you figure out what you like) tastes so much better than fast food.
5. Trying new thingslike segway tours and kayaking and parasailingis a lot easier without the extra pounds.
4. You will find that if you can lose the weight you will feel like you can do anything!
3. Being told you look 10 years younger is a pretty amazing thing!
2. Less medication, better blood pressure, less risk of diabetes, stroke and heart attack, need I say more.
1. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!!(Thanks CorinnaI think you said this!)
I was reading about the supplement gels and gu's, and someone described them as frosting, and now I'm craving frosting too. So glad I don't have any in the house, and I'm too lazy to make some.Walked through the family room on my way to the treadmill today and my kids were watching Cake Boss and all I could think about for the next 20 minutes was frosting!I'm a serious sweets lover. I hope I don't trigger anyone else's cravings here by saying that, but I think it's worth noting...stay away from shows about unhealthy food!
Whoo hoo!! You can definitely to it. I was slow to tell people I wanted to do the princess, but almost everyone I told, and now pretty much everyone is sick of me talking about it, but they were all supportive, and more of them knew I could do it before I did. Ah, that medal is a huge motivator.one BIG thing for me is now that I have told so many people I am going to do the 5K in October and train for the Princess in 2012 -
I don't want everyone to shake their heads and say we knew you would'nt do it. you were talking again like you have in the pasty about losing weight.
I want to prove that I CAN.
I just want that medaland getting healthy along the way is a perk!!!
With all this support I am in for the long haul![]()
Here's to a new day, and an awesome attitude. Hope you had a good run. It's cold out there. But today is a new day, I am back on track, even went to bed with the kids last night so I wouldn't continue the downward spiral. Woke up at 7 which even on a school day is rare for me, laid around til 9 (should have gotten up) but now we are on to breakfast and a run.
First take ownership of the bad day, ignoring it won't help in the least. Sit back and look at what I did wrong, how I felt, why I ate what I ate. Then learn from it. Re-access my goals, why am I here. What do I want for myself. Then start a new day on a good note!
Love your attitude. So glad ds is is ok and hope that cold is gone soon. I am jealous of your laundry since mine is sitting clean on my bed. I should be doing that now, but I'd rather catch up here. The best way for me to get back on track is to just do it as quickly as possible. Don't wait until the next workday, the next day, or even the next hour. Forgive, forget and get back on track. Also tracking right away helps because sometimes I find out that the problem wasn't as bad as I thought and it is easier to get back OP.
We have the day off today so DS will be studying for finals -- looks like we avoided the strep and just got a cold -- and we will take it easy to keep recouperating. Also, apparently the stars, moons and planets have aligned just right because all of our laundry is done and put away!
You definitely deserve some dis time for working so hard. That's great you have time to get to the gym on your lunch break. Imagine how much food you could consume in that amount of time if you just sat in the lunch room.Happy monday everyone! I had a busy weekend and am still pretty busy at work, but I am rewarding myself for working hard for 2.5 hours by coming on here and commenting a little Luckily, I have a gym that is only about 5 min from work. I usually leave for the gym around 1, get about 30 min of cardio in, take a quick shower and head back to work. It usually takes me about an hour and 5 or 10 min, but I usually get to work before 8, so I figure it all works out
When I get back to work, I eat lunch at my desk.

Glad you got on today. I am tired just reading your schedule. You are awesome!Hi everyone! I was having some password issues and was not able to get on the DIS at all!!

Just popping in to say hello. We had fun at the museum, and split a bag of chips, and then came home and had a late lunch, early supper. I figure we'll have some fruit and yogurt later, I have a nice pineapple to cut up. Gotta get my fruits in for the HH.
Have a nice evening.
