Team 8 Jessica's Rabbits Bios and Info

Here are my numbers for this week! Sorry I have been MIA this week, but we decided to jump on the free dining in Sept (I know, perfect for training, right?) so I have needed to research that!

13.85 miles
200.5 minutes or 3.34 hours

That doesn't sound too good anymore, especially based on what others are doing...

Hi everyone -

I am off to a good week, I just did my first "LR" !!!

Well, I felt crappy tonight but I felt like I had to run. Weird I know, but running on Sunday's actually helps me in the long run. Because I am up late with grad school work, and I feel more awake afterwards

I told my dh that I did not feel so great, so I may be home sooner that I normal. However, I knew if I felt good I was going to attempt a LR of 3.5 miles. Well I left the house at 7:50pm and I thought I would be home before dark. I WAS WRONG, it got dark around 8:10pm, but I was feeling good and decided to just do it.

I RAN the whole thing in 38:04 , and I felt great. I was dragging a bit in the end, but I still can't believe that I did it.

My reward - A choc blizzard, NOW THAT I DID NOT NEED!!! but hey every now and again does not hurt ----- right??!!

P.S. When you add in my 3 (crazy) hours of PT this week, I may just have a great week (on paper that is:laughing: )

Hey guys! Sorry I've been absent. It's been a crazy few weeks. Here are my numbers for last week (April 5-11):

70.5 miles
8.25 hours

Great job, everyone, on the hours and miles. I see that many people got in some good biking this weekend. I had forgotten that we were doing that this weekend, or I probably would have extended my Saturday biking longer than an hour. Oh well. Looks like you guys will be picking up my slack! :)

Have a great week, everyone!

Steve

Thanks Steve for the numbers, no excuses are necessary. And that holds true for everyone.

For you Steve, I don't have any miles or hours for April 1 - 4. You may have given it to me, but I missed it. If you could give it to me again, I would appreciate it.

Thanks for all the miles and times everyone, as always we are in the mix.

Craig

Hello Scott

I am very confused. I am inputing data into a different spreadsheet, but those numbers are in the sheet you linked to me, precisely up to the week of April 4-11.

The sheet I'm inputing was sent to me right at the beginning with an invitation for me to join, which I did. As long as my work gets linked into whatever sheet is the true score, we're good, otherwise I have a problem.

Craig

Craig -

No problem :) Because of errors in the way the original sheet was making some calculations, along with the fact that the creator of the sheet denied admin access to anyone else and she cannot be successfully contacted, we created the new sheet to which I linked you to above. You should have received an invitation to be a collaborator (and give you the access you need) via e-mail on Saturday morning...if you didn't, let me know and I can resend it :)

All of the data from the old sheet was transferred to the new sheet. I may have confused you by adding Steve's numbers in this morning while I was making some other modificaitons.

Windwalker Dave made an announcement on Saturday morning regarding use of the updated sheet, but the threads were moving so quickly it got buried pretty fast.

So the short story is that the new sheet is here:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=ppYit0DjqjVcAhKsgnZ6hOA&hl=en

We should use it going forward :goodvibes:

Hope this clears things up :thumbsup2

Hi Rabbits,

My numbers for April 5-11:

hours 4.3
miles 19.1

Now for my excuses: :rotfl2:
I was _planning_ to get my bike out of the shed on Thursday, but we got 8" of snow. The snow is now long gone, but I was very busy all weekend and haven't got to it yet. I am hoping to get it out sometime this week. :rolleyes1

Thanks Scott

I do have access to the new sheet and input Carol's numbers just now successfully.

As the Grandfather says at the end of the kitchen scene in Moonstruck, "I'm confused."

Craig

Hi Bunnies,

...super swamped!!! Minnie Marathon Weekend on the horizon, so I'm packing in the work hours ($$ for trip!).

April 5-11:

miles - 43
hours - 6.5 hours

Take care,

Teri

Hello felllow bunnies!!

Posted this on the weekly board but had to let my teammates know.

Can't remember who I first read mentioning the Chi Walking/Running but to anyone who did - THANK YOU!!

Did 4.22 miles yesterday w/o stopping, no shin pain and my best time so far! First 2.11 were at 15.8 mpm; second 2.11 at 15.0 mpm! I was soo thrilled. The entire 4 miles at right around the 15 mark and w/o pain. That for me is a big deal. The Chi technique seems to be the form best for me and yesterday was the first time using it and it shows. Believe me....I noticed....

Sorry to run on about it, but I was really excited last night and am now looking forward to Saturday's 10K and the Minnie even more!

Liz

In the running game "no pain, no gain," will get you on injured reserve for many days or weeks. When you hurt you cannot just run through it, you need to do something about it.

The fact that you eased off and are pain free and building is totally excellent dude! Take care, build slowly, and be sure to listen to your body. When it asks for rest be sure to give it.

Craig

Liz: CONGRATS on the great run!! :thumbsup2 I've been trying to follow the chi principles myself and until this week was doing great. But I don't think it's the chi running that's my problem...instead it's my lack of rest. Sooo...I'm being a lazy bum today ;).

ok, what is Chi running?? you all are holding out aren't you?! LOL

I am so excited, I actually have numbers to share this week!!!   (that is if I'm still part of the team ;) )

Miles--9.5
Hours--2.5

Do I get to count that triple? One set for me, one set for the baby, and one set for Hines??? :thumbsup2

Krista

Hi everyone - PT is killing me, but I have been able to do 4 extra miles on the bike there. So that is about the only plus though..........I ran one day after PT and I thought my head was going to fall off of neck it hurt so bad. So I had a brillant idea to Run BEFORE PT, well I ran in tights and a black shirt... IT IS HOT!!!!!!!! again I felt like I was dying. I just can't catch a break

Here are my totals:

Time - 285 minutes (PT counted cause I sweat like a pig and I am using weights, which is a slow death  )

Miles - 13.7

Hope everyone had a better week than me!! But hey I am going to keep going. I hope to do my LR again on Sunday like I did last week, plus NO PT this weekend

First the numbers for Apr 12-18

hours 2.35
miles 10.7

Now the story

I am supposed to have my first race on Sunday. Right now I'm kind of 50/50 as to whether I hope they cancel it. I have had some pain in my right ankle, that hasn't been too bad, but nagging. After my run (outside) on Wednesday, it was hurting quite a bit, so I decided to take a few days off. I am in the midst of my days off now, and hoping it will feel better for Sunday. The reason I think they might cancel the race is the weather forecast. Right now it says snow, temperature -9C (16F), and wind out of the north at 20km/h (13mph). Not really what I want for my first race, especially since it was +25C (77F) last weekend. I just found out that they are having a meeting at 4pm today to decide if they are going to cancel. I'm really not sure which way I'm hoping they go.

Howdy Rabbits!

Totals for April 12-18
Miles: 72.5
Hours: 7.9

Hi fellow bunnies!!

Totals for the week:
18.25 miles
4 hours

Not the stellar mileage and hours others are doing, but at least I'm contributing.

blizzard: I hope the outcome is what you want--i.e. run if you want or not. You should have fun during the race; if not, you shouldn't do it. But, well, I'm not sure I'd run with that kind of weather forecast! :scared1: Better there than here, though!

swim-mom: so sorry to here PT is killing you but hope it's working! Great job on adding 4 miles to it all! Yes, I agree that PT counts for the week's totals; it certainly is a workout! :thumbsup2

Krista: you can count those any way you want to! I'm not gonna argue with a pregnant woman, nosireee!!!

I've got 8 miles on tap for today and it's supposed to be in the upper 60s so I'm going to run this afternoon. I need to heat to "prep" for Minnie!

Happy training everyone!

Bonjour tout le monde (practicing for next month)

I have the weekly numbers for April 12-18 in the new and correct score sheet up to this point.

Krista

Too bad we cannot give you 3x numbers. If Scott would just get pregnant and get a black lab, then we'd surely find a way to do that. I think you're doing great by staying with us, and August will be in soon enough.

S-M

It is tough to find that line between good and effective PT vs. too much work. Good luck with it.

Carol

Good luck with that as well. There are few things as disappointing as being mentally and physically ready for a race and having the weather either cause a cancel or make it so miserable that you would have been better off stating in bed. Kind of like the 2007 WDW half and full.

Scott and Martha

You guys are piling on the miles and times, helping our side.

We've actually had warm weather here, not Florida heat so I'm sure I'll be unprepared for the Minnie 15K, but warm for us. It was 78 when I went out yesterday afternoon, planning on 9. I had felt like garbage all day Friday, semi-sick to stomach and bad headache, but I knew I had to gt out in the heat to give my body some feel for what's coming on May 4. It never really felt right, maybe 400 meters of nirvana, and the rest was a grind. I was on the dirt paths, the high school track, and some roads, and circled back to the track for mile 4 in 9:28, and the last mile in 8:58. After about 8 1/3 I declared victory and stopped. 9 would have been nice, but it wasn't going to happen yesterday.

Best
Craig
