Team 8 Jessica's Rabbits Bios and Info

Hello Everyone

It looks like we're back on the Saturday to Friday cycle of reporting, so I need everyone's number for Saturday April 5 to Friday April 11.

Tomorrow is a rest day for me, so I have my week over and numbers in the book. I have time for only 1 more real fast and 1 more real long workout before backing off. Saturday is the fast one, so hopefully I'll have fresh legs after the day off.

Hello team!! Don't forget that this weekend is the very first

Bunny Bike-a-thon!!

From Friday thru Sunday, let's see how many miles we can rack up as a team!! Add a few miles to your road ride, hop on the stationary at the gym, dust off the old 10 speed that's in the garage, anything that might help rack up some miles this weekend :goodvibes:

If you don't have a bike, shoot for an extra walk, or an extra 15 minutes on your favorite gym equipment...anything that pushes our normal numbers up a bit!!

Good luck to everyone and let's really have some fun this weekend while we show the other teams that these bunnies mean business :thumbsup2

my name is Helen and I am a bad bunny (well at least I think I still am!). I went on holiday and then got back to deadline madness and two four day weeks, and I just couldn't get on here. I've been running though so at least I'm not totally hopeless! Do you still need me - if you do, craig, can you pm me your email, to be honest, I don't know how often I'll get on here to post (as i get sucked in for ages and so tend to stay away totally when I'm busy) but I would be able to email - Helen

Helen

I'll be glad to pm you my e-mail. For everyone I'll post it here, since finding me on google is pretty easy. If you need to reach me, send it to stephenson@babson.edu.

Okay, I wouldn't dare post this on the weekly thread since it's shameless bragging, but since we're a team I figure it's okay.

Today it's cool, little wind and very scattered showers, and it's good it's a bit damp, otherwise I would have set fire to the high school track today!

This is my last hard and pure speed workout before the Minnie 15K, and this is what I did:

1/2 mile w-u in 4:41
1 mile in 8:17
1/2 mile recovery in 4:36
1 mile in 8:06
1/2 mile recovery in 4:26
1 mile in 7:45

I am flying high right now. The easy halfs were just that, I didn't push it at all and tried to relax and let it flow. Combined they were 1.5 miles in 13:43 or 9:09 per mile.

In the hard repeats I tried to relax while pushing the pace. The last mile I was trying to go under 8, but even that one I never had it flat out. So today I learned I can run 8 minute miles without straining. I'm positive I cannot run 9 of these in a string, but I'm pleased to say the least.

I'm sure the cool weather, ideal really, had an impact, so I have to be careful in the first 2-3 miles of Minnie. But this makes me pretty optomistic about a nice 15K on May 4. If I can show some sense in the first third of the race, perhaps I can finish with elan and get a nice result.

:tiptoe: Geez, it looks like now I'm going to have to bike this weekend, too, just in hopes of lagging not-quite-so-far behind this group of overachieving running rabbits & biking bunnies?

And if I do, does this mean I can skip my LR? Please, pretty please?? :lmao:

You're a great team!!! And WTG, Craig, on your speed work!

:tiptoe:

Craig - WOW! Super speedy pace -you're going to have a great race at Minnie :thumbsup2

Scott - Sorry I won't be able to participate in the Bunny Bike a Thon this weekend - parades, birthday parties, etc fill up the weekend. I'll try to get some extra miles on the bike next week.

My numbers for the week:

Time: 2.8 hours
Miles: 23 miles

Hi everyone -

I got news from my Dr - No surgery as of right now, he wants to try PT for 3 days a week X 4 weeks. Then the dr will re-eval what he is going to do. He is hoping that I make a 20% change otherwise he will revisit a neck fusion.

GOOD NEWS!! I am still able to run, but I have to really listen to my body (ok my Neck) :) For right now I can do 3-4 days of running, mileage has to remain under 4 miles at a time though depending on how I feel.

I will be running tonight, and over the weekend............but again I am limited, Sorry :sad1:

****Question- **** can I count PT in my time ??? it is 3 hours of exercise for my cervial neck and upper body.........PLEASE, PLEASE :confused3

Craig: GREAT RUN!!! Congrats...I know that must feel REALLY good! :thumbsup2

Swim-Mom: So glad to hear it's not MS AND that you don't need surgery! Good luck as you move forward and continue to heal and work through the pain! As for PT...it can be pretty darn exhausting and is definitely exercise, depending on what they have you do. I say use your best judgement and if you are working hard to strengthen those muscles then absolutely it counts as a workout.

My numbers...

Hours: 10.93
Miles: 34.16

Wanted to add another 10 in there this week but I was a total lazy bum today and never did manage to get on the bike trainer. Ugh :(.

What's up Rabbits???

Anyone get some extra bike time in today????? (I did!)

My totals for April 5 - 11:
Total miles: 72.85
Total hours: 8.72

Hoping to get a long bike ride in tomorrow after the storms pass in the morning, then get a long run plus some additional bike time in on Sunday :goodvibes:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Rack up those miles!!

I did my extra bike session today, so I'll have some extra miles this week.

Best
Craig

Hi Bunnies, you guys are awesome. Scott thanks for your work on the spreadsheet.

Wonderfull idea about the bike-a-thon, of course I will never tell the other teams about that. (Hee Hee), Especiallyt the tripple Ds who are hunting you furry hides.

Calico I couldn't do a PM to you about the spreadsheet, do you have a Panda block on it?

Impressed Panda:hippie:

Hi everyone -

Here are my times:

Milegae - 9.3 miles
Time - 102 minutes

I am hopefully adding in a 4th day, this coming week!

Sorry guys I am limited, but starting next week I will have 3 hours of PT to add (but that is only for a month)

Howdy bunnies :)

Just reporting that I stretched my normal Saturday 20 mile bike ride into an enduring 30 miler :goodvibes:

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Howdy team!

It's been a long long time since I've contributed anything here. Sorry! It seems as though I have spent the entire winter battling one cold or another.

I think it is because this is my first year working in a hospital. Anyway, the weather is warming up and my latest cold seems to be clearing up. (I've had this one since Easter!) Here's my miles/times for week ending April 11th.

04/06 - Martian 1/2 Marathon 13.1 miles (3 hours 46 minutes)
04/08 - Stair climbing at work - 15 minutes

Hope everyone has a good week!

Hi guys!!
Here is my week total:
9.0 miles
2.0 hours

However, thanks to Scott's motivation, i will be starting this week with more than all of last weeks miles combined!

I truly want to THANK YOU SCOTT, for the motivation, because of you - and your biker bunny idea, i dusted off my ol' mount. bike (literally, it was so nasty dirty!!) and filled the tires, and headed to the bike path near us today after church - I ended up doing 70 minutes and biking for 12 miles!!! Now, this may not seem all that much to those of you who have biked regularly, but i haven't been on a bike in 8 years!!!
And i feel so good about it! I hope i can do this at least once a week now!
Thanks again scott!!

GREAT JOB STACY!!! I took my bike out yesterday, I only had 30 minutes so I didn't get the miles in that everyone else may have but you're right. It felt sooo good! I've been biking on the trainer but it's so much nicer to go outdoors :).

Mousemgr: Congrats on doing the Half! Those miles count DOUBLE! So you had an awesome week!! :thumbsup2

Erin: Awesome week! :worship:

Scott: As always, you never cease to amaze me with all the workouts you squeeze into a week. SUPER EFFORT and wtg on the 30 Miler!

Hello Everyone!

Been busy weekend here so just a quick hop by to post last week's numbers.

15.11 miles
3.1 hrs

Will try to catch up with everyone tomorrow.

Have a good eve!

Good evening, fellow Bunnies ! (and lurking pandas)
Chicago did not benefit from bike-worthy weather this weekend, but it is looking like a great week coming up.
Too busy to get any miles this weekend, will make up for it during the week.
Liz has a new bike (as of Saturday) so we'll be putting it through it's paces and finding out just how fast her new steed can go.
Congrats to all on their accomplishments, and I'll leave you with my meager numerical offerings.

17.4 miles, 3.0 hours

Great week, everyone ! GO Bunnies !!!!

Patrick

Good evening WISHers and fellow bunnies!

I started a post earlier but didn't finish it.

Not a bad week for me. Through April 11, I offer the following:
21.69 miles
3.5 hours

Not as good as some, but it's something.

Had a very frustrating day. Our gym is a POS and has become too frustrating. I had a bad experience at the grocery store and then lost the car in the parking lot. I went to get lunch, ordered and realized that I had no money (and they don't take credit cards). I decided to stay in the house, sulk and starve all day!

Patrick: have fun with the biking!!

Amy: :worship: YOU are amazing!!

Caitsmama: WTG on getting outside on the bike!! I only have the gym for that (when they don't make me mad). Hope it was enjoyable!

mousemgr2: sounds like you could use a  Hope the colds stay at bay for the rest of the year!!

Stitch_love_sith
: you so totally rock!! I am not worthy.

ScoJo15: WTG on the bike ride. 30 miles--woo hoo!!

Calcio: :love2:

I'm seriously thinking of joining a different gym. Maybe this is what I need to jump-start my workouts. They are waiving the registration fee........
