Team 8 Jessica's Rabbits Bios and Info

1.45 hours
5.0 miles

my total from 4/1-4/4.

Not a good week for me, but one of my most active ones!

4.09 miles in 1 hour (60 min of course!) That is two days, one walk/running, and one walk day. Looking at it, I guess it really isn't that bad, considering I had one day a walk day.

I hope to be showing some improvement on my pace soon!

My Update!

Today was my last day of C25K. Nine weeks of training down, only another 92 weeks until the 2010 Marathon! :scared:

I would be in for a Rabbit Team "bike-a-thon". Especially if we hold it over a few days, because I can't always go outside on a given day. I need to get my bike out of the shed and get it ready for the season. This sounds like a great reason to do so.

My numbers for March 29-31:
hours 1.67
miles 7.2

My numbers for April 1-4:
hours 2.33
miles 10.5

Total for the Week March 29 - April 4
hours 4
miles 17.7

[I know I mentioned last week that my numbers hadn't been put in for March 15-21. Now that you have put them in, I see what happened the first time. My numbers for that week were put into Bigger Tigger's slot. So, now they need to be removed from there. Sorry for bugging you. I appreciate all the work you put in to keep track of everybody! :worship: ]

Carol, CONGRATS on finishing the C25K!!!!!!!!!!!

Afternoon All

I believe I have everything in for March, and the data people have given me for April 1-4. We'll be a bit light for this reporting week, but we'll roar back in the month I have no doubt. And Carol, thanks, I believe I have the March 15-21 corrected.

I did some opponent's research in the 2 teams that look to be our primary rivals, and the funny thing is each team has 1 member really holding them up. In one team it is Ironz (who I don't know) who had > 1/3 of his/her teams' miles in March. In the other it is DKP, the lovely Debra, who is driving her team forward.

Our team is significantly different. We have people putting in big numbers, but nothing like the 500+ for Ironz. We have many people > 100 and a few > 200, and that's what is keeping us up there. So the moral is we have a really deep squad, which I think is "sweet."

Craig

Hello Team...

OK...so my numbers for April 1- April 4:

Miles: 27.25
Hours: 6.55

Had a great tempo run today. Did my 3 miles in 24:35 :cool1: . Finished with an easy mile to flush the legs out. Felt like I might vomit though after the 3 miles LOL!

Craig, i agree, we have a LOT of players contributing great numbers on a weekly basis. We are consistent and will remain in the mix for the long haul! :thumbsup2

I guess we'll be back to the Sat-Fri reporting schedule for next week right?

My totals for the first few days of April...

3.1 hours
18.7 miles

:goodvibes Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Kathy

Hello Team!

My totals for April 1-4
17.36 miles
3 hours

Actually have decent weather so was able to get out on bike yesterday for nice 9 mile ride. Would've been longer but had leg weight workout with trainer on Thursday so legs were not in the mood for longer ride. That and I was starving.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi Rabbits!!

My totals for April 1-4

Total Miles: 30.4
Total Hours: 4.32

I'm glad to see the support behind a "bike-a-thon" / "Bunny Bikefest" / "Rabbit's Rally". So I propose that we tentatively set it for next weekend (Fri-Sun)...I like the idea of a weekend event, since that will allow for inclement weather and hectic schedules. The goal will be to bike as many miles as possible for the three days. Throw in an extra 15 minutes on the bike at the fitness center...dust off the bike from the garage and take it for a spin around the block...stretch out that normal long wekeend ride another 5 miles or so...whatever you can do to increase the miles for the weekend. Let's show the other teams that we mean business!!

(if you don't have a bike or access to a stationary one, go for an extra walk or run...knock out 15 extra minutes of XT...whatever you can do to push out some miles :) )

That's it for now!

Hop on!

Ok Scott!!! Man, now i gotta dig out the ol' bike from the shed, and put some air in those ol' tires!!
Lucky for me, i have a BEAUTIFUL senic bike path not far from my house!!

Great numbers for your days there scott -- 30 miles! Wow...

And just when i was getting off the tm and thrilled b/c i just did my best ever, 3.0 miles in 41.12 - it was only my second time doing 3 miles.. so go easy on this newbie! LOL

**Dumb Question alert!** Are MP3 players allowed for the Minnie 5k??

Ok, just read in the final instructions that headphones are NOT allowed.. YIKES!! I have never run without my music!! :( Sorry,i know this must be basic info, but i am a total newbie, and being my first race, i didn't know what to expect.. i am slightly bummed about this!!

Sorry I am late, but I thought that I posted on Fri when I was at my MIL. However, it appears as though it never went through....................

April 1 - 4

miles - 6.2
Time - 70 minutes

Sorry I cant do more a week, but I have a neck problem that I am now waiting the MRI results to see if I need surgery. I will keep you posted but right now I have to follow drs orders and only do 3 days a week limited to 3 miles at a time.

Hello!

April 1-4:

36 miles
3 hours

Take care!

Teri

Mornin' teammates!

Caitsmama: I was also concerned about my concentration when I found out I couldn't wear headphones in a race. This was a couple years ago but I found that there was enough excitment and distractions during the race that the headphones weren't necessary. I actual found that if I used them, I missed out on a lot of stuff during the race. I do understand the logic behind not allowing headphones. I say (and I know this will get me into trouble here) that if they ban headphones then they MUST ban babyjoggers! I've been run off the road enough by those things during races. Give it a try and see what happens. The Minnie 5K is a great place to try it.

My totals for April 1-4 are shameful and I refuse to tell anyone but the mighty Calcio about them. I have a 7 mile run scheduled for today so that will somewhat redeem me but not for the first 4 days of the month. I am so not worthy of this team.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Thanks Martha! I think i will be ok without them, the more i think about it. :) You might see me talking to myself.. but other than that i think i'll survive.. LOL ;)

Hello Rabbit Friends,

I have been offline for a few weeks here; Life has most certainly gotten in the way, with work being more hectic than it ever has been. I inherited a whole new department to manage, with 4 people. Of those 4, one had jury duty, one has been out for 2 weeks on a family death, and one was on a honeymoon all last week. Makes me want to just flip fries, so I didn't have to THINK. :headache: :headache: :headache:

Any way, I did a 12k last Sunday (3/30). That was 7.52 miles in 1:29. It seems that March has been closed out - Craig, can my mileage be added to that, please, especially since that's a race?:flower3:

Since then, I have only run one more day - April 1st, 2 miles in 21 minutes. Like I said, Life is in the way.

I hope to be back on track next week. Hope all is well - I miss you guys...

I did my LR for the week today (i know.. a monday?), and it was FANTASTIC (at least for me). My last LR was 4 miles in 56 min, 38 sec. Some of you read how bad of a run that was for me. The humidity and the bug...yeah.

Anyway, this week, it was great! I walked about 2 miles after work then went home to sleep for quite a few hours! I made myself to the LR today instead of tomorrow. Well, it was 5 miles today, and I did it in 1 hour and 31 SECONDS! From a week ago, having a very bad 14 min mile to having a 12 min mile! That is just amazing to me! I am getting so much better!

Just a swoop in as i'm tired. Hope everyone is doing well this week!

Hi everyone - I got my MRI results yesterday here they are:

Herniation at C4-5 with mild impingement of the thecal sac. At C6 there is a lesion consistant with atypical hemangioma. The radiologist is requesting clinical correlation.

So this is what I found out (my dr appt is Wen) : C4-5 is pressing against my nerve causing my neck pain and weakness and lack of upper body strength. Now C6 is a bruise on my spinal cord. The clinical correlation means the radiologist wants to cover his but and wants either further tests (like Catscan) or the Dr. to confirm that is what it is and not a cyst or a tumor.

I don't go till tomorrow, but I just want to let everyone know that at this point MS is ruled out!!!!

I figure I need surgery for fix the herniation,,,,,,,,no biggie I keep telling myself since it could be worse.

Thanks again for all of your support I am running today, one last time before I got to the dr tomorrow and he changes his mind and says NO RUNNING

***NEWS FLASH***

I actually contributed to our team's mileage this week. I know, I know, what a shocker. ;) ;) 3.5 miles in roughly 48 minutes, I didn't have my Garmin with me, so that time is a guesstimate, but a pretty good one I think. Maybe I can get another walk in or a stationary ride and actually be part of this great team again! :thumbsup2

Krista

Let's see if I've redeemed myself.

Sunday: 7.25 miles running, 79 minutes
Monday: 8 miles biking, 40 min
Tuesday: 3 miles running, 33 min

I still have one more day to go this week. Well, it will contribute but it's not the high numbers others on the team can do.

Swim-Mom: happy to hear it's not MS! Yea! But, um, OUCH!!! That sounds horrible. Surgery on your back? Yikes! Let us know how it goes and when it's gonna happen. We'll send happy thoughts to you.

DisneyDudet: so happy to hear you had a good LR and and great pace! Some runs are just bad and others remind you of why you do it. This was one of the latter runs. Good for you!

BiggerTigger: so sorry to hear how things are at work. Inheriting something should be good, not a department where everyone is out of the office for one reason or another! Not good. Hope things get better soon.

Krista: every little bit helps. How are you doing? Got the nursery ready yet?

Tomorrow is an off day so I think I'll do it really well. Have a good evening everyone!
