TEAM #6: OHANA-No One Gets Left Behind:Post your miles/hours here

I hope everyone's having a fantastic weekend!

DAILY/SESSION TOTALS:
W/O Miles: 21.40, 23.47, 23.70; 0, 23.82, 4.50, 26.13
W/O Time: 2:00, 2:15, 2:15, 1:00, 2:15, 1:20, 2:30
Ped./Comm. Miles: 2.6
Ped./Comm. Time: 44 minutes

DETAILS
• Running/Walking/RW: Treadmill and pavement.
• XT activities: Circuit and strength training (incl. free weights, circuit training, core work, and flexibility exercises), elliptical trainer, and stationary bicycling. Missed yoga this week, but got back into rowing!
• Pedestrian/Commuter Miles are “walking with a purpose” to/from neighborhood destinations (between 15:00-17:00 mm in regular conditions); they do not include walking inside a destination or between destinations within a neighborhood (i.e. this is just commute time). I also count pedestrian strolls with my partner. Pedestrian/Commuter miles have been low  because of the rain & flooded sidewalks.

GRAND TOTALS
TOTAL MILES: 125.62 miles (16.67 miles R, RW, or W for those who care)
TOTAL TIME: 14:19 (or 14.32 using decimals)

Hi Team O'hana :)

Debra: I've been meaning to tell you that I really think your stronger runs are due in large part to your incredible cross training! You are so well rounded in your workouts...it's truly impressive to me. Way to go on another stellar week!

Christa: wOW! LOVE your goals for the month. Holy smokes...that's Majorly impressive. How many days a week do you ride? I'm hoping once the weather gets better to get out on the bike for two long rides per week. :) Great week.

You guys are ALL doing well! Such impressive totals week in and out!

PD Denny for you knee! Somehow I missed that in an earlier post. Heal up so you're ready for the next Goofy!!! :)

Total for this week...

25.45 miles (11.65 miles r/w, the rest were cross training)
4 hours 11 minutes

Here's mine:

I have 12.4 miles this week, 159.28 min.

This is the 2nd week of my two week No Running Vacation so all my miles are from riding. I'm back to running tomorrow which is a good thing because I put on a few pounds over the last week.

Yesterday I did the Clean Air Ride Century. I did not double the miles from the 100 mile bike ride since it was not a race, but a charity event.

Miles - 123.8
Time - 9:05

Thanks so much for doing this, Jen! :lovestruc I had such a wonderful weekend with my family and guest and it was a real treat not having to worry about checking in here to do the postings. Best of all, my son in NYC was able to join us very spur of the moment. Around 7:30 Wednesday evening we were speaking on the phone lamenting that he would not be with us when I decided to check the Greyhound schedules. He was on a bus shortly after midnight and home by noon Thursday! What a great surprise. Hope everyone else had a great weekend.
Thanks again, Jen!

No problem Jeanne. I actually did it last night as I was lounging with an extremely full belly from Easter dinner!!!!

I guess I thought if I put this off long enough, I wouldn't have to post my zero miles/zero minutes. But, Dennis has miles and minutes, so here they are:

Week of 3/15 - 3/21:

Maria - on a mental vacation

Dennis -- 12.45 miles/180 minutes

Sorry, I forgot to post my miles for last week. I guess I got distracted by the Easter Bunny over the weekend.

9.75 miles / 1 hr 50 min

Ok I'm a dummy, but what the heck is a CPM unit? Is that like Judy's crosstraining?

Curious Panda:hippie:

CPM is Continuous Passive Motion. It is a machine I hooke to my leg that bends it to keep range of motion while recovering. I will be hooked up for 6-8 for the next month. Here is a pic of them http://www.medical-parts.com/

BTW: Here are Linda's and mine hrs and miles.

8.5 miles & 5 1/2 hrs.

No more miles for us for a while. I check in on Thurs at 6:30 am, surgery at 7:30 and hope to be done by 10:30am. Recovery room until 12:30 and stay in my room until noon on Fri :( Linda will be watching over for me the 2 days while in the hospital and the weekend. I won't be posting for awhile either.

Good luck team and keep up the good work!

It's none of my business, this is not my team, but that has never stopped me before. Erica is on injured reserve since she can't do any training right now on sore bunions. She will be recovering for another 4 weeks after the Apr 11 surgery. So the other members of Hakuna Matata are doing an extra mile or two each week for her so she can recover without feeling guilty about not contribuiting. It's also good motivation to go just a bit more than they would have without having the Erica mile to do. I mention this since you kind and caring folks will also have an injured warrior who will be recovering.

As many of you know I'm an old combat vet from the days when war was not the same as it is now. It was fighting deep in the jungles, miles from friendly forces. When we had a fellow warrior injured we covered for him and tried our best to get them home safe, because the next one injured could be us and we knew they would cover for us.:grouphug:

Again none of my business but....

Jeanne I will be giving you an hour every week to post under Roberts name. I'll do an hour of stretching for him so maybe the dumb bunny will take the hint and start stretching when he is healed.

Thanks Dave:thumbsup2

I will have to research this "stretching" thing on the internet while I am recovering in my chair this weekend:rolleyes1

Hi! I'm Ashley and I'm new to Team Ohana! I'm excited to be here and back on board the WISH Wagon.

I am training for a few races, running and cycling (not really racing in either category, but training and having fun getting there).

Now what do I do?

Thanks!
Ashley

Welcome Ashley! This is really our posting of the miles thread...go to the other Ohana...Chek in and introduce thread and that is where the chatting is on.
Glad you are on our team!

As a late joiner I just keep track of minutes for this week, right? Or do you want my times from earlier?

This team is looking quite impressive by the totals! Are we able to view our team totals and other teams' as well?

And just barely under the wire for going into the next week....Corinna appears. I've been in Vegas, but somehow last week, getting ready to trave

Week beginning 3/15
3/16 - St. Patrick's Day Human Race - 3.1 Miles, 31:16, plus .5 miles, 11 minutes for the kids races - those probably don't count double....
3/20 Kung Fu - 60 min....including breaking "practice boards" yowsa.

So I guess that is 6.7 miles and....do the minutes for a race count double as well or is it just the miles? Well, it's either 133:32 or 102:16, I think.

Okay, I tabulated my backlogged miles from when I was officially sent the message that I was on Team Ohana, and here it is:

Week of 3/10 - 3/14

12 miles/5 hr, 25 min. (combined workout total minutes)

Week of 3/15 - 3/21

10 race miles (double to 20, right); 2 race hours
3 hr, 30 min. (other workout minutes)

Week of 3/22 - current

10 miles/6 hr, 10 min. (combined workout total minutes)

When I say combined workout total minutes I am trying to say that I am including minutes other than running. Do you want more detail, such as elliptical, etc.? Please let me know if I am doing this right!

Where can we see team totals?? How does this all get figured out? Oh well, I'm used to not knowing stuff...

Happy Almost Friday!:woohoo:
Ashley
