Teacher Vent

My daughter caught a cold coming home from school.

The teacher gave her a flower for a prize and she didn't want to crush it so she didn't button up her coat.

She is running a temperature (just a teensie one)

I can understand your being upset that your daughter didn't button her coat, but a cold is caused by a virus, not by exposure to cold weather.

Not sure what these previous posts mean, but let me assure you, your DD did not catch a cold on her way home. She had already been exposed to the virus, and coincedence played the roll of fooling you. I do think that the teacher showed a lack of judgment, but nothing more.

Hope DD is better soon!
