There are tons of teacher discounts out there.

Specifically for Disney trips and/or resorts, welll there is the Swan/Dolphin deal , the YES program and I have seen some programs for FL teachers.

In Non - Disney world news, there are discounts available.

1) NY & Company--show your ID and get 15% off
2) Staples Rewards-- sign up for a Staples Teacher Rewards
3) Goodwill (may be local)


There are other discount programs and I can think of those later or others can add to it.

It is basically the same room discount as the government rate. Usually $129 a night in low season, $149 a night regular season, and $179 a night high season. We find that by the time we pay resort fee and parking we would rather stay onsite and get the dining plan. We save more.

for the swan and Dolphin you have to be a na active school system employee with empolyee ID or pay stub.

I don't remember specifically. There is a box to check on their website if you are purchasing on line. The use the honor system.

Half Price Books also has a teacher discount program. I think it's 10% off your entire purchase.

I was in Borders the other day and overheard the discussion between the customer in front of me and the employee.

The employee asked the customer if all these books were for her classroom. When the customer said no, the employeed told her that the only ones elligible for the discount were ones that she would be using for her classroom...

At about that time I got called over to another register so I didn't hear the rest of the conversation...

So I don't know if this was for some type of discount beyond the "normal"? Or maybe an ill-informed employee?

hmm.. My teacher discount is the only discount that LOFT does let me combine with other offers.

The Theater Development Fund gives great discounts on many NYC shows. The annual fee is only around $26.
