Teacher discount N/A;help me choose AP rate at Swan, POFQ, or CBR

I booked the Swan for Mar 25-29 through DU at AP rate, not being sure if my mother (who qualifies for the teacher rate) was going to come along.I didn't want to take a chance on missing the AP rate if I booked at teacher rate and then couldn't use it.So, of course now she will be coming, but the teacher rate is no longer available! In the meantime, I booked the CBR at 121.00/night, and the POFQ is also available at that rate.I'm having a hard time making a decision because I just can't get it out of my head that what I really want is the teacher's rate at the Swan!!We've stayed at the Dolphin before and just love the location-catching the boats to DS or Epcot is SO convenient, but that extra 40.00/ night would be a nice meal for my daughter and me!Should I just keep the CBR or POFQ res and cancel if the Swan teacher's rate becomes available? Wonder what the chances are that it will? As for the moderates, I'm having a hard time choosing because I like the location of the CBR(closer to DS and Epcot), but I also like that POFQ is a much smaller resort. Both seem beautiful.
I just wish I had booked the teacher rate in the first place!I did ask Bob at DU to please change it if it becomes available. I think I have to be prepared, though, that it very well may not happen-I see that AP rates are no longer avaiable for those dates now.

Try calling the Swan directly. Sometimes they will still have rooms available at the Teacher rate when other sources (internet, etc.) are gone.

Either call the Swan or Dolphin directly (I used 1-800-227-1500 the other day and you can book either one at this number) or use the Dreams Unlimited link on this site to check availability and book online.

Did you ask Dreams Unlimited to get you the teacher's rate? Bob at DU has switched us back and forth between Swan and Dolphin AND got us a PS at Ohana on Valentine's Day-all with less lag time than you are talking about (we are nurse's rate). His email is bob@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com.

definately try dreamsunlimited. Also the swan and dolphin "open" up more rates generally of friday morning so be persistant it should pay off

Yes, I asked Bob to book it if it became available; he emailed me this morning and said that he would, but that he didn't expect it to , as the hotel is filling up.Still gonna keep those fingers crossed, though!
