Many years ago we did the Character Tea party, then at the Plaza gardens - is this still done but at the Cowboy Cookout? I cant find any details/prices timings etc? Does anyone know?

yes, its from 4.30pm to 6pm each day, at the Cowboy Cookout. Same deal, its a dessert buffet with hot/cold drinks. The current prices are £16 per person.

You have to watch out for when you book it as the reservation ticket says it starts at 5 when it actually starts at 4:30 and we only found this out by chance(we got there early). The price is 19 euros(so roughly £16 like said in above post) and they have a selection of cakes, fruit salad(which was horrible), pancakes with choice of sauce(chocolate and caramel) and sweets plus hot and cold drinks. The characters we saw were Mickey,Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Woody who were fantastic and so were the CM's although the one who showed us in the restaurant thought we only just arrived when we had already paid and been there for 2 hrs and kept telling us the price of the meal when we was on our way out.

is it worth it? It sounds good because of the character interaction, but you'd still have to go for dinner :confused3

We got round that by having a main meal at lunchtime. Couldn't go on rides straight after but got round that by walking around and taking in the atmosphere and going to the shows at Studios Park. I would say that yes it is definately worth doing it. The character interaction was fantastic and the desserts were yum! Just don't do what I did and eat too much too soon. Pace it out!

I did this last year and I loved it. The charachters were great, and we had an amazing hour. We took a larger lunch at Café Mickey's that day, and than at 5 PM we took the tea party.
The choses of the cake's were limeted but for us It was worth the money !

We also had a bigger meal at lunchtime. The kids were happy to fill up on cake and didn't have anything else to eat for the rest of the day. My husband and I just grabbed a sandwich from the station shop to eat later on in the evening. :goodvibes

You could always get a sandwich at Earl of Sandwich to eat in the room later :goodvibes

have just updated my pic from last yrs disasterous rainy trip and a new count down signature let the planning begin :cool1:

so sorry this was meant to be a new thread
