Tea at GF

We went to the tea for our 20th anniversary in June. We had ordered a Cinderella Slipper & a Mickey dessert from the bakery & they were beautiful (yummy too). I also have a seafood allergy & I was able to substitute for the shrimp salad for something else. We (dh, dd17, dd13 & myself) all enjoyed it. This is the regular tea room, not the little "princess" tea. Very elegant & relaxing. It was not crowded, but there were other families & couples there when we went, so dh wasn't the only male in the place. He enjoyed it as much as we girls & it will be on our list of things to do on our next visit. We didn't see anything sitting out - there were large, covered silver servers that they used. Everything was beautifully presented.

What was the Mickey dessert?

PS--Can you pre-order the Cindy's slipper dessert for the tea, and if so, what # do you call?

Yes you can pre-order for the Tea. I did it in the fall. Word to the wise though I was doing it as a suprise for my mom (the desserts that is (mini wedding cake and slipper)) and I had to ask the server about it. Then they only brought the slipper and I was like no I have one more so they had to go look for that again. Well the manager ended up coming over and asking if we were celebrating anything special and if he could do anything for us I said no because it wasn't the end of the world. So if you do it be sure to make mention at the podium when you check in.

I have two numbers that I used

GF Main number 407-824-3000 (I asked to be connected to the bakery I got a lot of run around on this call and it was a nightmare!)

GF Private Dining 407-824-2578 This was the number that I ended up using and booking the cake and slipper through them was very easy.

We've done this half a dozen or so times, it's wonderful! My DH doesn't mind it, he gets a beer and pound cake--don't even go there LOL!

We do dress up a bit, polo and walking shorts at minimum for DH, I usually wear a sundress. The one time I went in shorts and a blouse I felt very underdressed.
