Has anyone eaten at he Chef's table lately?I understand that you are seated with others at a large table in the kitchen area. How was the meal? Any information would be appreciated.

I would like to know this info as well. Plus would like to know if they allow children to dine there for dinner ages 13 and 3. What are is the policy and would you bring your child?

I'd love to know too - we have reservations for it in 2 weeks and I'm excited ( and hungry!) to go.

I was told when I made the reservation that the seats are actually at a counter facing into the kitchen.

:)

OOOHHH lucky you RamseyTrio, when you get back please post here on how you liked it. Also if you seen any little kids there.
Thanks

I've eaten at the counter, but didn't get Chef's table service.

When my sister and I tried to eat at the restaurant last Nov, we couldn't get an early reservation (same day), so we showed up at the door around 6pm. The counter was not being used right then (there was a reservation for 8pm) and we talked the matre d' into letting us eat there since we knew we'd be long gone before they needed it.

We ate off the menu and got really nice service from our waiter, who did take the time to talk to us about what was going on in the kitchen. We really enjoyed our meal.

Hope that helps just a bit. -HM

It's definately a counter which faces the kitchen. It is on the back wall of the dining room. Kids could probably sit there..with kids I would prefer a table.

We have eaten at the counter at Emeril's (not the bar..the counter) and it was more of a pain than anything else.

We made reservations for our November trip. What kind of food do they have? Is it all Asian?
Do you sit at regular tables or do you share tables with other people? I'm under the impression that this is like a Shogun rest. where several seats surround the grill. Do I have this right?

kathyclownfish,
Are your reservations for the chef's table or just regular reservations? At the chef's table you would be with other people. Other than that, each party is at their own table. It is not like a restaurant where they cook right at the tables.
The service is FANTASTIC and the food is too.
