We would like to go to one of Emeril's restaurants w/our two teens on our last night at US/IOA--I understand Emeril's onCitywalk is New Orleans cuisine and TchopChop is more Asian fusion cuisine. Which would you recommend and why? Also, can we dress casual for both? I''m assuming all restaurants connected to the park in some way must be casual dress to accomodate all visitors?

Me and teen daughter ate at Tchoup Chop this month and it was great!.....The service was fantastic and the atmophere was wonderful. She enjoyed her meal very much.

We took the water taxi from City walk so we were already dressed in jeans/nice shirt, sandals...It was a very casual dress code and we didn't feel out of place.

I didn't book Emrils for that trip because it was more of a formal dress code and since it would have been day 8 of our vacation, neither one of us would be in the "dressy" mood.

I will try Emrils next vacation but I'll make sure to book it on the front end of our stay.

That's good to hear. My kids love Asian food so I tend to think the menu would suit them better at TchopChop. The conceierge at HRH said Emerils is more formal but when I called Emerils directly they said just "no sleeveless shirts" for men??

We are only staying at HRH three nights (2/5-2/8). First night is MardiGras, second night is Superbowl so I figure the only truly "free" night we have is our last! It's really hard figuring out where and when you want to go to dinner a month ahead of time!! But I feel I need to make reservations ahead of time because of the events that weekend. Actually, I assume the parks will be pretty empty superbowl Sunday even though the game won't start till dinner time or so. :grouphug: I would really like to try one of Emerils restaurants, the Hard Rock Cafe, Finnegans and Margarittaville for either lunch or dinner during this trip. They seem to be the ones that get the most positive reviews.

As a surprise I rented a cabana for Superbowl Sunday but now I'm wondering whether the TV is too small!!

I haven't ate at either of them yet, but we are going to be going to Tchoup Chop when we are there next week! I can't wait to try it as I have heard so many wonderful reviews on this board about it! :)

they are both fabulous. we prefer Emeril's, it's less conjested. some of the tables at Tchop Chop are crammed together. but it's a beautiful restaurant. Emeril's is more american eclectic, we can get our daughter a ribeye there and she's happy. different cuisines, but both are great picks. :D

Go to Emeril's website and check out the menus for both of the restaurants. We LOVED Tchoup Chop. The service and food were fantastic!

I haven't been to either but after looking at the restaurants' menus online (emerils.com), DH and I decided on Tchoup Chop. We're going in May and you can make reservations 6 months in advance--so make them NOW!

It would be hard to pick just one of these great restuarants. We love them both. I really don't think you can go wrong at either. Teens may prefer Tchop Chop somewhat over Emerils. Next month we will be dining at both during out stay at PBH!

I just made reservations today at Tchoup Chop for our trip in February. I have taken my DS (18) twice and he prefers it over Emeril's, which we've been to once. Food and atmosphere are fantastic.

Food at Emeril's is also fantastic, but we prefer the atmosphere of Tchoup Chop. Whatever you decide, you will enjoy a great meal!!

Enjoy!

Just made reservations for Tchop Chop for our last night  After looking at the menus and reading comments I think our teens would find more to like on the menu at Tchop Chop. :mickeybar Thanks all.
