TCD- just back from the Fort- read my ramblings here!

Well boat man was still there on Halloween. I believe we found a relative to tarpman in another loop. We just got home so will have to see if we have a picture of that one.

LOL! I told Randy that he was now dubbed Tarp Man on the FW forum of the DIS boards and he gave me permission to post his reply to me, here:

Gee, I feel so famous. Tarp Man....Do I get a mask and cape?

(50's announcer voice) Tarp Man! A visitor from a far off reality who
battles for truth, justice and the ability to keep sun and rain off
your head! :)

If you want to, you who post over there on Dis can let them know that
most of the time when I was "just sitting there" I was deep into
processing and editing a few of the thousands of photos I took. I
could only hit the parks for about 3 to 5 hours a day and then would
have to take a couple of days to process the resulting photos. I
actually spent too much time in the parks as it was, as I am still
processing images as I type this (two seperate computers running) and
have almost gotten to the half way point. But I have some absolutely
beautiful panoramas.

And tell them that there is no tarp woman, or tarp kids and I am very
friendly. So if they see me there again, stop by to say hi. I love to
meet new people. :) (and I promise to leave my axe murderer gear
packed away). ;)

..................................................

Me again....Randy can do some fantastic things with photos. During our RADP Splash Mountain Meet, he buys all the photos with RADPers in them and puts us all together in one HUGE, LONG log. That can be a pretty long log when you have close to 40 people at your meet. My old computer died and I lost some of my photos but I'll see if I can dig up one of those custom made Splash log photos.

So- let me see if I have this right.

Two members of our camping board family know Tarp Man, and he is apparently a regular at the Fort.

So, why isn't he a Dis Board member?

Let's get with it here! Somebody tell Tarp Man that he is welcome to join the party!

Next time I'm at the Fort, I'll stop by to say hello to Tarp Man.

Boat Man, I'm not so sure about. ;)

Bring it on!

Let's see some photos!

While we were there I visited with the man who built the teardrop. He said he got the plans from a Popular Mechanics plan. He said he had very limited ability in the trades. The back end opened up with a sink and storage space. He put a small air conditioner through the back wall. He built it on a utility trailer. It weighed about 800 pounds. Inside he had a bed and could put "chairs" inside with and a TV in one end. He was with the campers from St Andrews United Methodist church. I would love to build one of those tear drops, it would sure save on gas mileage.
Thanks for the pictures.

We just got back, and I think we saw Tarp Man II, also. Did it look like he was having a flea market to you? Didn't see boat man though.

Ha! I saw this title pop to the top and thought, "wow, TCD sure gets to the Fort a lot for a boycotter!" I was thinking his boycott kept him away about as much as the SBC's boycott kept me away from Disney... not at all! And then I saw the thread was from '07.
