Anyone ever have a TB skin test and have it turn really red and itchy? Mine has been that way for a week. So bad they are referring me back to my Dr. because they can't read it. I have to have a chest Xray. Wondering if this is an allergic reaction gone horribly horribly wrong or if this is a BAD sign?

You may have been exposed to TB at some point in your life. This doesn't mean you have TB though. If they determine that you have then you shouldn't have anymore skin tests because they will just make you uncomfortable with the reaction.

You are not suppose to itch it. That can make it bad. I wouldn't worry about it.

We used to have one of the junior volunteers have that happen every year (I was in charge of the "candy-stripers for 3 years or so at the local hospital) and every time his doctor made him have the x-ray, which came out negative every time. Turns out he was just allergic. EW I hate those things. I'm glad I don't have to have one anymore...that just grosses me out seeing the bubble...UGH!!
