HI everyone... I am back!!!! My computer was down for awhile :scared1:!!! I have still been checkin in on my work computer :surfweb:..... Since I was last on we have had alot going on... December 6 was Taylor's birthday princess: She is now 9!!!! I found that on her birthday I was very emotional.... I kept thinking that she is just a kid & she knows to well what words like mediport, chemotherapy, IV hydration...etc,( I could go on & on....) she has been through & continues to go through more than any child or person should have to in their lifetime.... :sad2: I was on an emotional roller coaster that day!!!! :confused3

ANYWAY ~~~ On to the happy stuff.... :) Her birthday was a blast she had so much fun  My parents gave her the gift saying they would be joining us on the trip.... I will post pics on here.... That was her favorite gift!!! We got her a digital camera it was only $40 normally $90!!!! :woohoo: She has been asking for one for awhile now!!!

We also went to see the Radio City Christmas show while I was not on, we went yesterday. It was amazing... the girls loved it, they really soaked every part of it in. Taylor was mesmorized by it all & Samantha was dancing & singing with them!!! She NEVER does that, she may want to return to dance just so she can be a Rockette.... :dance3: I will post pics of the city now.....

Here she is opening the digital camera :cheer2:

Thank you all sooooo much for Taylor's Birthday wishes..... :) She had a really good birthday.

Wendy ~ I asked her your question about the ride & she said "That's a tough one.... " LOL :) Do you have any must see suggestions for us??????

Also does anyone know where we could get some of the Disney pins to trade? I went to the Disney store but no luck, do they only sell them online? :confused3

I am going to be taking out a few books from the library to research the rides & attractions for the kids but if they are any suggestions from anyone that a 9 year old girl & 7 year old girl must see please feel free to let me know....:thumbsup2

Taylor starts her next round of chemo next Monday :sad2: she will go all week through Friday. We are hoping that she doesn't feel to bad for Christmas Day.... she said that she is so sad that she has to go Christmas week, she misses out on alot of holiday things at school. We go this Wednesday to check her levels before she starts again on the 20th.

I hope everyone else is doing well...... I can't believe we are exactly 3 months away..... :dance3:

Hmm - dont miss ANYTHING!!! lol...really - do they like big fast rides or ??? I LOVE all the mountains at WDW!! and Rock and Rollercoaster is prob my most favorite ride of all!!! But, I also like all the traditional rides like Peter Pan. Ooohh Mickey's Filharmagic is really cool. I love all the night time shows and fireworks too! The park just seems magical (and much cooler - lol ) at night time!

Such a bummer about Chemo on Christmas! It will be 2 years exactly that My DH and Daniel's mom were in the meeting when they were told Dan's tumor was medullablastoma. So, he was in the hospital on Chrismas day, but even though he wasnt feeling great, they made it as nice as possible for him. I hope Taylor feels good on Christmas!!! Tell her to remember that she can do Christmas over again at GKTW!!!!!:wizard:

Winnie the Pooh!!!! They have a new queue that is really interactive for the kids. Check out this link so you can see all the cool stuff the kids can play with while waiting on line. I can't wait to play with the honey screen. :lmao:

As for pins, check out the Disney Store's clearance area (both online and in store). If they kids are looking to trade the pins, it won't matter what characters they get. You can check eBay too but be careful, there are a lot of 'fake' pins being sold for cheap. It's hard to tell them apart and I was suckered into buying some on eBay too. I wouldn't want to trade them because it isn't fair to the people who take the trading really seriously. I'll see if I can post the link to the eBay pin traders thread which lists trustworthy eBayers to buy from. It's a long thread but the first page shows the list of the eBayers.

They are not really into the really fast & big roller coasters yet. So we are trying to find some maybe "beginner" type of coasters. Taylor seems to get headaches :sad2: if we go on to many fast paced rides back to back, so we have to do everything in moderation. :) What is the Peter Pan ride? Is that in MK? We are going to try to do the night time shows & fireworks... We ALL love the fireworks...:woohoo:

I am so happy that your DH & Daniel are doing better. It is really hard around the holidays. I am usually emotional this time of year to begin with but this year its crazy!!!!

Thank you for all of the info...

I will definately be doing the Pooh ride... I showed the girls that one & they both were excited about it. I will probably be playing with all the cool interactive stuff too.... :lmao: We will all be like kids when we get there...

Thanks for the info & the thread on the pins... I did see some on Ebay before I posted the question on here & I figured that they had to be fake to be so cheap. The girls want to start a collection so I figured this is a perfect time for it... :)

PP is a tame ride in Fantasyland in the MK. You are in a pirate ship and are flying over the story of Peter Pan. It is a must DO!

Wishes (the fireworks in the MK) is my all-time favorite thing to see/do in the MK. I wouldn't miss it. The best spot to watch it is where the hub (infront of the castle) and Main St. meet. You should be able to see Tinkerbell fly from there.;) :thumbsup2

With the GAC that you will have, you get to skip the regular line and go through the fastpass line. Unless you really want to WAIT in that revamped, awesome cue! LOL

We got our trading pins at the Disney Character Outlet - in the outlets right near Disney World - they were only 99cents/piece!! We also got the kids lanyards there cheap too!!! I think that the outlets are hit or miss though - lol. But, we did have a good time trading them. Some of the cast memebers were extra nice when Dan was trading his pins. I think that was really one of his favorite things about the trip!

Thanks, he is doing well healthwise. Due to the location of his tumor, he has a lot of PT/OT/Speech issues and is still doing therapy 3x/week!

There arent toooo many fast/wild rides at disney. But universal is a lot of big roller coasters. What about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? THe Buzz Lightyear ride and Toy Story Mania are a lot!! Ooh and the Monster's Inc Laugh show is a hoot! Soarin is a favorite and test track goes fast at the end, but no big hills or anything. I'd stay clear of the spinny side of Mission space if she gets headaches. THere is a side that doesnt spin though - just ask.

Just found your PTR.. your girls are beautiful! I belong to a mommies board and a little boy on there also has Histiocytosis and I've read a little about it. Sounds like you have a great plan laid out for your trip, I look forward to reading all about it!

:welcome: Thank you for signing up....It amazes me because I have found so many people affected by Histiocytosis & it is so rare.

So sorry that I have been gone for so long.... Taylor had chemo last week then last min Christmas things then Samantha is sick  & they think that she may have the flu!!! YUCK!! we are waiting for the flu test results.

Last week was a better week for Taylor during her chemo, she didn't actually get sick but she was still nasueous. She also spiked a 103 temp  so we were in the ER all night one night.

The Radio City Rockettes came to the hospital one day to read a book to the kids and they came around to say hello.... that made her day :). I will post a pic when I upload it to photobucket.

We also had a couple of suprises last week that really showed us what the Holiday Season is all about ~
While Taylor was getting her chemo last week her teacher called my cell phone on Thursday afternoon & asked to speak to Taylor. When I put Taylor on the phone the whole class said hello, her face lit up like a Christmas tree. The class & her teacher then sang like 4 or 5 Christmas :santa: songs to her over the phone. Taylor had a smile :) on her face the whole time. I, of course, was emotional & started to cry, so did one of the nurses, so I didn’t feel so stupid. Taylor was like “Why are you crying? This is so mice of them, they made me so happy.” I told her I was just very touched by it & she laughed at me & said, “No you are just to emotional.” On Wednesday of last week I spoke with a gentleman who is the head of the Boy Scout troop from Taylor’s school & he said that the boys had a little something for Taylor & would love to come by and drop it off before Christmas so we made arrangements for them to stop by on Thursday night around 7:30. So Thursday night around that time Johnny looks out the door to see if he sees anyone so they know what house it is & he says to us “Come here & look outside”, when I walked over to the door there was a line of cars coming down our block & when they stopped in front of our house we all were outside. There were at least 50 people there as well as Santa, Rudolph, a Christmas Tree, Christmas Bear & a Wooden Soldier. They all got out & gave Taylor a snowman & a card with the money they had collected for our family. Then they sang Christmas :santa: songs to all of us & gave us a Peace Candle from Bethlehem to keep lit until after the New Year. When we went inside I broke down, I just didn’t expect so many people or for them to do all of that for our girl. It was very emotional & I can’t put into words what this meant to us.

It was an amazingly emotional & exhausting week.... I am now going to try to focus on Samantha getting better & then on planning, planning, planning for an amazing time on Taylor's wish trip.... :wizard:

I am going to go catch up on some threads now that I have been missing out on... I can't wait to see what everyone has been up to.... :).

 Aww!! Taylor was really blessed last week, I think its wonderful that she got all that extra love during her chemo week. :)

I hope Samantha gets better soon and it isn't the flu. At least she has off from school right now so she can recover, right?

I am so happy that Taylor got some extra Christmas surprises last week during her Chemo week!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I hope Samantha feels better soon, this crud that is going around is horrible, I hope it isn't the flue and I am praying hard that Taylor doesn't catch it.:worship:

I can only imagine how emotional you were last week, with all the surprises for your baby. I know when special people do special things for Abby when she is broken, my heart explodes and the tears fall.

:hug::hug:to all of you.
