Taylor's Once in a lifetime wish 3/13 ~ update 3/12 More BIG GIVES & time to go pg 30

I hope you enjoy the Radio City show.... We wanted to take the girls this year but with her being sick we wouldn't have been able to afford it. It definately is weird not paying for it though, weird but nice :)
I found a code online and was able to get $90 tix for 1/2 price! Still pricey but much easier on the wallet! :lmao:

I'll try to get some pictures for ya! :goodvibes

We figured March weather would be good, she will not be able to do well in the Florida summer heat.
You should have average temps in the mid-70's. Very nice!:goodvibes

I am going to try to work out a tentative schedule within the next few days & make reservations. I think we get a 3 day Disney Park Hopper, 2 day Universal Park Hopper & 1 day Seaworld. Do you or anyone else have any suggestions on how to break those up ???? We definately want to do MK, AK, HS. We would like to go to MK twice, we def want to do SeaWorld & we have not been to US or IOA. We don't know how to break it up though...:confused3
We will be landing in Orlando at 12:05 on Sunday 03/13 and leaving Orlando at 2:50 on Saturday 03/19. Any suggestions greatly appreciated..... :)
Maroo has some good ideas for you. See what events you want to do at GKTW then base your park days around those. Having park hoppers help.. such as you can hit AK in the am-afternoon then head to MK or Epcot in the late afternoon till close. I guess it all depends what you want to see. We have never been to SeaWorld or Universal and are fitting some time for those in too. It does kinda stink that your arrival and departure day are kinda shot but the day you arrive you can hang out at GKTW, go to a non-park character meal for dinner, or check out DTD (Downtown Disney).

Sunday night is the 'World's Biggest Candyland Game' at GKTW. Don't know if your kids are too old for that though. :confused3

I can not believe your trip is so soon... You guys must be getting really excited :woohoo:
We are getting excited!!!!!! :yay:

Thanks !!!! We are not sure yet as far as eating goes.... We are probably going to try to take them to see the tree afterwards, depending on how Taylor is feeling, sometimes she gets tired quickly.

When is your birthday in March? My mom is March 30, my aunt is March 19, my brother is March 14 & my godson is March 8... so we like March in our family too.... :)

Aw, if you go to the tree make sure you get a family shot with it. :goodvibes Maybe you can stop by Macys Herald Sq to see Santaland... wait, is it even open yet? Or do they wait until after Thanksgiving. LOL, I leave the state and forget everything.:goodvibes

Ooh, you had a couple of close dates to my b-day, its March 24th. Wow that is so funny that you have a lot of March people, for me I have a ton of August birthdays and the worst part is that they are like within a 2 week span so you can imagine how tired we get of cake (yes, you can get tired of cake).

Woo Hoo on your dates!!!!

Tell Taylor that I hope she feels better really really soon!!! What a bummer to feel so awful!!!

WOOO HOOOO dates!!!! How exciting! Does it seem real now? I'm sorry Taylor is not feeling well. I pray she feels better and the chemo gets easier for her. Congrats on the show! That sounds like a blast!

We got our flight info...... :cool1: so I made up the beginning of a tentative schedule. I am sure that it will change a thousand times before we actually go ;). I am open to ANY & all suggestions/tips that anyone would be willing to give me. OK here it goes....

Sunday March 13 ~
Arrive at ORLANDO airport at 12:05pm
Get to GKTW by 1:00 (Do you think this is a good estimated time?)
Check out GKTW & go to orientation (Are there set times for orientation?)
Go to Downtown Disney sometime this day & make Reservations for Chef Mickey's ~ (Taylor wants to eat with Mickey & Donald)
Get a good nights sleep.

Monday March 14 ~
Magic Kingdom Day!!! Girls are very excited about going here....
We are planning on just hanging out all day/night here this day taking it as it comes.
We are thinking of doing the BBB & possibly eating at Cinderella's castle this day???

Tuesday March 15 ~
SeaWorld then Family Fun Night at GKTW

Wednesday March 16 ~
We are planning on doing AK in the morning/early afternoon then
DHS late afternoon/evening & see Fantasmic
Do you think doing this in one day is possible? I don't think they will want much time at AK?

Thursday March 17 ~
IOA/US is it possible to do both of these in one day? Then we were planning on catching some of the Winter Wonderland at GKTW

Friday March 18 ~
We want to end our Disney trip at MK so we were planning on going back there on Friday night...
We think the girls may want more time in DHS so we were thinking of going to DHS this morning then back to MK for late afternoon/night.

Saturday March 19 ~
Our flight out is at 2:50 so we were planning on just getting up & hanging out at GKTW to see anything else we may have missed throughout the week.

What do you all think? Please be honest..... I need all the help I can get... :lmao:

Well I gotta go do some chores now :laundy:, get ready for Taylor to hopefully go back to school tomorrow.... she should be ok she is feeling much better, :woohoo: just tired.

We have been looking at everything & we looked at eating at Cinderella's Castle & the menu. We don't know if it is worth spending that kind of money when both myself & the kids are very picky & plain eaters????? We are not sure what to do now.

It is not so much eating with the princesses as it is talking to them & meeting them so do you feel that the girls will get enoug interaction with them because we have a "magic button"???? :confused3

Also my parents & my brother & his girlfriend may be coming down for a few days with us. If they are online with us & we get pulled to the front will they be able to come with us?

Any advice??

We were in the same situation as you as far as visitors - Bill and I were the "visitors" with Daniel's family of 7. When Daniel got his pass, he could not include us (the write the number of people in your party on it) - but, only 2x (Kali river rapids and Expedition Everest) did someone ever check to see the number on his tag!!!! Fortunately, his baby sister and mom didnt go on those 2 rides so we were within the party of 7 anyway! I'd certainly give it a try - Taylor could aways say my grandparents came to be with me on my wish!!!!!!:wizard:

Is your MAW trip including a special dinner? Maybe that could be paid for by them? I do think you will get some good interaction with characters though!!!:wizard:

We made our first dinner reservation :banana::banana::banana: it is for Chef Mickey's on the Sunday we get there for 7:30 !!!!!
We have not told the girls yet ~ we may keep it as a surprise for the day we get there!!!
It is starting to feel a little more real now :woohoo:!

Hooray for Chef Mickey's!!!:banana::cool1:

I wanted to mention, maybe you could do breakfast with the princesses at Akershus instead of Cinderella's castle? See if that menu appeals to you more. I know you don't have it on your schedule but if you try to make the reservation early enough I don't think it will interfere with your plans for any of the other days.

Hi everyone. Thank you for coming to Korissas PTr. I tried to post here the other day but my phone wasn't letting port replies while I was at the hospital with my youngest. I sure hope we can meet up some time. Your plans sound great. We plan on going to DHS on Monday...Tuesday we may go to DW(if not this day..than Friday)...if we don't go to DW than it's either US or IOA. Wed is AK and then Epcot. Thursday is Sea World and Christmas night at GKTW. Friday..DW if we don't do it Tuesday...if we did than its either US or IOA. which one we didn't do on Tuesday. We are staying 4 extra days so we can go to the beach and go to Bush Gardens.
Congrats on getting an ADR to Chef Mickeys. Taylor will be so excited when she finds out.

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!!! We had a very good day.....
Does anyone else know if doing IOA/US in one day is really possible? I have not been there so I don't know what to expect.
Also as for Animal Kingdom we figured the first part of the day will be good enough for that ~ is that true?
Kris ~ do you have your flight info? I was wondering when you would be arriving on Sunday? We were worried about losing the whole day but we will get to Orlando at noon so we have a good amount of the day to check out GKTW & everything. .
SmileyChrissy ~ I will look into that, thanks for the info.....

We need all day to do both parks, but that's because my kids love the fast rides. I guess you can do IOA in a half day.
We don't have flight times yet. They aren't going to do it until mid Dec. I can say that we won't be in until night. We are coming from the West. I wanted to do a red eye so we can get there at 6am and have the whole day at GKTW but my kids didn't want to fly at night.

Awesome!! We are trying to decide on a character meal. Your plans look really good so far!!

I was thinking the same thing as Crissy- Akershus instead of CRT for picky eaters. Not only do they bring hot breakfast food to your table, but there is a buffet with fresh fruit, bagels, toast, cinnamon rolls, etc... The only thing is Cinderella usually doesn't appear at Akershus.

It is not so much eating with the princesses as it is talking to them & meeting them so do you feel that the girls will get enoug interaction with them because we have a "magic button"???? :confused3
I think they would get as much interaction with the princesses at the meet & greets. But maybe someone else will chime in here. :confused3

Awesome!!! Chef Mickey's is such a great place to start! That will get everyone in the Disney spirit!!! :wizard:

I am very excited to say that my parents as well as my brother & his girlfriend are trying to go to WDW the same time as us :banana::banana:!!! Having my parents go was part of Taylor's Wish but immediate family is only included so they are trying to see if they can afford it on their own, it won't be easy but they are really trying to get enough $$ together to go. We are all thinking of giving Disney gift cards as Xmas gifts.... ;)

I really hope it works out & they can go. They have never been there before so it will be amazing for all of us to be there together as a family!!!!:)

Wow, that would be really awesome if they could all go. I'm going to PM you a thread that is on the DIS that may offer some help with them booking a room. Its for hotels in the IHG group (Holiday Inn, etc) and I think it includes the one on Hotel Plaza in DTD so even though they won't be on Disney property, they are as close to it as they can be. I hope it helps.

EXCITING NEWS FOR US!!!!! My parents have worked out a plan & they will be meeting us in Disney our 2nd day there... :dance3:. I am sooooo happy because this was a very big part of Taylor's actual wish. :) We have not told her yet, my Mom wants to tell her on her birthday, I can not wait to see her face, I will take some pics to post on here ;).

I also wanted to ask a question as far as our reservations we have, if we were to call would we be able to add them to our reservation? :confused3 Is is a pain in the you know what????

We had our trip to the "North Pole" yesterday with the children's hospital. The girls had a blast. I will upload pics tomo & post some. I posted some pics on her carepage already if anyone would like to take a look there the link is http://www.carepages.com/carepages/TaylorR
Next Tuesday we go to the Radio City show  we can not wait. And of course this coming Monday is Taylor's 9th Birthday!!!:cheer2:

I just wanted to share our good news & ask the ? about the reservations?
Thanks.....:)

So happy they can make the trip!! Happy Birthday!!!! (early) DH's birthday is Tuesday!! Great month!

I am not sure about calling ahead to change them, but last time we went friends met us there, and we added 5 to our table when we checked in. Really didn't have to wait much longer. Hopefully someone can help you more!:santa:

Couldn't your parents stay with you at GKTW? The Villa sleeps 7 people. That way too they can eat with you when dining at GKTW.
