Taylor's Once in a lifetime wish 3/13 ~ update 3/12 More BIG GIVES & time to go pg 30

:thumbsup2I love the pictures!!!!! your family is so cute - and both your daughters are beautiful!!!

Have the girls started thinking about what rides they want to go on?

Great pictures! The ones from the pumpkin patch look like the place we go to for pumpkins here in CT. They have all kinds of decorations that you can take pictures with. :goodvibes

Your girls are beautiful! :)

I agree with the previous posters that it seems like GKTW might be the best for you guys...especially with the Grandparents going, because they would probably have a "free" place to sleep in your villa (since it sleeps 7). Depending on your chapter, you may have to purchase their park tickets (which honestly are fairly expensive since you would theoretically purchase Disney, Universal AND Sea World tickets.

And GKTW is the most amazing place on the entire planet!!

But...I can see some advantages to staying onsite if your kids have a particular place they REALLY want to stay...like a child that is obsessed with animals staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or something... But staying at GKTW is a once in a lifetime opportunity (unless you have more than one wish child and no one wants that!)...

Thank you all for the comments about our girls.... We LOVE them  !!!

We have decided that GKTW is prob best for us, we checked out the website & both girls loved it. :)

We had an appointment today with Taylor's oncologist, her #'s are still in the normal range for the most part but they are the LOWEST they have been since she started the chemo course back in August, this is the first time she will be starting chemo with her #'s this low so we are a little concerned & she has an MRI tomorrow of her pelvis so we are hoping that it goes well. Every test we hold our breath for the results..... :worried:

Thank you all again for taking the time to give us advice & reading our story!!! :)

Your girls are sooooo cute! We are going Feb. 20-26, 2011 and can't wait!!!!! Do you know your dates yet? It would be amazing if we could meet up at some point!:banana::banana:

I am so glad I am able to follow your posts on here. (of course I'm still trying to learn how) Where are you in your process? We just had our first visit with the wish volunteers on Thursday. So I guess we are just waiting for dates. I love your pics! Thanks for sharing!

Glad to see you figured out how to post pictures. Your girls are adorable (and that Taylor looks like one strong fighter:goodvibes

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile..... This week is Taylor's chemo week. She has had a bit of a rough time, she got VERY sick  yesterday after her chemo & she was hugging the bowl every 20 min yesterday from 2:30pm - about 8pm. She was up every couple of hours last night because she had a headache, very sore (especially her ribs & legs). :sad2: She went for her chemo today & so far so good, she still feels sick to her stomach, has a headache & achy but no throwing up :).... I am hoping that the rest of the week goes ok.

On a brighter note..... at the hospital we were asked today if Taylor would like to go to the Radio City Music Christmas Show! WE are going Dec. 7th! :woohoo: She also got to meet Adam Graves from the New York Rangers while there today!!! Busy day for her :).
ALSO we got a call from Make A Wish ~ We got dates for our wish trip!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :dance3: We are going to be going March 13, 2011 - March 19, 2011!!!! We SOOOOOO needed this news this week!!!

I am going to do some research now & try to come up with a semi plan..... LOL How far in advance should I set up character meals? Do I call now?

If anyone has any suggestions about anything send them my way.........

I'm so sad to hear that Taylor is having such a tough time with the chemo this week. I hope she feels better. :goodvibes

How cool to be asked to go to Radio City! We are going on Monday- but we had to buy our tickets. :rotfl:

CONGRATULATIONS on getting dates!!!! :woohoo::yay::woohoo: The weather should be nice then. We have been down to Florida the 1st & 2nd week of March for the last 3 years and it usually is pretty decent.

I would try to think of a tentative schedule and start to book a few meals. You are going to be up against spring break season. There is no free dining or deals yet for March but if Disney decides to do free dining or something like that, the restaurants will book up quickly. The parks are going to be staying open late, which could be a good thing if you aren't morning people. :goodvibes

oh how fun about RAdio City.

Adam Graves is such a good person. He does so much good work for the Rangers Organization.

I hope she feels better and so great that you have your dates.

Hi there!

Congrats on getting your dates! Yaaaaay! :) We are first timers to Disney and MAW too, going in December.

I'm sorry Taylor's chemo made her so sick this week. But yay for all the fun stuff!

Sorry to hear Taylor's chemo is making her feel so sick.:sad2:

Yeah for the good news and super great news with dates!!!:yay::yay:

Hi  and welcome to your new addiction! :rotfl: Once you get the hang of all the abbreviations you'll be a pro. :)

Your daughters are so cute! I'm so sorry to hear that Taylor's chemo treatment this week has been rough on her.

Congrats on seeing the Christmas Show at Radio City. I always had wanted to check it out when I was living in NY but just never got the chance. Are you guys going to eat at any of the nearby restaurants and make it a day in the city?

And congrats on getting your dates for your upcoming trip. I saw March and my eyes lit up - my birthday is in March so its my favorite month. :)

I hope you enjoy the Radio City show.... We wanted to take the girls this year but with her being sick we wouldn't have been able to afford it. It definately is weird not paying for it though, weird but nice :)
We figured March weather would be good, she will not be able to do well in the Florida summer heat.
I am going to try to work out a tentative schedule within the next few days & make reservations. I think we get a 3 day Disney Park Hopper, 2 day Universal Park Hopper & 1 day Seaworld. Do you or anyone else have any suggestions on how to break those up ???? We definately want to do MK, AK, HS. We would like to go to MK twice, we def want to do SeaWorld & we have not been to US or IOA. We don't know how to break it up though...:confused3
We will be landing in Orlando at 12:05 on Sunday 03/13 and leaving Orlando at 2:50 on Saturday 03/19. Any suggestions greatly appreciated..... :)
I can not believe your trip is so soon... You guys must be getting really excited :woohoo:

Thanks !!!! We are not sure yet as far as eating goes.... We are probably going to try to take them to see the tree afterwards, depending on how Taylor is feeling, sometimes she gets tired quickly.

When is your birthday in March? My mom is March 30, my aunt is March 19, my brother is March 14 & my godson is March 8... so we like March in our family too.... :)

The thing to do first...I think...is to plan your nights... What things you want to do and plan those first...

For example...Do you want to do Christmas at GKTW? If so...that is on Thursday night. They also have parties some of the other nights...Like Candyland Party, Birthday Party and Pirate and Princess Party...

Do you want to do the light parade or Wishes? Or Fantasmic? Or Illuminations?

If so...you want to schedule those first...then fill in the rest of the days.

It is also going to be a busy week in Disney. We are possibly going to be there that week, too...and I have days planned out based on crowd calendars...but you don't have to worry so much about that on a wish trip...because you will front of the line access for the most part.

I also sorta try to do a long day followed by a shorter day followed by a long day...so you can sort of catch up on sleep...and try to spread out the longer days.

I can help you with this, if you want. Just PM me. :)
