Taxis - young children/new years eve

Hi - Just wondering whether any of you have used a taxi on New Years Eve (late at night) and wondered who you used and also if you know what happens about young children and car seats??

I am wondering whether we would be better off getting a taxi to and from our relatives villa back to the Hard Rock, rather than keeping a hire car and paying Hard Rock parking (which I really resent - despite loving the hotel to bits!!)

We have used mears and some of their taxis come with car seats provided. When you call for a taxi just request one with car seats and you should be fine, you might just have a longer wait than normal.

thanks Natalie - do you know whether you can book Mears in advance (as in before we go?) - just thought New Years eve would probably be busy!

Just had a look on their website http://www.mearstransportation.com/ and it appears you are able to pre book although i have never done it this way.

Yes now that it is all booked I am getting very excited !!- but I keep thinking we are going THIS year, but its not for more than 18mths!!!

The children are going to be really confused at Christmas, because I keep talking about it - I'm sure they won't understand why they are still in the UK this year!!
