taxis from airport

hi, has anyone experienced using a cab for two people from the airport to a disney hotel? is it easy to flag one down or are they scarce among all the towncars, limos and mears? anyone know the cost? thanks

Taxis aren't hard to find. They are expensive. From MCO to CSR it was around $50 without the tip.

We took a taxi one time. The man had prescription pill bottles
laying all over the front of his cab. I really didn't care for his driving either. I think we were charged 55.00 dollars for a one way trip. After that experience we now make sure we arrange our transportation thru a service recommended on this board. We have driven to Florida on the past four trips so I have not had to use them.

You would probably do better cost wise and service wise using one of the town car services that people talk about on these boards. Since the taxis are metered you would pay more if you get caught in traffic. The town cars just charge a flat fee. They also wait for you at the baggage claim and help with your luggage.
