Appoximately how much would it cost to get a taxi to the nearest grocery store and back? We're going the first week of August this year, and wegoshop is closed during this time. Netgrocer and Goodings do not deliver the items we need, therefor we're thinking about taking a taxi to the store and back. Any idea how much this will cost us?
TIA

I apologize if you already thought this one through, but did you contact Gooding's to ask if they have the items you want or are you going strictly by the lists on their website? I just got a delivery last week, and about half of my order was stuff not on their list. Way in advance, I had e-mailed them to ask if they carry a bunch of specific products, and they promptly replied and told me that they carried all but one of the items I needed. Just trying to help.

Thanks for the reply Eric, I did look thoroughly at what they offered, and unforunately they did not fulfill all my needs. Thanks for trying to help!

Not sure of cost but a hotel worker gave us this tip last time we stayed at CR. She said the taxi is cheaper from DTD and the cabs charge more to get to and from any resort inside disney. So when we wanted to go to the catholic church, she advised we take the free bus to DTD and then get a cab to church. This saved about 1/2 on the cab fare but took longer.

I love the DTD idea - I wonder about cabs even to the outlet centers. Hey the kids could go wild with $10 t-shirts or $5 trinkets. Their $50 each would go much farther than in the Parks.

I bet it is easy to catch a cab back from the outlet centers too.
Seems a bit like a tourist place where cab drviers could make some $$'s.

Do the outlet centers have food store too ?
That would be a nice addition for us tourists.

In 1999 DH took a cab from OKW to Publix to pick up our T'giving dinner. It cost close to $50. The next time we rented a compact car at CCC for $37 and had it for 24 hours and did an offsite dinner as well.
