Today we ended up taking a taxi because the Uber xl was going to be over half an hour. It’s clean, comfortable and $9 more than the estimated uber cost. The convenience was worth it this time.

We have been taking a taxi from SNA too because the convenience of just being able to walk up to one can't be beat!

Yeah, I love Uber but last few times it ended up being a 15+ min wait even for an UberX outta SNA.

I generally HATE taxis but there is value in being able to just hop in a cab that is sitting there and get to the parks, especially if you need an XL which is closer to taxi cost anyway!

...but that is the great thing about Uber...you can look and decide instantly if it is worth it or not.

We always take the taxi because it's the fastest. No wait, they're just waiting there for you. At that point, we're so close to Disneyland that I don't care what it costs - I just want to get there!

Is there a reason? I've used Uber once and never Lyft, but plan on using one of them in April.

Not who you're responding to, but Lyft is often slightly cheaper than Uber. If you're using either, it's usually best to have both and check their respective prices.

Also, if you are referred to use Lyft by a friend, you get some credits towards your first rides.

My family always cabs it from SNA to our Disneyland offsite hotel. $40US with tax, and tip and split between several people is just so worth it for us. We've done everything from Super Shuttle to the Disneyland Express bus and we wont attempt anything else. We thought about Uber this time around but with the split of costs it probably wouldn't be much more than it is now. Plus its nice to just walk out of the airport and have the taxi's right there. Hop in and go.
